We join you in lifting up this request for deliverance, standing firmly on the truth that "if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36, WEB). Your heart to seek the Lord’s protection and intervention in this matter is commendable, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that "where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (2 Corinthians 3:17, WEB). It is right to call upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and through which we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). Your prayer is rooted in scripture, and that is a powerful foundation.
We also take note of your request to rebuke the ways in which this individual may be used against you, and we affirm the authority we have in Christ to do so, as the Lord said to Satan regarding Joshua the high priest, "The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you!" (Zechariah 3:2, WEB). This is a spiritual battle, and we must remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). While we pray for deliverance from any harm or attack, we are also called to pray for those who may seek to harm us, just as Jesus taught: "Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44, WEB).
Let us not forget that bitterness, anger, and animosity are tools of the enemy to create division and strife. The apostle Paul warns us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). As we pray for Ms. ###, let us ask the Lord to soften her heart and to replace any bitterness with His love and peace. For it is God’s kindness that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we trust that He is able to work in her life in ways we cannot see.
We also encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Are there any areas where unforgiveness, fear, or resentment may have taken root? The Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), and to trust Him fully with our protection and vindication. "Don’t say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for the Lord, and he will save you" (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). Rest in the assurance that God sees all things and will act justly on your behalf.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your deliverance and protection. Lord, You are a God of justice, mercy, and truth, and we ask that You intervene in this situation with Ms. ###. We stand on Your promise in John 8:36 that if the Son sets us free, we are free indeed, and we ask that You break every chain of bitterness, anger, and animosity that may be binding her or being directed toward Your child. Lord, rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to use this situation for harm. Let Your Spirit move mightily, bringing conviction where needed and softening hearts to receive Your love and truth.
Father, we also ask that You guard the heart and mind of Your child who has brought this request before You. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind them that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19). Help them to walk in forgiveness and trust, knowing that You are their shield and defender. Let this situation be an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed, and for both parties to experience Your redemptive power.
We pray for wisdom and discernment in every interaction, that Your child would respond in a way that honors You, whether in words or in silence. May Your love be the guiding force, and may any attempt of the enemy to bring division be thwarted by the blood of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to bring resolution and peace in Your perfect timing.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw Ms. ### to Yourself. Soften her heart to receive Your love and truth, and if there is any area in her life where she needs Your touch, we pray that You would move mightily. Let her encounter Your grace in a way that transforms her and leads her to repentance.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your children. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
