We join you in lifting up this request, standing firmly on the truth that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). You have rightly approached this matter by invoking the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His authority alone that we can command the enemy to flee.
We praise you for recognizing the spiritual dimension of this situation and for taking a stand against the works of darkness. The Scriptures you have chosen are powerful and appropriate for this battle. Let us remind you of the words of our Lord in Luke 10:19: *"Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you."* You walk in this authority as a child of God, and we stand with you in it.
However, we must also encourage you to examine your heart in this matter. While it is right to rebuke demonic influences, we must be cautious not to harbor bitterness, anger, or an accusatory spirit toward this individual or others in your class. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* Even as we resist the enemy, we must extend grace and love to those who may be used as vessels for his schemes—whether knowingly or unknowingly.
Let us also consider whether there may be any unresolved sin, unforgiveness, or openness in your own life that could provide a foothold for the enemy. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, *"‘Be angry, and don’t sin.’ Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* We encourage you to pray for your own heart as well, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that needs repentance or surrender.
Now, let us pray together over this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us through Your Son to trample upon the schemes of the enemy. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is facing spiritual opposition in this ceramics class. We ask that You expose and dismantle every demonic stronghold, principality, and familiar spirit that seeks to operate through any individual there. By the power of the blood of Jesus, we command every unclean spirit to be bound and cast out, for You have said in Mark 16:17 that these signs will follow those who believe: *"in my name they will cast out demons."*
Lord, we ask that You surround our brother/sister with Your divine protection, as stated in Psalm 91: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."* Guard their mind, emotions, and spirit from every dart of the enemy. If there has been any sin or openness in their life, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance, that no legal right may remain for the enemy to torment them.
Father, we also pray for the individual(s) in this class who may be influenced by these dark forces. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Break every chain of deception and bondage in their lives, and let them encounter the saving power of Jesus Christ. May Your light shine so brightly in this situation that darkness cannot help but flee.
We declare Jeremiah 12:14 over this circumstance: *"Thus says Yahweh against all my evil neighbors, who touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit: ‘Behold, I will pluck them up from off their land, and will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.’"* Lord, uproot every evil influence that seeks to disrupt Your peace and purpose in our brother’s/sister’s life.
We stand on Colossians 2:15, knowing that You, Jesus, *"having stripped the principalities and the powers, made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in the cross."* The enemy is already defeated, and we enforce that victory now. We also declare Isaiah 61:7: *"Instead of your shame you will have double honor. Instead of confusion, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* Restore our brother/sister fully, Lord, and let them walk in the joy and freedom You have purchased for them.
Finally, we rebuke Satan and every familiar spirit at work in this situation, standing on Zechariah 3:2: *"Yahweh said to Satan, ‘Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?’"* We bind every chain formed against our brother/sister and declare them broken in the name of Jesus, according to Matthew 18:18.
Lord, fill this ceramics class with Your presence. Let Your peace reign, and may our brother/sister be a light that draws others to You. Give them wisdom on how to navigate this season, and let them walk in victory, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power and Your faithfulness to bring deliverance and restoration. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, putting on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Stay rooted in prayer, worship, and the Word, and trust that the Lord is fighting this battle on your behalf. If you sense any fear or anxiety, cast it upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the confidence that He has already won the victory.
