We join with you in prayer for you and your son and we stand together in the name of Jesus Christ for deliverance, protection, and healing.
We hear your concern about curses and we want to remind you of the truth of Scripture that for those who are in Christ, no curse has authority over us because Jesus has already broken its power. Galatians 3:13 tells us Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. And Isaiah 54:17 declares No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. We do not live in fear of curses or words spoken against us, for Romans 8:31 assures us If God is for us, who can be against us, and 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of self-control. We rebuke any fear or oppression that has tried to attach itself to you and your son, and we declare that any intended harm or curse is rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus.
We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true deliverance and salvation. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name alone that we pray and have confidence.
We lift up your son before the Lord for his physical health and for healing from past hurts. We pray that he will lose weight safely and in a way that honors God as he stewards the body God has given him, for 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 teaches that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. We pray for wisdom, self-control, and discipline, and for guidance to make healthy choices with food, activity, and rest, and to seek wise and godly counsel from trusted medical providers as needed, rather than harmful or extreme measures.
For the hurts of the past, we pray for deep inner healing. Psalm 147:3 promises He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We ask God to comfort your son, to heal memories and wounds, to replace shame and pain with His peace, and to help him forgive as he has been forgiven, so that bitterness does not take root.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that You are our deliverer and our healer. We ask that every curse, every word spoken against this dear mother and her son, every scheme of the enemy, be broken and ended now by the power of the cross. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper and we ask You to surround them with Your protection and fill them with Your perfect love which casts out fear. Lord, we lift this son to You, we ask for Your hand upon his body, that You would help him to lose weight safely and to grow in strength and health, give him wisdom and self-control and a sound mind. Heal his heart from all past hurts, bind up his wounds, restore what has been broken and give him Your peace that surpasses all understanding as Philippians 4:7 promises. Draw both mother and son closer to Jesus, deepen their faith, and let them walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already secured. We ask this in the name above all names, Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
We encourage you to continue to abide in Christ daily through prayer, reading Scripture, and fellowship with other believers, putting on the whole armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:11 so you may stand firm against all the schemes of the enemy. Trust that God is for you, that He loves your son deeply, and that He is faithful to complete the healing and restoration He has begun.
