Beloved of All
We join you in bringing these needs before the Lord with thanksgiving, as we are taught to let every prayer be accompanied by thanksgiving.
We pray first concerning curses. Scripture says, Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things written in the book of the Law, and it also teaches that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us. Those who are in Christ are not under a curse to be feared or to be spoken against others, but are blessed through faith in Him. So we do not pray curses against anyone, and we do not fear curses spoken against us as having power over those who belong to Jesus. We ask the Lord to set you and your son free from any fear, oppression, or harm intended against you, and to establish you firmly in the knowledge that you are blessed and kept in Christ. May your mouth and heart be kept pure, not giving place to bitter or cursing words, but speaking blessing and forgiveness as Christ has forgiven us, for we are called to pray for others and to forgive as we have been forgiven.
We also lift up your son before the Father for health and healing. We ask God to grant him wisdom and strength to lose weight safely, to care for his body as a gift from God with discipline, good counsel, and steady habits, and to protect his health in the process. We pray for healing from past hurts, that the Lord who heals the brokenhearted would bring comfort, restore what has been wounded, and give peace that comes from continual hearing and remembering of His Word, with fortitude and trust in Him. May He lead you both into full deliverance from all that entangles, not only in one area but in a whole life of virtue lived before Him.
Father, we thank You that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that You hear those who come to You through Him. We ask for Your mercy and protection over this family, for safe and healthy growth for this son, and for deep inner healing from every past hurt. Fill them with Your peace, guide them in Your truth, and help them to walk in Your ways. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
