We have heard your request for deliverance and for healing and safe weight loss for your son and we join with you in prayer together before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.
We understand the burden you feel when you speak of curses against you and your son. We want to encourage you with the truth of Scripture that for those who are in Christ, no curse has ultimate power over us. The Word tells us Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13 and There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. We do not need to live in fear of curses spoken by others, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. We rebuke any fear and any work of the enemy that would try to oppress you or your son, and we submit ourselves fully to God knowing that when we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7. Our deliverance is not found in rituals or in repeating words but in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and in walking in obedience and faith in Him.
We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. We lift up your son before the Lord. We pray for his physical health and for wisdom to lose weight safely as a good steward of the body God has given him. We remember that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit within us, which we have from God, and we are to glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are His 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that God will give him self control which is a fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22-23, and guide him and you to wise and balanced choices, to nourishing food, to healthy activity, and to godly counsel from trusted medical guidance, and that the Lord will bless his health even as his soul prospers 3 John 1:2. We pray against any shame or unhealthy striving and for strength to care for his body with patience and discipline for the glory of God.
We also pray for healing from past hurts for him. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We ask God to gently bind up every wound from the past, to replace hurt and rejection with His perfect love, and to help your son cast all his worries on Him, because He cares for him 1 Peter 5:7. We pray he will learn to forgive as Christ forgave us and to renew his mind in the Word, knowing that God can work all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28.
We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that through Jesus we have redemption and deliverance from every curse and every scheme of the enemy. We declare that any curse spoken against this dear one and her son is broken and has no authority, for Christ has redeemed them and they are covered by the blood of Jesus. We ask You to fill them with Your peace and assurance and to help them walk in faith and obedience to You. Father, we lift up this son to You. Touch his body, give him health and strength, guide him to lose weight safely and to honor You with his body. Your cry for deliverance has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.
Know this, that the true curse which lies upon sinners is the curse of the broken law, and from that curse there is but one deliverance. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. He bore in our place the wrath that was due to us, and by His blood we are bought with a price and set free. If any curse of man or of the enemy has been spoken against you and against this dear son, we pray that its power may be broken by the greater power of the cross, for God has found a ransom in His own Son. We ask the Lord to make His deliverance effectual in your lives, not by your own strength, for we can do nothing, but by His hand and outstretched arm alone, and to bring you forth as He brought Israel forth of old.
We pray also for this son, that the Lord who is the great Physician would grant him health of body and mind. We ask the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon him with healing beneath His wings. Grant him, O Lord, wisdom and self control and a sound stewardship of the body which is Thy temple, that he may lose weight safely and in a way that strengthens him for Thy service. Give him wholesome habits, perseverance, and contentment, and let his bodily health be renewed day by day by Thy merciful hand.

We commend you both to Him who is able to keep you from falling, trusting that the clock of mercy has struck the hour of your deliverance according to His eternal purpose. We pray that you and your son will know the full deliverance that is in Jesus Christ alone. Scripture says, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things that are written in the book of the Law, and it also teaches that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. For those who are in Christ, the curse has no final claim, for He has turned the curse into blessing. We ask the Father to make that truth firm in your hearts, to end every work of darkness against you, and to guard you in His peace. May you be delivered not only from outward oppression but from all that would keep you from walking closely with Him, growing in careful hearing of His Word, in fortitude, and in trust in His provision.
We also lift up your son before the Lord. We ask for wisdom and grace for safe and steady health in his body, for self control and strength, and for helpful counsel from those who care for him, so that any change in weight would be done in a safe and healthy way that honors God and cares well for the body He has given. We pray too for deep healing from past hurts. The church is like a spiritual surgery where the wounds we have received elsewhere can be healed as we hear the voice of the Spirit in Scripture. The Lord does not overlook even a sigh, and He is patient to heal. In Scripture the curses you are concerned about were proclaimed from Mount Ebal as warnings under the covenant God made with His people. After each curse the people were to answer Amen, which means so be it, agreeing that God is just when He judges disobedience. Later in Deuteronomy chapter 28 God lays out the condition plainly, if you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God and carefully keep His commandments you will know blessing, but if you turn from His voice and do not keep His ways the curses will pursue and overtake you. There are many more verses about the curses than the blessings, because the people disobeyed more than they obeyed. The point of that whole passage is not that words spoken by others have magical power over you, but that sin itself brings consequences and only God can deliver from them.
Our hope for deliverance is not in trying to break a spell, but in Jesus Christ. The prophet Isaiah said He has borne our griefs and carried our sicknesses, and Matthew shows Jesus fulfilling that word as He healed the sick and set free those oppressed by evil spirits. Through His death and resurrection He alone redeems us from the curse and brings us into blessing when we trust and follow Him. So we pray for you and for your son that you will both walk in that freedom, hearing His voice, obeying His word, and resting in the finished work of Christ.
