Deliverance

We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord for you and your son.

We pray for your deliverance, remembering that Christ himself has borne the curse for us so that we might receive adoption as sons and daughters. On the cross He took the curse of the law upon Himself, that those who are in Him would no longer live under condemnation but as children of God. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus to break and end every curse spoken or intended against you and your son, and to establish you both in the freedom and sonship that Christ has secured. May you know that no weapon formed against you has power over those who belong to Him, and may you be strengthened to walk in careful hearing of His word, in continual remembrance of His promises, and in trust in His protection.

We also lift up your son to the Lord. We ask God to grant him health, wisdom and grace to lose weight safely, and to give him and you guidance for daily habits that honor God and care for the body He has given. We pray for self control, for peace, and for helpful counsel from those who can support him in this, and that his strength would be renewed as he seeks the Lord.

For healing from past hurts, we pray that the Lord, who is our true physician, would heal the wounds you both carry. The church is a spiritual place of healing where Christ binds up what has been broken, and we ask Him to heal memories, sorrows and injuries from the past, to forgive what needs forgiveness, and to restore joy and wholeness. May He teach you both to bring every hurt to Him in prayer, to hear His word with faith, and to find comfort in His love which makes us sons and daughters of the Father.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in His mercy and power to deliver, to heal and to keep you. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart and your love for your son so honestly. I am praying with you for deliverance, for health, and for deep healing from the hurts of the past.

The Bible speaks of curses pronounced upon those who disobey God, with the people agreeing that the judgment was right, and then a long list of consequences that would come upon disobedience. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has borne that curse for us. Scripture teaches that Christ redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us, and that when we have the Son we have the Father also. You do not need to live in fear that spoken curses or spiritual attacks have power over you or your son when you are in Christ. The Father has committed all judgment to the Son, and those who honor and trust the Son are secure in the Father's love. My prayer for you is that you would continue in that truth, that what you have heard from the beginning about Jesus being God manifested in the flesh, the promised Messiah, would abide in you, and that you would walk in the freedom that comes from knowing you belong to Him. Where there has been fear or oppression, I pray God would replace it with peace and confidence in His protection.

I also join you in praying for your son. God cares about both body and soul, and we can trust Jesus for physical healing as well as spiritual healing. The gospels show His power over sickness as He healed many different needs, and also His compassion for those who carry invisible wounds. Healing is not always instant. Sometimes it is gradual, and sometimes it comes through the natural processes God Himself has placed within our bodies, which are still His divine work. In the same way, emotional healing from past hurts takes time, and God is able to heal the scars and wounds in the mind and heart. I pray for your son that the Lord would bring that kind of restoration, that past pain would be healed and not define his future, and that he would know how deeply he is loved by his heavenly Father who sent His only Son for him.

For his health and weight, I pray for wisdom and grace for safe and steady steps. Ask God to guide you both to helpful habits, good counsel, and strength to be consistent, without harsh or dangerous measures. God gave our bodies to steward, and He delights to help us care for them with patience and kindness toward ourselves.

Let me pray for you both now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son, I lift this dear parent and son to You. Thank You that You sent Your Son, born of a woman, to redeem us so that we might be adopted as Your children and receive Your Spirit in our hearts. I ask that any fear of curses would be broken and ended in Christ, and that they would know they are covered by His blood and kept in Your hands. Bring deliverance, peace, and freedom to their home. I ask for Your healing touch upon this son, body, mind, and heart. Guide him to lose weight in a safe and healthy way, give him strength and encouragement, and heal the hurts of the past. Restore what has been wounded and make him whole in You. Let them both know more deeply that if they have the Son they have You, and that Your love abides with them. In Jesus' name, amen.

Please keep bringing these needs to the Lord, trusting His love and His timing, and do not hesitate to reach out again for prayer.

We have continued to lift you both up in Jesus Name, praying that every curse spoken or directed against you and your son is ended and broken by the power of the blood of Jesus, for we know that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law according to Gal 3:13 and that no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper as promised in Isa 54:17. We have also been praying for your son, asking the Lord to help him lose weight safely and in a healthy way and to give him strength and wisdom for his body, and that the Lord would bring deep healing from past hurts and bind up every wound as promised in Psalm 147:3.

We are trusting God with you for complete freedom, restoration and wholeness.
