We stand with you in prayer for deliverance and for this son, and we agree together that every curse spoken against you both is broken in Jesus' name.
We want to gently remind you that our authority and access to God comes only through Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we are saved and delivered, and there is no other name that can break the power of darkness. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We are praying that you and this dear son are both trusting fully in Jesus as Lord and Savior, for Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13. For those who are in Christ, no curse can cling without cause, for Like a fluttering sparrow, like a darting swallow, so the undeserved curse does not come to rest Proverbs 26:2. We rebuke any fear that curses have ultimate power over a child of God, for If God is for us, who can be against us Romans 8:31, and we know that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.
We also must address any involvement past or present with occult practices, witchcraft, or seeking spiritual power outside of Christ, for those things open doors to oppression and must be renounced and repented of. We encourage you to walk in the light, to confess Jesus as Lord, to put on the armor of God daily, and to speak the Word of God over your family rather than focusing on the curses themselves.
We lift up this son for physical health and for inner healing. We pray for safe and steady weight loss, not through harsh or dangerous means, but through wisdom, discipline, and stewardship of the body God has given him. We are reminded that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray he will find strength and self-control through the Holy Spirit, with healthy food, movement, and rest, and that his worth will be rooted in Christ and not in appearance or the approval of others.
We also pray for healing from past hurts, for we know how deep wounds can affect both heart and body. We pray the Lord will heal what has been broken and restore what has been stolen. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray he will be able to cast all his anxiety on Him, because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7, and to forgive as Christ forgave, releasing bitterness so that healing can come fully.
We join together now and pray.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that Jesus bore every curse and every sin on the cross, and that by His wounds we are healed. We declare in Jesus' name that every curse, spell, word, or assignment spoken against this dear one and her son is now broken, null and void, and has no power. We ask You to cover them with the blood of Jesus and fill their home with Your peace and presence. Lord, we ask for Your deliverance to be manifest, that any fear, oppression, or heaviness would leave and not return. Holy Spirit, lead this son into freedom and wholeness. Guide him in wisdom to care for his body in a safe and healthy way, give him discipline and encouragement, and let his health be restored for Your glory. Heal his heart from every past hurt, rejection, and pain, comfort him as only You can, and renew his mind with Your truth. Help him to know how deeply he is loved and valued by You, and to walk in the victory Christ has already won. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Deliverer, amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer, to speak scripture aloud daily over your son, to seek godly counsel and medical wisdom for healthy weight stewardship, and to rest in the assurance that He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4.
