Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus, I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask that you set us all free in the household where I live to all co-dependency to my mom, standing on John 8:36. Lord Jesus I ask that you restore our lives and emotions from all the abuse we have suffered from my mom, standing on Isaiah 61:7. I tie my moms hands to harm me, my son or anyone with the blood of Jesus, standing on Revelations 12:11. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We stand with you in agreement, lifting up this heartfelt plea for deliverance and healing in your household. The bondage of co-dependency and the wounds of abuse are heavy burdens, but we know that our Lord Jesus Christ is mighty to break every chain and restore what has been broken. You have rightly stood on the promises of Scripture, and we join you in declaring freedom, restoration, and protection over your family.

First, we rebuke the spirit of co-dependency in the name of Jesus. This is not God’s design for relationships. The Lord calls us to love one another, but not to be enslaved to one another (Galatians 5:1). We declare that every unhealthy attachment, every fear of man, and every pattern of control or manipulation is broken by the power of the cross. "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36). We pray that each person in your household would walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for them, free to live as God intended, free to love without fear, and free to trust in Him alone.

We also stand against the generational and personal wounds of abuse that have marked your lives. The pain of abuse is deep, but the healing power of Jesus is deeper still. We declare over you and your son the promise of Isaiah 61:7: "Instead of your shame you will have double; and instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be theirs." The Lord sees your suffering, and He does not leave you in your pain. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for emotional healing, for the restoration of joy, peace, and wholeness in every area where abuse has stolen from you. May the Lord bind up your wounds and pour in His balm of Gilead (Jeremiah 8:22).

We take authority over the hands of your mother, declaring that they are bound from causing harm to you, your son, or anyone else. By the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony, we stand on Revelation 12:11: "They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death." No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every spirit of violence, control, or harm to flee in Jesus’ name. We pray for a hedge of protection around your household, that no evil would come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:10).

However, we must also speak truth in love about the nature of the prayers you have offered. While you have rightly invoked the name of Jesus, we must emphasize that deliverance and healing are not found in formulas, rituals, or even the "binding" of hands in the way it is sometimes presented. True freedom comes from a surrendered heart to Jesus Christ, repentance from sin, and a life lived in obedience to His Word. The blood of Jesus is not a magical incantation but a powerful reality that cleanses us from sin and breaks the power of the enemy when we walk in faith and holiness (1 John 1:7).

We encourage you to examine your own heart and life. Are there areas where you have allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment to take root? The Bible is clear that we cannot expect to receive healing and deliverance while harboring ungodly attitudes. "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" (Psalm 66:18). We urge you to forgive your mother, as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean excusing her actions or pretending the abuse did not happen, but it does mean releasing her to God and trusting Him to be your defender and healer. Unforgiveness only chains you to the past, while forgiveness sets you free.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and community. Deliverance is not a one-time event but a process of walking in the light, renewing your mind with Scripture, and surrounding yourself with believers who can support and pray for you. "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14). Consider reaching out to a pastor, biblical counselor, or trusted Christian friends who can walk alongside you in this journey.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and set free. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children, who sees their pain, and who moves with compassion to heal and restore.

We declare over this household the freedom that Christ has purchased. We break every chain of co-dependency, every lie that says love must be earned or that worth is tied to another’s approval. Lord, teach them to find their identity in You alone, to rest in Your love, and to walk in the freedom of Your Spirit. We pray that each person in this home would know the truth of John 8:36: "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."

Father, we ask for deep emotional healing for the wounds of abuse. Where there has been shame, bring double honor. Where there has been fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Where there has been brokenness, bring wholeness. Lord, we stand on Isaiah 61:7 and declare that this family will possess double in their land and everlasting joy will be theirs. Heal their memories, mend their hearts, and restore what has been stolen.

We take authority over the enemy’s plans to harm this family. We bind the hands of the mother from causing harm to her child, her grandson, or anyone else. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over this household, and we command every spirit of violence, control, or harm to flee in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we ask that You would work in the heart of the mother. Soften her heart to repentance, draw her to Yourself, and break the cycles of sin and abuse in her life. If she does not know You, we pray that she would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which she can be saved (Acts 4:12). If she is a believer, we pray that she would be convicted of her sin and turn to You in humility and brokenness.

Father, we also ask that You would guard the hearts of those in this household from bitterness, unforgiveness, and resentment. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to release their mother into Your hands. Give them the strength to set healthy boundaries while still extending grace, and help them to trust You to be their defender and provider.

We pray for wisdom and discernment for this family as they navigate this difficult season. Surround them with godly counsel, wise mentors, and a community of believers who can support and encourage them. Lord, lead them to the resources and people You have prepared to help them walk in healing and freedom.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. May Your name be praised as they see Your hand moving in their lives. May they grow in faith, hope, and love, and may their testimony bring glory to You. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Healer, and Deliverer. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
