We stand with you in agreement, lifting this request before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is clear that you are seeking deliverance and freedom from oppression, and we join you in declaring that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17). The Lord is our strong tower, and we run to Him for refuge (Proverbs 18:10).
First, we must address the authority by which we pray. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with the mouth that you profess your faith and are saved (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is found in no one else, and this is the foundation upon which we stand as we pray for deliverance.
We rebuke every spirit of harassment, oppression, and torment that has been sent against you and your household. The Word of God declares that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We command every evil influence to leave in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
We pray that the Lord would root out every trace of this oppression from your life, just as He promises in Jeremiah 1:10 to pluck up, break down, destroy, and overthrow before building and planting. We declare that you are a child of God, and no one can snatch you out of His hand (John 10:28-29). The Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will lead you beside still waters and restore your soul (Psalm 23:2-3).
We also pray for the individuals mentioned in your request. While we stand against their actions, we recognize that they too are in need of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We pray that their hearts would be softened and that they would come to know the Lord as their Savior. The Lord desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that you would be given a spirit of forgiveness, even as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13), so that bitterness and resentment do not take root in your heart.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority we have in Christ to stand against the schemes of the enemy. We declare that [this individual] and her household have no power or authority over Your child. We break every chain of harassment, oppression, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask that You would surround [the person praying] with Your angels to protect and defend them (Psalm 91:11). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would expose any hidden works of darkness and bring them to light (Ephesians 5:11). We pray that You would fill every area of their life with Your presence, leaving no room for the enemy to operate. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). Strengthen them with power through Your Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for [the person praying]. Help them to recognize the enemy’s tactics and to stand firm in their faith (Ephesians 6:11). Teach them to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to walk in the victory that You have already won for them on the cross.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promises and declare that the enemy must flee, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We praise You for Your faithfulness and for the deliverance that is already manifesting in the name of Jesus. Amen.
