Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance and healing. Father God, we declare that in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, every curse spoken, generational, or self-inflicted against this mother and her son is broken right now by the power of the blood of Jesus. The Word of God is clear: "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We stand on this truth and command every chain of darkness to be shattered in Jesus' name!

We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, gluttony, or emotional bondage that may be contributing to this son's struggle with weight. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We pray for safe, God-ordained weight loss, not through worldly diets or quick fixes, but through the renewing of the mind and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. May this young man's body be a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and may he learn to honor God with his health.

Father, we also lift up the deep wounds of past hurts, whether from rejection, abuse, bullying, or loss. The pain of yesterday must not dictate the peace of today. We declare healing over every broken place in his heart. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Let Your love, Lord, be the balm that soothes his soul. Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and family who will speak life into him and remind him of his worth in Christ.

We also want to gently address a matter of eternal significance. Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If this mother and son have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray they would do so today. The first step to true deliverance and healing is accepting the gift of salvation through faith in Christ. Without this foundation, the enemy has legal ground to oppress. We pray they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the authority we have in the name of Jesus to break every curse and set the captives free. We declare this son and his mother covered by the blood of Jesus, protected from every scheme of the enemy. Lord, we ask for supernatural weight loss that glorifies You, strengthening his body, renewing his mind, and drawing him closer to You. Heal the wounds of his past, Father, and replace lies with Your truth. Let him know he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), loved beyond measure, and called for a purpose.

We also pray for wisdom for this mother as she supports her son. Give her words of life, patience, and discernment. May their home be filled with Your peace, joy, and presence. If there are any unrepentant sins, whether in their lives or their family line, that are giving the enemy a foothold, we ask for conviction and repentance. Cleanse them, Lord, and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We trust that as they draw near to You, You will draw near to them (James 4:8). May their lives be a testimony of Your power, love, and redemption. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We hear you, and it’s clear you’re carrying a mother’s heart for her son, wanting him free from anything that holds him back and whole in body and spirit. We’re standing with you in that.

In Christ, every curse is truly broken, and we join you in asking Him to bring that complete freedom to both of your lives. At the same time, we’re praying for your son’s physical and emotional healing. Walking through past hurts can feel heavy, and it’s natural to long for relief. Sometimes those wounds need a safe, patient space to heal, perhaps gently encouraging him to talk with a trusted pastor or a counselor who shares your faith. That’s not weakness; it’s wisdom.

As for the goal of safe weight loss, we care about his whole health. It can be wise to get a doctor’s guidance, just to make sure the approach is right for his body, especially if there are any underlying struggles. You might even offer to walk alongside him, literally or figuratively, with simple daily habits, reminding him he’s not alone in this.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother and her son to You. By Your authority, we pray against every curse or dark assignment that has hung over them, break its power and let it end here. Surround them with Your protection and peace. For this young man, we ask for deep healing from past hurts that still echo; bring Your gentle light where memories ache. Grant him the steadiness to care for his body in a way that feels safe and sustainable, and give him people who can support him well. Knit them together in hope, and let Your love be the ground beneath their feet. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The book of the law curses every soul that continues not in all things written therein; but Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. Whatever curse you fear may linger over you or your son, whether spoken in malice, inherited through generations of sin, or pronounced by your own accusing conscience, know that there is a deliverance! The clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour and moment of deliverance, for the time had come when Jesus bore the whole weight of the curse in His own body on the tree. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Do not look to your own prayers or works to break these bonds; look to the ransom found by God Himself. I have found a ransom, not you, not your tears, not your promises, but God in Christ has found it!

As for your son, the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and surely for the healing of your own household. You grieve over his bodily condition and the wounds of his spirit, and your heart echoes the cry of old Jacob: I said, my grey hairs shall be brought with sorrow to the grave, for Joseph my son is, without a doubt, rent in pieces. Yet Jacob lived to declare the works of the Lord, for the son he mourned was alive and exalted. Bring your son by faith to the Great Physician, for pardon and healing are one; when he said to the sick of the palsy, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee, the outward healing followed the inward remission. The past hurts that gnaw at his soul, those bitter memories and piercing arrows of youth, these too can be so swallowed up in forgiving grace that the inhabitant shall not say, I have been sick. The joy of pardon makes us ignore the sorrow of the past.

You ask for safe reduction of his flesh; remember that the rod of discipline is in your Father’s hand, but it is dealt in weight and measure, not in anger, but from his dear covenant love. He who gave Egypt and Ethiopia for his people, who spared not His own Son, will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Even this trial works for good. Do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Go now, and with your son, look unto the brazen serpent lifted up; there is life in a look, healing in trusting the Crucified One, and an end to every curse beneath the shadow of his wings.

The fear that a curse has power over you and your son is itself a bondage you must break, for the evil one delights in slaughter and would seduce you to blame outward things, even attributing to them a strength that belongs only to the will. Where is the curse that can stand against a life hid in Christ? The only curse you need fear is the turning of your own heart away from Him. Your son’s weight and his past wounds are not the result of some shadowy enemy’s pronouncement; they are the fields where his soul’s discipline must be worked out. When you cry out for deliverance, understand that the true deliverance is not from a spell, but from being a slave to lifeless things, from the softness that makes a man unmanly, and from the remissness that refuses the hard hearing of the Word.

Do you see the twofold mischief here? You look for a magical escape, but Christ offers you a far weightier gain, a wrestling where the loss itself becomes your profit. What sort of desire is it to seek an effortless cure for the body while the soul remains pampered and the will depraved? It is not the flesh that is to blame for your son’s condition, but the soul which chooses to pamper it. If he will take up the fortitude of continual recollection, if he will despise the comfort that enervates and the hurts that fester in a mind that dwells on them, he will find a healing that no earthly ease can give. To be thankful in suffering wrong, to bear the forced privation of former habits as if he had willingly cast them away, this is to become like those who give alms in secret. Tell him these words, and let him not seek the praise of men or the quick vanishing of sorrow, but the impregnable treasure laid up in heaven.

The poison of ungodliness increases when you believe judgment is already past and that you must secure your own peace here and now. But this is to love bondage under the guise of desire. The past hurts that chain your son’s heart, the weight that burdens his body, these are not cast out by a word you can utter like a diviner’s charm. They are driven away by the surgery of the Spirit, not by gathering fresh wounds of self-pity or blaming an imagined curse. Let him give heed to the Teacher, not the multitude. He must labor as in a wrestling school, where the loss of false comforts is no loss at all, but the casting off of a treasure that darkens the mind. Pray rather that neither of you will wander forth as captives from the Jerusalem above, but will take hold of the gain that comes from deliverance from all worldly things, for no one part, neither a slim body nor a memory wiped clean of pain, is sufficient for salvation.
