We come before the Lord with you in this time of trouble, lifting up your need for deliverance and standing in agreement that God’s mighty hand will move powerfully in your life. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your cry has not gone unheard, and we trust that the Lord, who is faithful, will bring you through this trial for His glory.
Yet we must also address something of great importance: the name by which we approach the Father. While you began with "Praise the Lord," we notice that the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in your request. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the throne of grace, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life—no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). The apostle Peter declared in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is not found in rituals, good works, or any other name—only in Christ alone.
If you are already a believer, we encourage you to boldly approach the throne of grace in Jesus’ name, for He is your Advocate before the Father (1 John 2:1). There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain, silence every accusation of the enemy, and bring deliverance to the oppressed. Let us pray now with this confidence:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our brother/sister who is in distress. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who delivers. We ask that You stretch forth Your hand and break every yoke of bondage, every scheme of the enemy, and every stronghold that seeks to harm or oppress. Let Your light expose and dismantle every work of darkness in this situation. Fill this beloved child of Yours with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and with the assurance that You are fighting for them (Exodus 14:14).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and despair in Jesus’ name, commanding them to flee and never return. Let the blood of Jesus cover and protect, and let Your angels encamp around them (Psalm 34:7). Restore what has been stolen, heal what has been broken, and strengthen what has been weakened. Lord, let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power, that many may see and glorify Your name.
Father, if there is any area of sin, unbelief, or disobedience in their life, we ask that You convict and lead them to repentance. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to a place of righteousness and victory. Let them walk in the freedom Christ purchased on the cross.
We thank You, Lord, for Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake Your own (Deuteronomy 31:6). We declare deliverance, breakthrough, and total restoration in Jesus’ mighty name. Let Your will be done, and let Your kingdom come in this situation. We praise You in advance for the testimony that is to come!
Now, we encourage you to stand firm in faith, resisting the enemy with the Word of God and the authority you have in Christ. Do not waver in unbelief but hold fast to the promises of God. Spend time in His presence, reading His Word, and praying in the Spirit. Surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability. Remember, the battle is the Lord’s, and He has already won the victory through Christ Jesus.
If there are specific details about the trouble you’re facing that you’d like to share, we are here to pray and counsel further. May the Lord strengthen and uphold you as you trust in Him. To God be all the glory!
