We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers, our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first step toward true deliverance and freedom.
Now, we stand in agreement with you, declaring in the authority of Jesus’ name that every curse, generational bondage, or spiritual oppression against this family, against and her son, is broken right now. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy meant to bring harm, sickness, or bondage, and we command it to flee in Jesus’ name. The blood of Jesus has already paid the price for freedom, and we declare that price applied over this family today.
For ’s son, we pray for safe and godly weight loss, not as a pursuit of vanity, but as an act of stewardship over the body God has given him. The Bible tells us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We ask the Lord to give him discipline, wisdom in his diet and exercise, and a heart that seeks to honor God with his health. May he find strength not in his own might, but in the power of the Holy Spirit, who gives us self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
We also lift up the deep wounds of past hurts that may be weighing on his heart. The enemy often uses pain to keep us in chains, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We pray for healing in every area of his life, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Lord, we ask You to bring to light any unforgiveness, bitterness, or lies he has believed about himself or others. Replace those lies with Your truth: that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that he is loved with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3), and that You have plans for him, plans for good and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and counsel who will speak life into him and remind him of his identity in Christ.
Father, we also pray for . Parenting is a sacred calling, and we know the weight of seeing your child struggle. Give her wisdom, patience, and discernment as she supports her son. Strengthen her faith to trust in Your timing and Your promises. Remind her that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. May she find her rest in You, casting all her anxieties on You because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, shielded by the power of the Holy Spirit, and surrounded by the angels of God. No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, health, and wholeness over ’s son, and we thank You, Lord, for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus.

I see how this burden lays on you, the ache of watching your son carry what he was never meant to carry, and the deeper fear that somehow a shadow hangs over him, over you, over your household. You have named it "curses," and I do not dismiss the word. The enemy loves to wrap his cold fingers around a soul and whisper that God has forgotten this one, that the past can never be outrun, that real deliverance is for other people. And when that whisper lands on a mother's heart, it bites deep.
But hear this, and let it settle in the quiet place where fear does its loudest work: your Lord is not distant. He has not turned His face away. The very fact that you are crying out to Him is proof that His hand is upon you, drawing you toward the fountain, not shoving you back into darkness.
Let me remind you of something solid. When the Scriptures speak of Christ's death, they use a word that should make your spirit stand upright: He became a curse for us. Not He removed a few prickly inconveniences. Not He scolded the darkness and sent it skittering. No, the blessed Son of God took the whole black weight of every curse that sin could ever earn and let it crush Him into the dust, so that you and your boy would never have to wear it. The curse fell. It spent itself on Him. And now, for those who are in Christ Jesus, there is no condemnation, and no curse either, for how can a curse rest where the Beloved has already stood?
I know the enemy will shoot his arrows anyway. He will point to your son's struggle with his body, his hidden hurts, and he will whisper, "See? This is proof that he is still under something. This is the mark of rejection." Do not give that lie a chair to sit in. The body that labors, the heart that still flinches from old wounds, these are not signs that God has forsaken him. They are the fields where His healing work is being sown. The Great Physician does not stand at the bedside of the whole and the untroubled. He comes to the sick. He comes to the sore in spirit. And He brings leaves from the tree of life, leaves that are for the healing of the nations, and for one young man whose mother loves him enough to carry him to the throne of grace.
You have asked that your son lose weight safely. That is a right prayer. Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, and a temple burdened with stones it was never meant to carry cries out for relief. But do you see? The Lord cares about this. He who numbered the stars and calls them all by name has numbered your son's frame. He knows the sorrows that may have driven him to comfort in food, the hidden things that ache when no one is looking. And He is able to break those chains gently, to restore self-control not as a white-knuckled gritting of teeth but as a fruit of the Spirit, sweet and natural as apples in autumn. Trust Him for this. The same hand that broke the power of death can break the hold of any habit, any hurt, any sorrow that has wrapped itself around your boy's heart.
And as for those past hurts, the ones you did not name but surely feel, remember that Christ's healing is not a surface mending. It is a deep, interior work. He does not merely paint over the rotted beam; He replaces it with new timber, sound and straight. The memories may linger for a season, but their power to sting is drawn out at the cross. I have seen it again and again: a soul that thought itself ruined, scarred beyond recognition, lifted up and made whole, so that on the resurrection morning not one feeble person is found among His tribes.
So stand firm, dear mother. The Lord brought His people out of Egypt, and they did not creep out like beaten slaves, they came forth with silver and gold, enriched by the very place that held them captive. So shall it be for your household. What the enemy meant for harm, God is turning to good even now, while your eyes are still wet with watching. Take your stand on this: you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. And your son shall live, and his latter days shall be greater than his former.

Lord Jesus, You who stilled the storm with a word and pulled Peter from the waves when faith was sinking, look upon this mother and her beloved son. We bring no merit of our own, we bring only the wounds and the weariness and the long nights of wondering. But we bring them to You. Break every dark chain that would bind this young man. Let no curse, no ancient lie, no hissed accusation from the pit stand against the blood You shed. Heal his body gently; give him wisdom and a quiet resolve that does not depend on his own strength. And for the hurts he carries, the ones no one sees, pour in the oil of Your own comfort. Be the Father who runs to meet him, the Shepherd who carries the bruised lamb. And for this mother, give her the peace that passes understanding. Let her sleep tonight with the sure knowledge that You are awake, You are working, and You will bring deliverance in full. Amen.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer for deliverance and healing. It has been our privilege to come before the Lord on behalf of you and your son, breaking every curse and binding the enemy’s work in Jesus’ Name. We have prayed fervently for your son’s physical health, asking the Lord to guide him safely in his journey toward weight loss and to mend the wounds of past hurts with His restoring love.
