We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and her son before You, Father God. We stand in the authority of the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and receive deliverance, healing, and freedom. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against ### or her son shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every curse, generational or otherwise, that has been spoken or enacted against them in Jesus’ mighty name. The blood of Jesus has redeemed them from the curse of the law, for it is written, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’” (Galatians 3:13). We command every evil assignment, spirit of infirmity, or bondage to leave them now in the name of Jesus.
Father, we pray for ###’s son, that You would grant him safe and lasting weight loss. We ask that You renew his mind and body, helping him to honor You with his health. Your Word tells us, “Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray for discipline, wisdom, and self-control to rise up within him, guided by the Holy Spirit. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this journey, and let his progress be a testimony of Your grace and power.
We also lift up the deep hurts and wounds of the past that may still linger in his heart. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You heal every emotional scar, every memory of pain, and every place where bitterness or unforgiveness may have taken root. Pour out Your love and peace upon him, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that his worth is found in You alone. Let him experience the freedom that comes from forgiving those who have hurt him, just as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of heaviness, depression, or despair that may be weighing on ### or her son. We declare that the joy of the Lord is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and we ask that You fill them with hope, purpose, and a renewed sense of identity in Christ. Let them walk in the fullness of the freedom that Jesus died to give them, knowing that “if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and moving on their behalf. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Amen.
