Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in prayer before the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving for His mercy and power to save and deliver. We have heard your cry for your son and for the restoration of your relationship as mother and son, and we stand with you on the Word of God.
We praise God that by Himself He has purged our sins and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, and that through His blood we have victory. We agree with you standing on Revelation 12:11, that you and your son are covered by the precious blood of Jesus, and that by that blood and the word of your testimony the enemy is overcome.
In the name of Jesus Christ we ask the Father to remove every bad influence from your son's life and to break every chain that would lead him away from truth. Standing on 2 Corinthians 10:3 to 5, we pray that every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God would be pulled down, and that his mind would be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Standing on Micah 5:12, we ask the Lord to cut off all witchcraft and every work of darkness sent against him, and to cancel its power completely, for deliverance from evil belongs to Christ alone who came to free us from the curse and bring us into sonship.
We also pray for the healing of the bond between mother and son. God commanded, Honor thy father and thy mother, and He places great honor on this relationship. As Christ Himself showed care for His mother even at the cross, so we know He cares for the love between a mother and her child. Standing on Isaiah 61:7, we ask the Lord to restore what has been broken and to give in place of shame a double portion of joy and peace in your relationship. Standing on Zechariah 3:2, we ask the Lord to rebuke Satan and every interference of the devil that has come between you, and to set a guard over your family.
May the Lord keep you both continuing with one accord in prayer, watchful and steadfast, trusting not in tradition or in the power of man but in the promise of God which alone forms and renews life. May your son be kept from evil, drawn to the will of God, and may your home be filled with the grace that makes true sons and daughters through faith in Christ.
We commit you and your son into the hands of Jesus, who alone is our deliverance and our hope. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
