Beloved of All
We join you in prayer and bring your request before the Lord with care and hope.
We pray that you and your son would know the full deliverance that is in Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that Christ has redeemed us from the curse, having become a curse for us, so that the blessing might come to all who trust in Him. Therefore we do not pray as those who fear that any spoken curse has power over those who belong to Christ, but we ask the Lord to establish you both firmly in His protection, to break every work of darkness, and to let you walk in the freedom and peace that belong to His children. May every fear be silenced by the cross, and may your home be filled with confidence in His keeping.
We also lift up your son before the Father. We ask for wisdom and grace for him to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, with self control and strength, and with good counsel from those who can guide his body well. We pray that the Lord would help him to steward his body as a gift from God, not through harsh or harmful means, but through steady and healthful habits that honor the Lord and renew his strength.
We pray too for healing from past hurts. This house of God is like a spiritual surgery where wounds received outside can be healed by the Word and by the grace of Christ. Healing often comes not in a single moment but through continual hearing of the Word, through recollection, through patience and fortitude. As a tree may receive many strokes before it bears fruit, so the Lord often works through many prayers, many teachings, and many small steps until at once abundant fruit appears. We ask the Lord, the true Physician, to continue His healing treatment, to not cease until the sickness is lifted, to restore what has been wounded, and to bring wholeness of heart and mind.
May the Lord who sees every sigh and every small act of faithfulness remember you, keep you in His Word, and grant you both health in body and renewal in soul. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and salvation, trusting in His mercy to bring you into lasting blessing.
