We join with you in prayer for deliverance and healing for you and your son and we thank you for bringing this request before the Lord.
We want to share what Scripture teaches about curses and deliverance so you can walk in peace and not in fear. If we are in Christ, no curse can stand against us because Christ has already broken its power. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree. Galatians 3:13. We do not need to live under dread of spoken curses or spiritual attacks, for greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 and For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We rebuke any fear that suggests a curse still has authority over you or your son when you belong to Jesus, and we encourage you to stand firm in faith, forgive those who have hurt you, turn from any sin, and walk in obedience to Him, for that is where our protection and freedom are found.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that deliverance truly comes. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is by calling on His name that every chain is broken and every curse is ended.
We lift up your son before the Lord for his physical health and for healing of past hurts. We pray that God will help him to steward his body in a safe and healthy way, with self control and wisdom, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray he will not be driven by shame or quick fixes, but will find strength and discipline through Christ, and that you will be able to support and encourage him with grace. Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2.
For the hurts of the past, we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. We pray that your son will experience that healing deeply, that memories of pain, rejection, or trauma would be replaced with the peace of God and the knowledge that he is loved and valued. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that through the cross all curses have been broken and we declare that no weapon formed against this dear one and her son shall prosper. We ask that You cover them with the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, driving out all fear, oppression, and heaviness. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her son, body, mind, and heart. Give him wisdom and self control to lose weight safely in a way that honors You, guide him to healthy habits and to any godly counsel or medical help he needs, and protect him from harm. Heal his heart from every past hurt, comfort him where he has been wounded, and teach him to cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him. Help them both to walk in faith, forgiveness, and obedience, and to trust You daily. We ask that they would know Jesus more deeply as Lord and Savior and live in the freedom He has purchased. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
