We join with you in prayer for you and your son and we stand together against fear and oppression, seeking God's will in Jesus' name.
We understand the burden you feel when you speak of curses. Scripture gives us clear assurance that those who are in Christ are no longer under any curse. Galatians 3:13 says Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. Proverbs 26:2 says like a fluttering sparrow, like a darting swallow, so the undeserved curse does not alight. Isaiah 54:17 says no weapon that is formed against you will prevail. We do not need to live in fear of spoken curses or generational bondage, for 1 John 4:4 says greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, and Colossians 1:13 says he delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love. We rebuke any claim the enemy tries to make over you and your son, and we declare that in Christ you are protected, forgiven, and free. James 4:7 says be subject therefore to God, but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. We choose to submit to God and resist every lie and assignment of the enemy.
We also lift up your son before the Father for safe and healthy stewardship of his body and for deep inner healing. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own, for you were bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 3 John 1:2 says beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. We pray for wisdom, self control which is fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, and discipline to make healthy choices, and we encourage seeking wise medical counsel and steady, safe habits rather than harsh or quick measures, doing all to the glory of God as 1 Corinthians 10:31 teaches. For past hurts, we know God is the healer of the heart. Psalm 147:3 says he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Philippians 4:6-7 says in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that every curse is broken and every prayer is heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you and your son to put your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, turning from sin and following Him, for then you abide under His complete deliverance and protection.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that Christ has redeemed us from every curse and that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We break, renounce, and reject every curse, spell, or word spoken against this dear mother and her son, and we declare them ended now by the blood of Jesus. Fill this home with Your light, peace, and presence, and let the enemy flee. Lord, we lift up this son to You. Touch his body, guide him to lose weight safely and in a way that honors You as the temple of the Holy Spirit. Give him strength, healthy desires, and perseverance, and guide those who advise him. Heal his heart from every past hurt, every wound, rejection, and disappointment. Bind up what is broken, restore what was stolen, and let him know how deeply he is loved and valued by You. Cover both mother and son with Your peace that surpasses understanding and lead them in Your perfect will. We ask all this in the name above every name, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
