We join with you in prayer for deliverance and healing for you and your son, and we bring these burdens before the throne of grace together in Jesus name.
We hear your concern about curses spoken against you and your family. We want to encourage you with the truth of scripture that for those who are in Christ, no curse can ultimately stand against us, for Christ has already won the victory. Galatians 3:13 tells us Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. And Isaiah 54:17 reminds us No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. The enemy may try to bring fear, oppression, or discouragement, but we do not need to live in fear of curses when we are covered by the blood of Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We rebuke any fear or superstition that would give more power to spoken curses than to the finished work of Christ on the cross, and we stand on the promise that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.
We also lift up your son for his physical health and for healing from past hurts. God cares about both body and soul. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods. We pray that your son will be strengthened to steward his body in a way that honors God, to lose weight safely and in a healthy manner, with wisdom, self control, and proper care, and we pray as 3 John 1:2 says, Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. For the hurts of the past, we know the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and Isaiah 53:5 declares By his wounds we are healed. We ask God to bring deep inner healing, to replace shame, rejection, or painful memories with His peace and love, and to help your son walk in the newness of life as a new creation in Christ as 2 Corinthians 5:17 teaches.

We ask in Jesus name that every curse, every word spoken against this dear mother and her son, every scheme of the enemy, be broken and rendered powerless now by the blood of Jesus. We declare that they are redeemed, forgiven, and protected in Christ, and that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We pray for this son, Lord, that You would touch his body and help him to lose weight safely and healthfully. Give him discipline, wisdom, and encouragement, guide those who advise him medically, and help him to honor You in his body. Heal his heart from all past hurts, Lord, bind up every wound, remove bitterness and pain, and fill him with Your love, joy, and peace. Restore what has been broken and let him know how deeply he is loved and valued by You. We ask that both mother and son would grow closer to You, walk in faith, and live in the freedom Christ has purchased for them. Your request for deliverance has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in prayer to Him who alone works deliverance with His hand and outstretched arm.
We pray that every curse spoken or sought against you and against this dear son may be broken and ended now, not by any power of our own, but by the redemption which is in Christ Jesus. The Scripture declares that Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, and we plead that perfect substitution on your behalf. As those who looked to the brazen serpent found life and healing in that look, so may you look to Him who bore sin and its curse in your place and know that you are delivered from condemnation and from every weapon formed against you. What the law curses, Christ has borne, that you might be free indeed.
For this son we pray also for healing in body and in soul. We ask the Lord, who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, to lay His healing hand upon him. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. We have heard your request for deliverance and we join you in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and every blessing.
We pray that every curse spoken or intended against you and this son would have no power, for Christ has redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us, and in Him we are free. We ask the Father to set you both under the shelter of His mercy, to deliver you from all evil and from every work of darkness, and to fill your home with His peace. As you seek Him, may you be strengthened by careful hearing of His word and continual remembrance of it, with fortitude and trust in His care, turning away from all that would draw the heart from God.
We also lift up this son before the Lord. We pray for his health, that God would grant him wisdom and self control and a sound mind and body, and that any need to lose weight would be met in a safe and healthy way under good care. May the Lord guide him in daily habits, give him strength to care for his body as a gift from God, and guard him from harm. We pray too for healing from past hurts. This house of prayer is like a place of healing where wounds received outside can be tended by the Great Physician. May Christ heal what has been wounded, comfort what has been grieved, and restore what has been broken, teaching both of you to forgive as you have been forgiven and to walk in newness of life.

Thank you for sharing this burden and asking for prayer. It is good to bring these concerns before the Lord and to seek His help according to His Word.
In Scripture the curses you mention are set out most clearly in Deuteronomy chapters 27 and 28. One mountain was appointed for the pronouncement of blessings for obedience and the other mountain for the pronouncement of curses for disobedience. After each curse was spoken the people were to answer Amen, acknowledging that the judgment was right. The curses were not arbitrary. They were the stated consequence of turning away from the voice of the Lord and breaking His covenant, while the blessings were promised if His people would listen diligently and keep His commandments. There are only a few verses of blessing and many verses of curse, which reflects how prone the human heart is to disobedience. The warning is solemn that those curses would pursue and overtake a people who persistently refused to obey.
That helps us understand how to pray for deliverance. The answer is not in a formula to end curses on demand, but in turning to the Lord Himself in repentance and faith and walking in obedience to His voice. Through Jesus Christ we have hope, for He has borne our griefs and infirmities, as Isaiah prophesied and Matthew shows fulfilled in Jesus when He healed the sick and set people free from spiritual oppression. On the cross Christ bore the penalty that sin brings, so that those who are in Him are no longer under condemnation but under grace. Our prayer for you and for this son is that any oppressive weight of sin, guilt, or spiritual bondage would be broken as you both trust fully in Jesus, confess sin where needed, and seek to follow Him faithfully day by day.

Sometimes He healed instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes healing was gradual, and sometimes He worked through natural processes that God Himself created in the body. All true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through a steady process over time. He is not confined to one pattern. We pray that the Lord will give wisdom for steady, healthy habits, self control, and perseverance, and that He will strengthen the body through the natural processes He designed. We pray for protection from harmful or extreme methods and for encouragement as progress comes step by step.

The apostle Paul wrote that he counted his former ways and achievements as loss for the excellency of knowing Christ, and that he learned to forget what was behind and press forward toward what God had ahead. Past experiences only have value when they are brought into a present living relationship with Jesus. Many people remain bound because they live continually in past wounds, rehearsing what was done to them and unable to rise above it. Others rest only in past good times and do not move forward. The Lord wants to heal not only the body but also the mind and the emotions, lifting the scars and wounds that remain. That healing comes as hurts are honestly brought to Jesus, forgiven where forgiveness is needed, and left in His hands while you pursue knowing Him more.

That healing comes as hurts are honestly brought to Jesus, forgiven where forgiveness is needed, and left in His hands while you pursue knowing Him more.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy and deliverance. We ask that You break every chain of sin and oppression and that You cover these lives with the blood of Jesus. Teach them to hear Your voice and to walk in obedience to Your Word, that they may know the blessing of walking with You. We ask for Your healing power upon this son, for wisdom and grace to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, and for strength to care for the body You have given him as Your temple. We ask also for deep inner healing from past hurts, that You would heal memories, emotions, and wounds, and help him to release the past and press forward in the new life You give through Christ. Fill him with hope, with peace, and with the knowledge of Your love. We trust You to work in Your way and Your time, and we give You thanks for Your faithfulness. Amen.
May the Lord continue to draw you both close to Himself and give you confidence in His care. Keep seeking Him in His Word and in prayer, and walk in the obedience and trust to which He calls His children.
