No curse spoken against you or your son can stand, because the blessing of God is greater than any word of man. Remember how the king of Moab hired Balaam to curse Israel, but God declared, "You shall not curse the people, for they are blessed." A hired curse has no power over those whom the Lord has chosen. And if others have spoken malicious words over your family, know that those words cannot override what Christ has already done. He became a curse for us when He hung on the tree, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree, so that we might be redeemed from every curse of the law and every dark word spoken against us. The crown of thorns He wore was the very sign of the curse He lifted off our heads. So I pray with confidence that any curse is ended now, not because of a ritual, but because Jesus has already broken its power.
For your son, carry this same truth into his body and his heart. The healing Christ purchased is not just spiritual, it reaches into every part of our lives. When the woman in the crowd touched the hem of His garment, she was healed in an instant, because she reached out in faith and made contact with the One who bore our sicknesses. There is a quiet, steady faith that knows God can do it, and then there is the moment when we release that faith and receive what He offers. Pray for your son to have that kind of living touch with Jesus, to press through the crowd of past hurts and present struggles, and find healing for the wounds he carries. Jesus bore God's curse against sin, and in doing so, He opened the door for the blessing of Abraham to come upon us through faith.
Physical health, including safe weight loss, is part of that blessing, not something we earn by perfect living, but a gift we receive by trusting the One who restores. I ask the Lord to give your son wisdom about his body, to strengthen his will, and to bring gradual, lasting change.
