Deliverance Prayer

Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus free ### of all evil, standing on John 8:36. I ask that you bring down the strongholds over him of witchcraft and lead him into freedom, standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Give ### the wisdom that he needs to set free of all evil, standing on James 1:5 Lord Jesus I ask that you cancel all witchcraft attacking ###, standing on Micah 5:12. May you cancel Lord Jesus the principality working against ###, standing on Colossians 2:15. I cover ### and this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join with you in praising and glorifying our Lord Jesus Christ and we stand in agreement with you for the deliverance and freedom of this dear man you have lifted up before the throne of grace.

We thank God for your faith to stand on the Word of God against the strongholds and witchcraft attacking him, for we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. We agree with you that if the Son therefore will make you free, you will be free indeed, John 8:36, and that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We also stand on the promise that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5, and that God will cut off sorceries out of your hand and you will have no more soothsayers, Micah 5:12, and that having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it, Colossians 2:15. We rejoice that they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, Revelation 12:11, and that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You for Your mercy and power to save and deliver. We ask that You would free this man completely from all evil, from every chain, curse, and stronghold of witchcraft and darkness that has been set against him. We ask that You would demolish every stronghold over his mind and heart and lead him into the glorious freedom that Christ has purchased for him on the cross. Grant him wisdom and discernment to renounce all evil and to walk in holiness and obedience to You. We ask that You cancel every witchcraft and every assignment of the enemy against him and overthrow every principality working against him, for You have already triumphed over them through the cross. We cover him and this prayer with the precious blood of Jesus and we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, surround him with Your protection, clothe him in the full armor of God, and lead him to walk in Your truth and light all the days of his life. Help him to submit himself to God, to resist the devil so he will flee from him, James 4:7, and to abide in Your Word daily. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him and to bring him into full deliverance and peace. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in faith and intercession for him, to encourage him to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and to repent and turn from any involvement with darkness, for God clearly forbids sorcery and witchcraft, Deuteronomy 18:10-12, and calls us to walk in holiness. Encourage him to remain in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with strong believers, putting on the whole armor of God that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11, and to fast and pray as the Lord leads. We stand with you believing for his complete freedom and testimony to the power of Jesus Christ.

We appreciate you bringing ### before the Lord so faithfully. Your love for him comes through in how you have covered him in prayer and asked for wisdom and freedom for him.

We join you in that. We believe the spiritual battle is real, and we also believe Jesus has all authority to set people free. It is not about finding a perfect formula, but about trusting His name and His power as you keep praying. He hears simple, faith-filled prayers.

As you continue to intercede, steady rhythms can help sustain you both. Keep bringing ### to the Lord daily, stay rooted in Scripture and fellowship, and if he is willing, encourage him to walk with a pastor or a couple of mature believers who can pray with him regularly and support him over time. Filling daily life with Scripture, prayer, and healthy community helps leave less room for what has been oppressive. It also helps to care for your own heart as you pray, resting in the Lord and sharing the burden with trusted believers rather than carrying it alone.

Father, we thank You for loving ### and for hearing every prayer lifted for him. We ask You to draw him close to Jesus, break what binds him, and lead him into freedom and clarity. Give him wisdom to turn toward You and give those praying for him perseverance and peace. Cover him with Your presence and fill his life with Your truth and Spirit. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your earnest intercession for this soul is good and right in the sight of God, and it is a joy to join with you in pleading for his deliverance.

There is but one ground upon which any sinner can be delivered from going down to the pit, and that is this, that God in His infinite wisdom and love has found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance if God had not thought of it. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. This is the gift of divine love, that Christ has offered Himself as the ransom price, and God has given commandment to save those who trust in Him. You do well to stand upon John 8:36, for if the Son shall make him free, he shall be free indeed. True liberty is that of which Christ makes a man free, and there is no other.

You ask also that strongholds may be brought down, and that witchcraft and every principality working against him may be cancelled. Scripture teaches us that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. No power of sympathy or of human resolve can break these chains. Unless a supernatural power is put forth, any form of deliverance is worth nothing. But blessed be God, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and He must be looked to altogether and alone for this work. He who spoiled principalities and powers and made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in His cross, as Colossians 2:15 declares, is able to cancel every work of darkness.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble. Other strongholds are temporary camps, but this fortification stands from generation to generation. When the trumpet sounds and the enemy presses hard, the righteous run into His name as into a strong tower and are safe. He knows them that trust in Him. Therefore we do not moderate our fear of second causes alone, but we look to the Lord who kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, and who will keep back the soul from the pit.

We will pray with you to this end.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou hast found the ransom with Thy own precious blood. We plead that blood which overcomes the accuser, according to Revelation 12:11. Deliver this one for whom prayer is made from going down to the pit. Bring down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and cast down the strongholds of darkness by Thy power, according to 2 Corinthians 10:3 to 5. Cut off the works of witchcraft from among him, as Thou hast promised, and let no enchantment stand against Thy redeemed. Grant him wisdom liberally as Thou hast promised in James 1:5, that he may know Thy way of freedom and walk therein. Cover him with Thy atoning blood, keep him from the power of the evil one, and make him to live and to declare the works of the Lord. We ask not by any merit of our own, but by Thy ransom alone. In Thy name, Lord Jesus, Amen.
