Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you rebuke all the ways in which ### is being used by Satan, standing on Zechariah 3:2. She gave herself up to do Satans works it appears that by intent as she has gotten pregnant by a married man, Lord Jesus I ask that you show people to resist her attempt to hinder, oppress, wrongfully influence, or abuse them, standing on James 4:7. Place a shield of protection over everyone that comes across ###’s path now that she is not saved, standing on Isaiah 54:17. I ask that you set me and everyone that needs to be set free from ### spiritually and generationally, standing on John 8:36. I also ask Lord Jesus that you cancel the principality working behind ###, standing on Colossians 2:15. Set standards for everyone that is under any attack by ### Lord Jesus, standing on Isaiah 59:19. I bind off the counterfeit spirit working thru ###, standing on Matthew 18:18.

I cover this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join with you in this burden and we stand together before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for we know our battle is spiritual and we praise God that you have come boldly through the blood of Jesus.

We hear your cry for deliverance and protection and we agree that the enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy, and that we must resist him by submitting ourselves fully to God. Scripture reminds us For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Therefore while we do rebuke the works of Satan, we do not wrestle against this woman herself as an enemy to be hated, but against the sin and the spiritual forces working behind her. We are called to love our enemies and to pray for those who may be used to oppress or harm us, as Jesus said But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44.

We must also speak the truth in love about what you have described. To become pregnant by a married man is adultery, which God calls sin, for marriage is honorable and holy between one man and one woman for life, and any sexual union outside of that covenant is fornication or adultery. God is merciful and ready to forgive, but He calls all involved to repentance. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Our prayer is not only for protection from influence and oppression, but also for the salvation and repentance of this woman, of the married man, and for healing for his wife and family who have been wounded by this sin. God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4.

We take comfort that you have stood on the Word of God, and we agree with you in that Word. Yahweh said to Satan, Yahweh rebuke you, Satan Zechariah 3:2. We claim together Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. We claim No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. We rejoice that If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36 and that having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2:15. When the enemy comes in like a flood, Yahweh's Spirit will lift up a standard against him Isaiah 59:19. Jesus has given us authority as He said Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven Matthew 18:18. And we overcome by the blood of the Lamb, for They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony Revelation 12:11.

We encourage you to continue to walk in submission to God, in forgiveness, in holiness and in the full armor of God, guarding your heart against bitterness or fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and discipline. Keep praying not only for deliverance from oppression but for the salvation of this woman and for the breaking of generational patterns by the power of Jesus, that she and all who are bound may be set free and made new creations in Christ.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we praise You and thank You and glorify Your holy name. In the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to rebuke every work of Satan operating in and through this situation. We ask You to expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy, every wrongful influence, oppression and abuse, and to place Your hedge of protection over all who cross this woman's path and over us who seek Your face. Wash us and cover us with the precious blood of Jesus. Set us free spiritually and generationally, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Cancel the power of every principality and power that would seek to hold ground, for You have already triumphed over them at the cross. Lift up Your standard against the flood of the enemy and let no weapon formed against Your people prosper. We bind what is not of You and loose Your truth, Your peace and Your righteousness in its place. We pray for this woman, that You would bring deep conviction, repentance and salvation to her, that she would turn from sin and be made new in Christ. We pray for the married man and his family, for repentance, healing and restoration according to Your will. Create in us clean hearts and help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, to walk in love while standing firm against sin. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, keep us in Your truth and lead us in Your will. We ask all this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and deliverer. Amen.

We hear how heavy this has been to carry, and we are grateful you brought it to Jesus so directly. Wanting protection and freedom for yourself and for others around you is a good and caring impulse, and we want to stand with you in that.

One thing we have found helpful when prayer feels focused on another person's spiritual condition is to gently bring the focus back to our own walk with Christ and the practical boundaries He gives us for peace. It is easy to become consumed with trying to discern or counter what someone else may be doing, and that can leave us exhausted and anxious. What tends to bring more steadiness is staying rooted in prayer, in community, and in clear, healthy limits about what we will and will not take responsibility for. Guarding our hearts in that way is not unkind, it helps us love others more clearly.

If it would help, consider sharing this burden with a trusted pastor or mature believer in person, not to try to handle spiritual battles alone, but so you have someone who knows you, can pray with you regularly, and can help you keep perspective and boundaries in the days ahead.

Father, we lift this dear one to You and ask for Your peace and protection over them. Cover them with Your presence, give them wisdom for each interaction and rest for their heart. We ask for safety and care for everyone involved in this situation, and that You would lead each person toward healing and toward Yourself. Help our friend to walk in freedom and clarity, trusting You day by day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

It is right that you should seek deliverance, for there is a Pit from which no man can deliver himself, and a power of darkness from which only God can set us free. Your prayer shows a deep distress and a desire for holiness and protection, and these are right desires before the Lord.

Yet let us consider how God gives deliverance. It is written, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Job 33:24. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance through a ransom if God had not thought of it. The Lord has not only invented the way, He has found the ransom Himself in the blood of His Son. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God alone, through Jesus Christ. It is not by our binding words or by fixing our thoughts upon a person as the embodiment of evil that we are set free, but by looking to our heavenly Father altogether and alone through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Scripture teaches us that our afflictions, even when they come distinctly from the malice or sin of others, are yet under the hand of the Lord who sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace. He fills both the bitter cup and the sweet goblet, and that which we receive as chastening from a Father's hand is meant for our profit. For this reason we may wisely moderate our anger against second causes. The enemy of our souls does shoot his arrows, and sin does bring bitter bondage, but our warfare is not to curse or to condemn a fellow sinner made in God's image. The Lord rebuke thee, as Zechariah speaks, is the Lord's own prerogative, and our calling is to resist the devil by submitting ourselves to God, James 4:7, to humble ourselves, to repent, and to draw near to Christ.

Concerning the situation you name, we must hold fast what Scripture teaches without wavering. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Sex and living together belong within that covenant alone. A pregnancy conceived through adultery, outside that covenant, is not to be affirmed or celebrated, nor may we ask God to bless the sinful union itself. What we must ask God to bless is repentance, truth, mercy and new life in Christ for every soul involved. The child to be born is fearfully and wonderfully made and is to be valued and protected, even as the sin that led to its conception is to be confessed and forsaken.

It is therefore not according to the mind of Christ to pray for the ruin of a woman who is not yet saved, or to speak of her as given wholly to Satan's works. She, like all of us, is in need of the same ransom. He has taught us the mischief that comes from loving sin, and He alone can deliver from its fascinating power. If we pray for protection, let us pray that the Lord would set a hedge about the vulnerable, that He would restrain evil, bring hidden things to light, and keep His people from temptation. If we pray for freedom, let it be the freedom Christ gives, for if the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed, John 8:36, a freedom that breaks generational patterns not by our formulas but by being born again from above.

Let us then pray in this way together, standing not upon phrases but upon Christ Himself who was made a curse for us and who triumphed openly over principalities, Colossians 2:15:

Lord Jesus, Thou art gracious and hast found a ransom. Deliver us from going down to the Pit. We confess our own sin and our need of Thy blood. We ask for Thy protection over all who are affected by this sin, and we ask for mercy upon the woman and the married man who have sinned against Thee. Bring them to repentance and to saving faith in Thee alone. Grant that what has been done in darkness may be brought into Thy light, that truth may be spoken in love, and that the marriage covenant may be honored as Thou hast ordained. Keep us from evil, teach us to resist the devil by submitting to Thee, and let no weapon formed against Thy people prosper as we walk in Thy ways, Isaiah 54:17. Raise up a standard against the power of darkness by Thy Spirit, Isaiah 59:19, and make us to live and declare the works of the Lord. We cover no prayer with our own merit, but we plead Thy precious blood, Revelation 12:11, which alone overcomes. In Jesus name, Amen.

Seek the Lord for your own heart first, that you may be kept from bitterness and may walk in purity and forgiveness. Cast yourself upon the ransom God has provided, and trust Him to do the work of deliverance in His time and way.
