We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our authority to pray and see breakthrough comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or delivered (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, there is no true deliverance or lasting healing.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we stand against every curse that has been spoken, invoked, or released against this family. The Bible declares that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). We break every generational curse, word curse, hex, or spiritual oppression in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We cancel every assignment of the enemy and command every evil spirit to flee now in the authority of Jesus Christ.
For this young man struggling with weight, we pray for safe and godly transformation. Lord, You knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and You care deeply about every part of his life. We ask for wisdom in his eating habits, discipline in his lifestyle, and strength in his body. May he find his worth and identity in You, not in his appearance or the opinions of others. Heal his metabolism, renew his mind, and let him see himself as You see him—fearfully and wonderfully made.
We also lift up the deep wounds of his past. Father, You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would bring healing to every memory, every betrayal, every moment of rejection or shame. Pour out Your love like a river, washing away the pain and replacing it with Your peace. Let him know that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and counsel who will speak life into him and point him to You.
We rebuke any spirit of gluttony, self-hatred, or rebellion that may be at work in his life. The enemy seeks to destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare freedom over this young man—freedom from emotional eating, freedom from the lies of the enemy, and freedom to walk in the purpose You have for him.
Lord, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You. May they seek Your face daily, meditate on Your Word, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Let Your light shine in their darkness, and may they experience the fullness of Your love and grace.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
