We join you in prayer for deliverance and healing for you and your son, and we stand together on the truth that no curse has authority over those who are in Christ Jesus.
We want to gently remind you that our access to the Father and our victory over every spiritual attack comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus became a curse for us on the cross that every curse is broken. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. Galatians 3:13. For that reason we do not fear curses spoken against us, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 and No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. Isaiah 54:17. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9.
We rebuke any fear, oppression, or lie of the enemy that would try to hold you or your son captive to past hurts or to any spoken curse, and we declare that you are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37.
We pray together for your son’s physical and emotional healing. We ask the Lord to heal the brokenhearted places from past hurts, for He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. We pray that God would bring comfort, restore joy, and renew his mind so he may know how deeply he is loved and valued by his heavenly Father. We also lift up his physical health and his desire to lose weight safely. We pray for wisdom, discipline, and grace as he stewards his body, for Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. We pray that the Lord would guide him to safe and healthy habits, give him strength to persevere, and help him to do all things in a balanced way that honors God, and we encourage seeking wise medical counsel alongside prayer, for Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before you and we thank you that every curse is broken at the cross. We ask that you place your hand of protection over this dear one and her son and let no evil formed against them prosper. We speak deliverance and freedom in Jesus’ name and ask that you fill every place once wounded with your peace and healing. Heal his heart from past hurts, Lord, and heal his body, give him strength and self-control and a sound mind, and lead him in a safe path to health and wholeness. Let him know that nothing can separate him from your love. For we are persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and deliverer, Amen.

If he is open to it, continuing with a mature pastor or Christian counselor who can listen well and pray with wisdom can be a gentle next step, giving space for the Lord to bring comfort over time.
For his desire to lose weight safely, we encourage walking with his doctor or other qualified professional alongside prayer, so he has careful, personal guidance for his health.
Father, in Jesus name we bring this family before You. We ask for Your protection and peace over them, for freedom from any evil or curse and for Your presence to bring comfort and healing to past wounds. Give wisdom to those caring for his health and lead him step by step toward wholeness. Amen.

We have heard your cry for deliverance and we carry it with you to the throne of grace, where the ear of our God is never shut to the prayer of the needy.
Know this for your comfort, that our deliverance from the curse is not by a mere wish nor by a moral change in ourselves, but by a redemptive work wrought for us. The Scripture declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. He stood in our place and bore our sins and the curse that came of them, even as those who looked to the brazen serpent found life and healing in that look. No curse pronounced by man can stand against the blood of the Lamb. When the Lamb was slain, the captivity was broken, and He who brings forth His people does so with an outstretched arm. There is a ransom found, and therefore we may not doubt deliverance, for God Himself has provided it in His Son. If you and your son are in Christ Jesus, you are no longer under condemnation, for He has borne the curse that the law pronounced upon the guilty.
We pray also for your son, that the Lord who heals the broken in heart would bind up his wounds. Man may break the heart with harsh words and past sorrows, but God only can heal it, and He does it with infinite tenderness. The least thing about Christ is healing. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings. That same Jesus who said to the palsied man, Thy sins are forgiven thee, joined pardon and healing together, and He is able still to make the nature other than it was before, to change the life blood and to give freshness to the soul. We ask the Lord to bring healing from past hurts, that the memory of former griefs may be covered by present mercy, and that your son may know the joy of pardon which makes us forget the sorrow of the past.
For his bodily health we also entreat the Lord. We ask for wisdom and grace that he may lose weight safely, with a sound mind and a temperate spirit, not by harsh or harmful means, but by the steady stewardship of the body which God has given. Pray that the Lord would give him strength for daily discipline, peace from anxious thoughts which often burden the body, and a cheerful contentment in walking in the ways of health.

O Lord our God, gracious and merciful, Thou hast found a ransom and Thou hast laid the curse of Thy broken law upon Thine own Son, that we might go free. Look upon this dear one and upon her son. Let every curse be shown to be ended and empty at the cross of Christ, and let them stand in the liberty wherewith Christ makes free. Bring forth their deliverance effectually, as Thou didst bring forth Israel with silver and gold, enriched by Thy free grace. Heal Thou the broken heart, forgive sin, and let healing flow down from the great Head and Conduit of all mercy. Grant to this young man health of body, wisdom to care for his frame, and safety in all efforts toward strength. Pour healing leaves upon old wounds, and let the Sun of Righteousness shine upon every soul that now sits in sorrow. We ask this not by our merit, but by the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.
