We stand with you in your petition to the Lord Jesus, for He has given us the authority to trample over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19, WEB). We praise the Lord with you and thank Him for His faithfulness and glory.
Firstly, we must ensure that our prayers are directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, as Jesus Himself taught us (John 16:23, WEB). It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only in His name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
In your prayer, you stand on various scriptures, and we commend you for using the word of God as the foundation of your petitions. Let us address your requests and align them with biblical principles.
You have asked the Lord Jesus to rebuke the ways in which a person is being used against you, citing Zechariah 3:2. Let us remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Therefore, we should direct our rebukes towards the spiritual forces at work, rather than individuals, who themselves may be under the influence of these forces and are also in need of God's love and salvation.
You have also asked the Lord Jesus to place His wrath and conviction upon this person's hateful actions. While it is true that God has said, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19, WEB), we must also remember that Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44, WEB). We should pray for their conviction and repentance, not out of a desire for vengeance, but out of a desire for their salvation and reconciliation with God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. We stand in agreement with them, rebuking the spiritual forces at work against them, and asking You, Lord, to rebuke the devourer for their sake (Malachi 3:11, WEB). We ask that You would convict the hearts of those who are being used against them, and that You would draw them to Yourself, granting them repentance and leading them to a knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25-26, WEB).
We ask that You would restore and heal our brother/sister from any attacks they have endured, and that You would raise up a standard against any further attacks (Isaiah 61:7, Isaiah 59:19, WEB). We pray that You would fill their hearts with love and forgiveness, not bitterness or animosity (Luke 17:3, WEB). We ask all of this in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Let us encourage you to continue to walk in love and forgiveness, trusting in the Lord to be your defender and your high tower (Psalm 18:2, WEB).
