Deliverance Prayer

Your prayer for deliverance has been received and it is good that you bring this need to Christ, for true freedom comes from Him alone. You have stood on the right promises, that if the Son makes you free you will be free indeed, and that Christ has triumphed over every principality and power.

Remember what the apostle teaches, with freedom Christ set us free, stand fast therefore. We did not work our own deliverance. Another has redeemed us and paid the ransom with His own blood. For this reason we do not return again to the dominion we were under before, but we stand firm and do not waver. The freedom Christ gives is not uncertain or for a moment, but firm, because it is God who justifies.

Do not seek only to be emptied of evil, but to be filled with holiness. Scripture shows there are two gifts, to be freed from sin and to be made servants to righteousness, which is better than any mere freedom. It is not enough to be delivered from the mire, we are also called to be bright and beautiful by the presence of the Holy Spirit and by a life of good works. Virtue bestows true freedom and makes a person honorable even in hard circumstances. So while you pray against witchcraft and every stronghold that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, also pray that this dear one may be led into a life of purity, truth and obedience, free from every kind of sin, not only from one.

We join you in prayer now. Lord Jesus, we praise You and thank You. We ask that You set this one free according to Your promise in John 8:36. Bring down every stronghold and every thought raised against You, as You have promised in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. Grant wisdom liberally as You promise in James 1:5, that he may walk in Your way. Cancel every work of darkness attacking him, and show Your victory over every principality, for You made a public spectacle of them triumphing over them by the cross according to Colossians 2:15. We ask that You cover him and this prayer with Your precious blood, by which we overcome according to Revelation 12:11. Make him not only free from evil, but holy, a servant of righteousness, standing fast in the liberty with which You have made us free. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Continue to pray, to stay in the Scriptures, to turn from all that is evil and to pursue what is pure and good. God is faithful to hear and to keep those who trust in Him.
