Disciple of Prayer
Hi I need deliverance for my life from adultery since ### till now I am fighting to be free but after a certain time I fail again I tried my best and I am tired of my self always going in front of the almighty God apologizing And I have prayed for my self a lot of times and there is a time I feel like my prayers can't even understood I really need deliverance so bad because it hurts me so much to see myself in sin simultaneously

We hear the anguish in your heart and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord, for we know you are weary of this cycle and tired of coming again and again to apologize, feeling defeated and even wondering if your prayers are heard at all. We want you to know that God does see your struggle and He does hear the cry of a broken and contrite heart, and He desires to set you free indeed.

We must speak plainly with you in love because adultery is sin before a holy God and it grieves Him deeply. The Word says Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Hebrews 13:4 And Jesus said that even to look with lust is to commit adultery in the heart. This sin not only breaks the covenant of marriage which God ordained as a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, but it defiles your own body and soul. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 We rebuke this sin with you and we urge you to no longer make provision for the flesh, but to flee from every person, place, image, and pathway that leads you back into temptation. To go and sin no more as Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, Go your way. From now on, sin no more. John 8:11

We also hear that you have tried in your own strength and failed, and that is why you feel so hopeless. In your own strength you will always fail, but deliverance comes not by willpower alone but by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. We encourage you to submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 God has promised No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There is a way of escape, but you must take it, cutting off access, bringing your struggle into the light with a trusted pastor or godly mature believer for accountability, and daily renewing your mind in the Word. Sin will have no dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. Romans 6:14

You shared that at times you feel your prayers cannot even be understood. We want to gently share why we always pray in the name of Jesus Christ, because you mentioned the Almighty God but not the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved and cleansed. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 When you feel too weak to pray, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. Romans 8:26 Your prayers are heard when you come through Jesus in repentance and faith, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and that His blood alone can cleanse you. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 That cleansing is complete, not because you finally tried hard enough, but because Christ has paid it all.

So we pray together with you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our dear one who is crying out for deliverance from adultery. Lord, we confess this sin before You and we ask You to forgive and to cleanse thoroughly by the blood of Jesus. Create in us a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within us. Psalm 51:10 We ask You to break every chain and every stronghold of lust and adultery that has held this life since that time until now. Fill this heart with Your Holy Spirit and with a holy hatred for sin and a deep love for righteousness. Teach our dear one to flee temptation, to make no provision for the flesh, and to walk in the Spirit day by day. When weakness comes, remind us that Your grace is sufficient for us, for Your power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 Restore joy and assurance that prayers are heard through Jesus, and let there be true and lasting freedom, that this life may be presented as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You. We ask for godly sorrow that leads to repentance, for accountability and for healing of any wounds this sin has caused. We trust You to keep what is committed to You and to perfect holiness in this life. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We hear how heavy and tiring this has been for you, carrying this struggle since you named and wanting so much to be free, then finding yourself falling again and having to come back to God to apologize. It makes sense you feel worn out and even wonder if your prayers are getting through. That hurt you feel seeing yourself in sin at the same time you want to honor God shows your heart has not grown hard.

We want you to know God still hears you even when your prayers feel weak or stuck. Freedom in this area is rarely a single moment that fixes everything at once. For most people it is a longer walk of honesty and surrender, not just trying harder alone. The cycle of trying, failing, and feeling shame can keep a person isolated, and isolation makes it harder to change.

One steady next step that helps many is to stop fighting this alone. Would you consider inviting one mature, trusted pastor or counselor to walk with you regularly, someone you can be fully honest with week to week, not only after a fall. Together you can look at patterns, triggers and practical boundaries, and pray together for the Lord to do what you cannot do on your own.

Father, we bring our brother to You and thank You that You see his honest desire to be free. We ask You to lift the weight of shame, to draw him close when he feels distant, and to give him strength for each day and wisdom for the path ahead. Surround him with faithful help and keep leading him toward wholeness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your honest and aching confession has been heard, and the very weariness you feel with yourself is a mercy, for it shows you that self cannot save you. You have tried your best and failed again, and you have come again and again to apologize before the Almighty, until you fear your prayers are not even understood. Be assured, there is a way of deliverance that you would never have thought of, and God has thought of it and provided it.

The Scripture says, Then He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. It is a gift of Divine Love. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. Your hope is not in the strength of your resolutions or the fervor of your apologies, but in that ransom. Jesus Christ has borne the punishment that adultery and all sin deserves, so that God can be gracious to you and command your deliverance.

You must see the difference between a kind of repentance that judgments and terrors may produce apart from divine grace, and the repentance that God gives. The first is fallen nature washed and brushed, but still fallen nature, the heart not renewed, the life not regenerated. It turns from sin for a time and then goes back to it with greater gusto, as a man may abstain from food to increase his appetite. That repentance gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance. What you need is not a better apology but a new heart, and that is the work of God alone.

Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You must look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for sanctification. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and He can teach you the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, so that you are tempted in vain. In your own strength the cords of habit seem as though you could break them in a moment, yet they hold you fast. Only He can break them.

Hear also the word of forgiveness, for you fear your prayers are not heard. There is forgiveness with God. Though it were murder or adultery, whatever it might have been and however frequently it might have been committed, yet still we have the same Gospel for every creature, There is forgiveness. Divine pardon is the only forgiveness possible, for no one can remit sin but God only, and He does it through the blood of Christ. I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, saith the Lord.

Let your repentance be inseparably joined with faith. Any repentance that keeps you from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. Believe the gospel. Repentance ejects sin as an evil tenant, and faith admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. Repentance is the daily and hourly duty of the man who believes in Christ, and as you walk by faith you must have repentance as your companion all the journey through.

Therefore, flee from every occasion and provision for this sin. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, all sexual union belongs within it alone. Whatever leads you toward adultery, cut it off, make no provision for the flesh, bring your life into the light before a faithful pastor and godly brethren who can walk with you and hold you accountable, and seek the Lord not with a vague apology but with simple faith in His Son.

I will pray for you, that the gracious God who has found a ransom would say over you, Deliver him from going down to the Pit. May He keep back your soul from the Pit and your life from perishing, chasten you as a Father and not punish you as a Judge, and give you grace not only to be forgiven but to live and declare the works of the Lord, delivered indeed from the power of darkness. Look to Christ now, trust His blood and His power, and you shall be saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest words show a heart that is tired of sin and grieved by falling again, and that grief itself matters before God. You have been fighting this battle with adultery for a long time, you feel tired of apologizing, and at times you feel your prayers are not even heard. God does hear the prayer that comes from godly sorrow, and that sorrow is different from simply feeling ashamed or discouraged.

Jesus taught that the command not to commit adultery goes deeper than the outward act. He said that everyone who looks upon a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. This shows that deliverance must begin earlier than the act itself, at the level of desire and the eyes. Both anger and desire were placed in us for good, desire for the sake of marriage and children, but when we let desire wander outside the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, it becomes our enemy. As one of the homilies says, nothing is such an enemy of our nature as vice. Fornication and adultery make a person subject to reproach and bring disease and danger and wound the soul, while virtue as a loving mother sets us in good order and wisdom.

That is why Scripture calls us to cut off the vehicle of lust. Just as clamor feeds anger, so filthy talk and jesting and careless looking feed lust. If you want to be free, you must with a genuine purpose of heart remove what feeds the temptation. That means turning away the eyes, avoiding places and conversations and images that stir lust, ending private contact with the person involved, and bringing your struggle into the light with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can hold you accountable. Deliverance is not only a moment of prayer but a walk of sobriety of mind, with fasting and prayer as you would prepare yourself to stand before a king.

You asked if your prayers can be understood after so many failures. The answer is yes, but understand what repentance is. There is a sorrow of the world that only produces discouragement, and there is godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation, a repentance that brings no regret. Godly sorrow condemns the sin itself, not just its consequences, and turns back to God for help. The grace given in Christ is divine and no sin is too great for it to forgive. Yet Scripture also warns that after we have received grace, to return to sin as to vomit brings greater responsibility. One homily recalls that after baptism past sins are washed away, but sins committed afterward bring a heavier account if we despise the blood of the covenant. This is not to crush you, but to show you why you must not treat repentance lightly or delay amendment.

At the same time, the same teaching gives you great hope. Repentance has great force and is able to set free from the burden of sins even one who has fallen into the very depth of wickedness, if he will lay hold on it. Manasseh had filled the city with pollutions and blood, yet by repentance and consideration he washed away all those things. What was said to the paralytic is true for you also, sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you, but what was said through Jeremiah is also true, does not he who falls rise again, and he who turns away return. Christ can be formed in you again. There is no second baptism, but there is real renewal through repentance, with help from the Spirit given through prayer.

So do not stay in the place of only apologizing and then returning. Bring a full confession to Jesus Christ alone, for salvation is through Him alone, and ask Him not to bless the adulterous relationship but to cut it off and to cleanse you. Ask Him to give you a true hatred for the sin and a love for holiness. Then walk out that prayer with daily steps. Cut off the look, guard your eyes and your phone and your time alone, fill your mind with Scripture and with the good word of God, keep regular prayer and fasting, and stay under the care of your church. When you fall, do not hide, but quickly confess and get up again.

I will pray for you now.

Father in heaven, I lift up this one who is weary from a long battle with adultery and who feels his prayers are not heard. Have mercy through Jesus Christ Your Son. Grant godly sorrow that works true repentance unto salvation. Forgive his sins through the blood of the covenant and cleanse his heart. Deliver him from lust at its root, from the look and the thought that leads to the act. Give him strength to cut off what feeds temptation and to walk in sobriety, in fasting and prayer, with the help of Your Holy Spirit. Restore to him a clean conscience and power to live within Your design for marriage and purity. Keep him from returning to sin and establish Christ formed in him. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you have not already, please go to a faithful pastor this week, confess fully, and ask for ongoing accountability and prayer. God is able to give you full deliverance as you continue in a genuine purpose of heart.
