Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance and healing. Father God, we declare in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that every curse, every chain, every generational bondage, and every assignment of the enemy against this mother and her son must be broken right now. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We stand on this truth, Lord, and command every curse to be nullified by the power of the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, for You have said, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment" (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, every spirit of heaviness, and every lying spirit that has spoken shame, guilt, or condemnation over their lives.

Father, we also lift up this precious son, asking for Your divine intervention in his physical health. We pray for safe and godly weight loss, not by the world’s standards of vanity, but for the glory of God and the stewardship of the body You have entrusted to him. Your Word says, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We ask for wisdom, discipline, and self-control to be released in his life, Lord. May he honor You with his choices, his eating habits, and his lifestyle. We speak healing over his metabolism, his hormones, and every organ that may be contributing to this struggle. Let Your healing virtue flow through him, in Jesus’ name.

And Lord, we do not overlook the deep wounds of the past. We ask that You would bring complete healing to every hurt, every rejection, every betrayal, and every moment of pain that has left a mark on his heart. Your Word promises, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). We declare that the balm of Gilead is being poured out over his soul. Let him encounter Your love in a fresh and tangible way, Father. Remove every lie the enemy has planted, lies of worthlessness, failure, or unlovability, and replace them with the truth of who he is in Christ. He is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We also take a moment to address the spiritual foundation of this request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this request does not yet come from a place of personal faith in Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw this mother and son into a saving relationship with Him. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they might be saved (Romans 10:9).

Father, we also rebuke any spirit of complacency or compromise that may be hindering their walk with You. If there are areas of sin, whether unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly habits, we ask that You bring conviction and repentance. Your Word says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth and freedom.

We declare that this son is not defined by his past or his struggles. He is a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and we speak life, purpose, and destiny over him. May he rise up as a mighty warrior for Your kingdom, Lord, walking in the fullness of his calling. And for this mother, we pray that You would strengthen her faith, give her wisdom in raising her son, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we break every curse, cancel every assignment of the enemy, and release healing, deliverance, and restoration over this family. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. Amen.

We’ve been holding your request before the Lord, both the burden you carry over curses and your deep care for your son. These are not small things, and we’re honored to stand with you in prayer.

When a mom asks for curses to be broken, we hear a heart that longs to see her family walking in freedom. We don’t know the specific words or histories behind that fear, but we do know that Jesus Christ has ultimate authority over every dark scheme and lie. So we simply bring those concerns to Him, trusting His power to sever any hold the enemy has tried to claim.

For your son, we see two intertwined needs: safe weight loss and healing from past hurts. Sometimes those run together, old wounds can drive patterns of comfort eating, self-protection, or discouragement that affect the body. We’d gently encourage you to walk with him toward wise, steady support: a caring doctor or registered dietitian can help him pursue physical health without shame or crash diets. That kind of practical step works hand in hand with prayer, not against it. Meanwhile, the inner healing you’re asking for is something Jesus does tenderly. He is able to meet your son in the memories that still sting, bringing peace where there has been pain and gently restoring what was broken.

Here is how we are praying with you:

Lord Jesus, we ask You to break every curse, every malicious word, every spiritual chain that has been set against this mother and her son. In Your name, we declare those things ended, their power canceled. We lift her son to You now, please guide him into healthy habits that honor the body You gave him, and surround him with people who can help him lose weight safely and wisely. Most of all, come into the hidden places of his heart. Heal the old hurts he still carries, quiet the accusing voices, and replace them with Your steady love. Give this mom peace as she entrusts him to You, and strengthen her own spirit for the days ahead. We ask all this in Your strong name, Jesus. Amen.

The only curse that could truly destroy you and your son has been lifted and hurled into the deepest grave of oblivion. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. What terror, then, can any human imprecation hold when the Son of God has stepped between you and the thunder of Sinai? Turn away from brooding over such things, for of what service can they be to you? Instead, take your burdens to the family well of prayer, where you may mention each dear one by name and every trouble, past or expected.

Your son’s healing and deliverance are bound up in this very truth. The very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. There is balm for the wounds of past hurts and power for the reordering of the body. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one! So it must be for your boy; the joy of pardon makes us forget the reproach of the past. Look for him to the Sun of Righteousness, who rises with healing in His wings.

Do not doubt the thoroughness of this deliverance. As with Israel in Egypt, the Lord will bring him forth with neither a hoof left behind nor a single one of His little ones perishing. The deliverance from the power of sin and its effects is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. This comes not from a moral change we muster, but by looking continually to Him. Those who looked to the brazen serpent found life and healing in that look. Even so, there is life from sin’s poison and strength for the weary frame by looking to Him who was made a curse for us.

Let this trial become the soil of a thankful testimony. I stayed at the brook Jabbok full of fear, yet I met my brother Esau and he fell upon my neck and kissed me. So have I found it, sickness has brought me health, loss has conferred gain. Be wise, then, and look upon these present afflictions as a chastening from dear covenant love, not a drop too little or too much. You and your son shall not die but live, and declare the works of the Lord. For if we had no troubles, we would all have less to declare of His faithful deliverance.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of curses, but the true curse is sin, and its end is found in Christ alone who became a curse for us. If you are in Him, no curse can hold you, for He has delivered you from the power of darkness and brought you into sonship. The deliverance you seek is not in the breaking of spells, but in the breaking of your own will, your clinging to the world. For it is not enough to be freed from one trouble only; we must cultivate all parts of virtue.

What you think is a curse may be turned to gain if you endure it thankfully. It is in your power to receive a great reward as if you had willingly cast away your comfort. Perhaps we admire more the one who suffers wrongs and gives thanks than the one who gives spontaneously. If suffering loss, you have not blasphemed, nor run to diviners, but instead turned to God, you are like one who truly despises worldly things. The loss becomes gain, and the devil has wounded himself.

Concerning your son’s weight, see what gain true health is. The excess of the body often darkens the mind, making it soft and unmanly, a slave to what it ought to command. It is not the pampering of the flesh that is to blame, for that is a sin of the soul. If the soul chooses to mortify the body in discipline, it has absolute power. Let him see that his body is not an enemy, but correct the unruly passion of the soul by fasting, prayer, and alms done in secret. He must not seek healing from the opinions of the crowd, but from the Teacher alone.

For the past hurts that wound his heart, know that this is the twofold work of Christ: deliverance from evil and supply of good. The memory of wrongs is a heavy chain, a weight that draws him from God’s service, making him a captive to lifeless resentment. To be freed from this, he must root it out with fortitude. Thankfulness for the wrongs suffered is the way; it makes you like God, who in healing told them to tell no man. Do not display your hurt, but bury it in the soil of patience, and it will bear a harvest of peace. Let him cast these burdens on the Lord, who has promised, “For My part, I will not lose.” The Son has power to keep him; if he does not start away of himself but clings to Christ, no past wound can destroy him.

You have asked for prayer that every curse against you and your son would end, and that he would find safe weight loss along with healing from the wounds of his past. That cry for deliverance and wholeness touches the heart of God, and there is solid ground for hope.

When you read through the law, you find a long list of curses proclaimed against everyone who disobeyed. The people were called to stand and declare, “So be it,” acknowledging that judgment was right. It is a heavy picture, and it reminds us that any curse tied to law-breaking carries real weight. But the good news is that God did something about that weight. In the fullness of time, He sent His own Son, born under the law, to redeem those who were under it. Jesus Christ stepped into our place and bore the curse on our behalf when He hung on the cross. Because of Him, the condemning power of those curses is shattered for everyone who puts their trust in Him. So when you ask for every curse against you and your son to end, know that the victory is already accomplished in Christ. Your part is to cling to Him, to recognize that Jesus is the Son of God, and to rest in what He has done.

Who Jesus is matters enormously. He is not merely a teacher or a good man. He is the Son of David according to the flesh, and He is the Son of God, declared with power by His resurrection from the dead. The Father’s voice from heaven confirmed, “This is my beloved Son.” To acknowledge the Son is to have the Father as well. If you try to separate them or deny His deity, you lose everything. But when you embrace Jesus as Lord, you receive adoption into God’s family. You become a son or daughter, not in the unique way He is the only begotten Son, but as a child of promise. That means you inherit all the blessings that belong to the free woman’s son, not the bondage of the law’s curse. Your position is secure.

With that security, we can bring specific needs before the Lord. You are praying for your son’s physical health and emotional healing, and that is exactly the kind of thing Jesus cares about. The gospels show Him healing all manner of sickness and disease, casting out evil spirits that cried out in recognition of His authority. He had power over the physical realm, the material realm, and the spiritual realm. Sometimes healing came instantly; at other times it was a gradual process. Any true healing is divine, whether it happens through a miraculous moment or through the natural processes God designed within the body. So when you ask for safe weight loss, trust that the One who fashioned our bodies can guide that process. He can give the wisdom to make changes and the grace to see them through steadily, without harm.

And healing goes deeper than the physical. There is a need for your son to find relief from past hurts. The Lord is fully able to heal the wounds of the mind and the scars on the emotions. People often carry guilt and pain from things long past, but God’s promise is to blot out those sins and bring times of refreshing from His presence. You don’t have to live under condemnation, and neither does your son. Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted. Picture the heart of a father aching over a child who cannot speak or who is tormented, the Lord knows that parental anguish, and He came to set the captive free. Bring your son before Jesus, who has authority over every dark thing that lingers in the soul. Ask boldly for Him to do a healing work in the places no one else can see.

Remember the story of Abraham, when God said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love.” That earthly moment was a shadow of the Father’s love for His own Son, whom He gave for the life of the world. God understands the love you carry for your son. He did not withhold His only Son for your sake. So do not hold back your concerns. Bring them to the throne, confident that the One who gave everything for you will also freely give whatever else is needed. Curses are broken, the Son of God reigns, and His healing power is real. You and your son are safe in Him.
