We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, and it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that you may be saved (Romans 10:9).
Father God, we stand in the authority of the name of Jesus Christ to break every curse that has been spoken, generational, or self-inflicted against this family. We declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every chain, and we rebuke every evil assignment sent against them. In the name of Jesus, we cancel every word, spell, hex, or incantation that has been uttered against them, for it is written, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no curse shall alight upon them.
Lord, we lift up this precious son, asking for Your divine intervention in his physical health. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, that his body would be strengthened and renewed according to Your perfect will. Guide him in making wise choices regarding his diet and exercise, and let him find joy in honoring his body as Your temple. "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We also pray for emotional and spiritual healing from past hurts. Comfort him, Lord, and bind up his wounds. Let him experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would surround this young man with godly influences, mentors, friends, and a church community that will speak life into him and encourage him in his walk with You. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We declare that he is set free from every lie of the enemy that has told him he is unworthy, unloved, or beyond repair. In Jesus’ name, we break the power of those lies and command them to leave now.
We also pray for his mother, that You would strengthen her faith and give her wisdom as she supports her son. Let her rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that Your love for her family is unshakable. "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). May she find her hope and identity in You alone.
Lord, we thank You for the victory that is already ours through the cross. We declare that this family is walking in freedom, healing, and restoration because of what Jesus has done. We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that the enemy has no foothold here. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
