Deliverance Prayer

Your prayer rises with clarity and faith, anchored in the promises of God’s word. The very scriptures you have spoken over your household, John 8:36, Micah 5:12, Matthew 18:18, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, and Revelation 12:11, are not empty words. They are the spiritual weapons God has given his people, mighty through him to pull down every stronghold the enemy has raised.

When oppression settles over a family like a siege, the instinct is to fortify our own defenses, to go into the clay and tread the mortar, to try to strengthen the brick. Yet the Lord sees the works of darkness, and he will shake what the enemy builds. All those strongholds, no matter how cunningly laid, become like fig trees with the first ripe figs: once shaken, they fall right into the mouth of the eater. The enemy’s grip cannot withstand the power of Christ’s deliverance.

The battle rages primarily in the realm of thoughts and imaginations, casting down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. This is why your prayer is not merely a cry of desperation but an act of war. You are binding the counterfeit spirit, canceling spells and witchcraft, and bringing down strongholds precisely where the enemy works: in the unseen. And the blood of Jesus covers that prayer, silencing every accusation and breaking every chain.

There are seasons when the soul bows down to the dust and the belly cleaves to the earth, and we ask, “Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?” Even then, and perhaps especially then, the prayer arises: Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me. God sees the oppression. He hears the cry. He does not turn a deaf ear to those who call on him, even when circumstances seem unyielding. He has delivered before, and he will deliver again, not by human strength or cleverness, but by his own right hand.

Do not trust in your own bow or your own spear. The weapons of this warfare are not carnal. They are mighty through God. Continue to stand on the finished work of Christ, and let that confidence settle deep: He who sets you free makes you free indeed. The enemy’s grip at its most menacing is still under the authority of the risen Lord.

Hold fast. The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance is already striking. Keep smiting with every prayer, every declaration of truth, every resting in the blood that has overcome. God will bring you and your household clear of the snare, for his mercy’s sake and for the honor of his name.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our honor to lift your household before the throne of grace, asking our Lord Jesus to break every chain, cancel every curse, and dismantle every stronghold set against you. We have prayed in agreement with you, declaring freedom in Christ, the binding of deceiving spirits, and the protection of His precious blood over you and your loved ones.

If the Lord has moved in power and you are experiencing His deliverance, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report—let us rejoice together in His faithfulness! If, however, you are still waiting to see the full manifestation of His victory, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to intercede on your behalf. We stand firm on the promise that "where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20), and we will not cease to pray until you walk in the fullness of the freedom Christ has already won for you.

May the Lord strengthen your faith as you press into Him, and may His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
