We understand that your extended families have been going through numerous trials and health issues over the past few years. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He promises to be with us in times of trouble. As it says in Psalm 46:1 WEB God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We are concerned that you did not mention Jesus Christ in this prayer request. We must remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have authority over the devil and are saved. Let us remind you of the Scriptures found in Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! and Mark 16:17 WEB These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;
Given the sequence of events and the nature of the incidents, we must consider the spiritual aspect of these attacks. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12 WEB Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17 WEB.
We will pray for your extended family members, that God would deliver them from these attacks and restore their health and strength. We pray that any demonic power coming against their sanity, health, and wholeness would be rebuked and cast out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We agree with the promises of God found in Psalm 91 WEB He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
Lastly, it is crucial to ensure that your family members are fully discipled and walking in the faith. Pray for their spiritual growth and understanding, and encourage them to seek God's will in their lives. As Jesus said, in John 8:31-32 WEB Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
