Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you rebuke all the ways in which my mom is being used by Satan, standing on Zechariah 3:2. I bind off of me any transfer of spirits coming to me from my mom, standing on Matthew 18:18. Lord Jesus remove off of us all
of my moms offense and insults, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Acts 5:29We must obey God rather than human beings") overrides blind obedience to abusive parents, establishing that God's law and personal safety take precedence over harmful parental demands.

Key Scriptures on Limits to Parental Authority
    • Acts 5:29: Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than human beings!" When a parent commands you to sin, harm yourself, or accept abuse, God's higher law of protection and righteousness takes over.
    • Ephesians 6:4: "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord". God places boundaries on parents, meaning abuse breaks the biblical design of the family relationship.
    • Ephesians 5:11: "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them". You are not required to participate in, cover up, or submit to the darkness of abuse.
    • Romans 12:18: "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Scripture acknowledges that peace is sometimes not possible when the other person is destructive, allowing for safe physical or emotional distance.
Lord Jesus may the phrase in your word to honor my mother not be taken advantage of in this situation where it is a parent that is doing the will of Satan, asking that you set me free of her abuse, standing on John 8:36.
What "Honor" Does Not Mean
    • No blind obedience: While passages like Colossians 3:20 say to obey parents, Scripture as a whole shows that obedience to God always comes first. When a parent demands you participate in sin, abuse, or illegal acts, obedience is not required.

I cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join you in praise and thanksgiving to our Lord Jesus and we glorify His holy name with you, and we stand with you in this prayer for deliverance and protection.

We hear the pain and weight of what you are carrying regarding your mother, and we agree that the enemy seeks to use strife, offense, and insults to wound and divide families. Scripture makes clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we do not wrestle against your mother herself, but against the spiritual influences and patterns of darkness that have oppressed this relationship, and we pray for her soul as well as for your freedom and healing.

We affirm what you have discerned from the Word about the limits of parental authority and the true meaning of honor. To honor your father and your mother, Exodus 20:12, is a holy command, but honor never requires you to submit to sin, abuse, or destruction. As you rightly stood on Acts 5:29, we must obey God rather than men, and when a parent demands what is harmful, sinful, or abusive, obedience to God and His law of love and protection takes precedence. Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, Ephesians 6:4, shows that God Himself places boundaries on parents, and abuse breaks the biblical design for family. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them, Ephesians 5:11, reminds us we are not called to participate in or cover up darkness. And If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, Romans 12:18, acknowledges that peace is not always possible when the other person continues in destructive ways, and it allows for godly boundaries and safe distance.

We also agree with your use of Scripture in spiritual warfare, while gently reminding that our authority is in Christ alone and exercised through submission to Him. Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Satan, Zechariah 3:2, shows that the Lord Himself is our rebuker and defender. Whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven, Matthew 18:18, speaks to the authority given to believers when we align with heaven in prayer. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We pray that every insult, offense, and lie that has been spoken over you would be cast down and brought into obedience to Christ, and that your mind would be guarded in His peace.

We rejoice that you have covered this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, for they overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony, Revelation 12:11. And we cling with you to the promise If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed, John 8:36. True freedom is found in Him, and we ask Him to set you free indeed from any spiritual oppression, heaviness, or transference that is not of Him, and to heal the wounds left by harsh words. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18.

We encourage you to continue to submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you, James 4:7, by staying rooted in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with mature believers who can support you and help you maintain safe and godly boundaries. Honor can be shown through praying for your mother, desiring her repentance and salvation, and speaking truth in love, while not remaining under abuse or control that violates God’s will. Be sober and self-controlled, be watchful, your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, 1 Peter 5:8, so we encourage you to remain watchful, discerning, and protected.

We now pray together with you:

Lord Jesus, we praise You and thank You and we glorify Your name. We ask that You rebuke every work of Satan operating in this family situation, and we ask You to break every chain of offense, insult, manipulation, and spiritual oppression coming against Your child. We ask You to wash away and remove all hurtful words and their effects, and to cleanse and guard heart and mind by Your blood. We bind in Your name every spirit and influence that is not of You and we release Your peace, Your truth, and Your freedom over this life. We pray for this dear mother as well, that You would convict, deliver, and draw her to Yourself, that she would be transformed by Your mercy and walk in Your ways. Surround Your child with Your protection, fill this home and heart with Your Holy Spirit, and set them free indeed to walk in wholeness and in obedience to You rather than to abusive demands. Cover this prayer with Your precious blood, Lord Jesus, and let Your will be done. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and access to the Father, Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about the hurt you have carried with your mom, the insults and the weight you feel. Wanting to be free and to live in peace is a good and understandable desire, and we hear how much you want Jesus to cover and protect you.

It can help to have one safe person who knows what is happening and can walk with you. If you can, consider reaching out soon to a trusted pastor, counselor, or safe family member or friend, and let them know what you are experiencing. A counselor or advocate can also help you think through boundaries and a safety plan for times when things feel tense at home. We will keep praying alongside any practical support you seek, not instead of it.

Father, in Jesus name we bring them to You. Cover them with Your presence, bring calm where there has been hurt, and give wisdom for each next step. Surround them with safe, caring people and guide them toward help and healing. Lead them in Your will and keep them in Your care. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard, and the sorrow and burden you carry before the Lord is not hidden from Him. To be wounded in the house where you should have found shelter is a deep affliction, and it is right that you should bring it honestly to the throne of grace, seeking deliverance from Him who alone can bring forth His people with a mighty hand.

You have asked rightly to honor God above all. Scripture teaches us to honor father and mother, for He is our Father and asks, where is My honor, and earthly parents are to be honored in the Lord. Yet that honor is never to be set against honor to God Himself. Those who honor Him, He will honor, and the first duty of every child of God is to honor the heavenly Father by obeying Him, by seeking holiness, and by refusing to have fellowship with the works of darkness. When a parent commands what God forbids, or demands endurance of what God calls evil, the word is clear, we must obey God rather than men. Fathers are charged not to provoke their children to wrath, but to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and where that order is broken by abuse, insult and oppression, you are not bound to submit to sin or to destruction. To honor your mother does not mean blind obedience, nor does it mean to cover up darkness or to remain without protection where you are being harmed. As far as it depends upon you, live at peace with all, but Scripture itself acknowledges that peace is not always possible when another persists in destructive ways, and distance for safety may be both wise and right.

Your desire for deliverance is a desire God delights to answer, for deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Salvation is of the Lord, and He alone must have the honor of it. You cannot save yourself by a form of words or by your own strength, and you need not carry the weight of another's sin as your own. The Lord brought His people forth from Egypt, not by their own power, but by His own hand, and though they willingly followed, it remained true, He brought them forth. So it is with you. If you feel you can do nothing, that is the very place where free grace is magnified, for He has found a ransom. His own Son has borne the penalty and broken the power of sin and Satan, and in Him there is a complete deliverance, not by our binding formulas, but by His blood and His prevailing intercession. The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan, is the Lord's own word, and your safety is to hide under the precious blood of the Lamb and to look to Christ alone.

Therefore look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for both justification and sanctification, for keeping and for healing. He who delivered you from the pit at the first will keep you from going down again, for His covenant and His faithfulness stand sure, and not one of His little ones shall perish. Bring your wounds to Him daily. Ask Him to brace your nerves and to be your strength, to give you wisdom to walk in holiness, to set right boundaries, and to expose what is evil without returning evil for evil.

Seek also the help of faithful, godly counsel near you, a pastor or mature believers in a true church, and where there is danger or ongoing harm, seek protection and help from those appointed to protect. Do not walk this path alone. Tell your griefs to God, for His ear is not shut, and He does move His arm to work deliverance for those who trust Him. And after affliction, it shall be your joy to say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord, for He has chastened and yet has not given you over.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, who hast delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of Thy dear Son, look upon this Thy child who is afflicted and oppressed. Thou knowest the insults and offenses that have wounded the heart, and the fear that has troubled the soul. Rebuke the adversary and restrain every evil influence, and cover this life with the blood of the Lamb slain. Grant deliverance indeed, and set free from every chain. Give wisdom to honor Thee first, to walk in obedience to Thy Word, and to set right and holy boundaries where sin has broken the design of the family. Grant peace within, protection without, and the comfort of Thy Spirit. Heal what is broken, guard what is vulnerable, and lead into a life of joy and holiness that honors Thee, that in due time this trial may become a song of deliverance to Thy praise. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and ransom. Amen.
