We join you together in prayer in Jesus' name for you and your son and we stand with you for deliverance, protection, and healing.
We understand the burden you feel when you speak of curses against you and your family. We want to encourage you with the truth of Scripture that those who are in Christ are redeemed from every curse and no weapon formed against us will ultimately prevail. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13 and there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus Romans 8:1. We rebuke fear and every assignment of the enemy against you and your son, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17, and greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. If there has been any opening to darkness through past sin, unforgiveness, or involvement with things not of God, we encourage you to confess it before the Lord, renounce it, and walk in the freedom Christ has already purchased, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share that it is only by that name that we have access to the Father and that all deliverance and healing comes. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name alone that curses are broken and prayers are heard.
We lift up your son before the Lord for his physical health and for healing from past hurts. We know our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and we are called to honor God with our bodies 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that the Lord will give him wisdom, self-discipline, and strength to lose weight safely and in a way that honors health, and that He will guide you to wise medical counsel and healthy daily habits rather than harmful or extreme measures. We pray also for the healing of his heart, for past wounds and rejection and pain that still linger. We hold to the promise that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and that He will give beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning Isaiah 61:3. We ask the Father to bring comfort, to teach him to cast all his worries on Him because He cares for us 1 Peter 5:7, and to guard his heart and mind with the peace of God which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. We pray that he would know how deeply he is loved and valued, for we are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and that the Lord would restore what was broken and lead him into wholeness in Christ.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that through the blood of Jesus every curse is broken and every chain is loosed. We declare in Jesus' name that every curse, spell, or word spoken against this dear mother and her son is ended now and has no power, and we ask You to cover them with Your protection and fill their home with Your peace. Lord, we lift up this son to You. We ask for Your healing hand upon his body, for wisdom for safe and steady weight loss, for strength to make healthy choices, and for Your grace to sustain him. Heal his heart from past hurts, remove shame and sorrow, and replace it with Your love and joy. Help his mother to encourage him with grace and truth, and draw them both closer to You each day. Lead them to walk in freedom, in forgiveness, and in faith. We ask all this in the name above all names, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
