Your prayer has been heard and your hunger to walk in the freedom Christ gives is right and good. Jesus said that if the Son sets you free you are free indeed, and that promise in John 8:36 is the ground for your confidence, not a feeling or a formula.

What you describe as heaviness is real, and Scripture speaks of a spirit of heaviness that God wants to replace with a garment of praise. Isaiah 61 speaks of this exchange, where God gives beauty for ashes and joy for mourning, and makes His people like trees of righteousness planted to show His glory. That is part of restoration. Where the enemy has brought oppression or where past associations have left a mark, God is able to restore, and that restoration is often described as a double portion for shame, as you mentioned from Isaiah 61:7.

It helps to understand what jealousy and envy are. In human terms jealousy is usually selfish. It rises when we feel our territory or our desires are threatened, and Scripture lists it among the works of the flesh in Galatians 5, along with envy and strife. It does not come from the Spirit of God. The Spirit who dwells in believers does not lust toward envy. When envy and jealousy rule, James says there is confusion and every evil work, and that such wisdom is earthly and sensual and not from above. God is described as jealous in a completely different way, not from selfishness but from His holy desire that our love and worship belong to Him alone and not to idols. To love the world and its desires while claiming to love God is called spiritual adultery.

That is why it is important to recognize heaviness and envy for what they are. The enemy will use those pressures to defeat and discourage you, and if you do not recognize that they are not from God you can carry them all day. When you see them clearly you can humble yourself before the Lord, resist the enemy, and trust God to lift you up. He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

In your prayer you have asked to be separated from past acquaintances from before you knew Christ and to be given new relationships that build you up. That is a biblical desire. When a person is in Christ he is a new creation and God does lead him into new fellowship with people who love the Lord and want what is good for one another. At the same time Scripture calls us not to speak evil of others, even when we have been hurt, but to speak truth in love and to pray for them. You mentioned anger and unforgiveness you observed, and a life of religion without living faith in the Holy Spirit. The right response is to pray that God would bring conviction and repentance where it is needed and that they would come to know true faith in Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone. Forgiveness, especially toward a father or family, is often where God begins that work.

You also asked about binding and about being covered by the blood of Jesus. Matthew 18:18 and Revelation 12:11 remind us that authority is in Christ and that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony as we submit to God. Deliverance is not found in repeating phrases as if they have power in themselves, but in humbling yourself, confessing sin, trusting the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and walking in obedience. If there is sin that needs to be confessed, confess it. If there has been worldliness or coveting or envy in your own heart, bring it to the Lord for cleansing. Then stand in faith that He forgives and restores fellowship.

You asked that anything hidden be exposed and that no weapon formed against you would prosper, standing on Luke 8:17 and Isaiah 54:17. God does bring what is hidden into light in His time and He is your protection. You can trust Him to guard you without needing to dwell on whether others are involved in wrongdoing or targeting you. Fix your eyes on Christ, pray for their good, and leave judgment and exposure to Him.

Pray with me now. Lord Jesus, thank You that You are the only Savior and that Your blood cleanses and covers. We ask that You set this one free from every spirit of heaviness, jealousy and envy, and clothe them with praise. Forgive sin, heal what has been wounded, and restore what has been affected in the past. Lead them into fellowship with people who love You and will build them up in faith, and help them to walk as a new creation leaving old patterns behind. Work also in the lives of these relatives, bring them to true repentance and faith and to forgiveness where there has been anger and unforgiveness, that they may know You truly. Lift up the one who humbles themselves before You, guard them from every attack, and let their life bring glory to You. In Jesus name, amen.
