Deliverance prayer for the former ###

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for the suffering of His holy Son Jesus for all who believe, and we agree with you in the name of Jesus that our God hears us when we come together in prayer. We are encouraged that you have come in the powerful name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6

We lift up this man, your former landlord, with you. We share your burden for him and we praise God that you see him as His child who is straying and in need of deliverance. God knows the plans He has for him, plans for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 Yet we must speak the truth in love about what you have described. To enter into sinful relationships or activities outside of God's design is to walk the broad way that leads to destruction, for narrow is the gate and restricted is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it. Matthew 7:13-14 Any sexual relationship outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication or adultery, and the Scriptures also call homosexuality immoral and forbidden, for God created us male and female and ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman to reflect His holiness. When we seek identity in those sinful desires or relationships rather than in Christ, we adopt a false identity. The truth is, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

We pray together for his deliverance and for the softening of his heart.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this man to You. You know him by name, You see where he lives and who surrounds him, and You see the control, the blackmail and the danger that oppresses him. We ask that You open his eyes to the unmistakable truth of his identity in Christ and to the deception of the false identity he has embraced. Take away his stony heart and give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him, take away the stony heart out of his flesh and give him a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26 Help him to fear Your holy name, for the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10 Grant him courage to depart from evil and to turn away from the evil influences in his household and from the evil woman in his life who leads him away from Your narrow path. We ask that You separate him from ungodly influences, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity or what fellowship has light with darkness. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Rescue him from those who control and threaten him, for You are near to those who are brokenhearted and You save those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18 We pray that he will confess his sin, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 We ask that he will submit himself to You and resist the devil so that the enemy will flee from him. James 4:7 Deliver him from evil, set his feet on solid ground, and lead him to walk in purity and obedience. If it is Your will, restore him and in Your timing lead him to a godly marriage that honors You, or give him grace to live holy and single before You. Protect his life, Lord, and let him know the depth of Your love that is greater than any hateful and sinful relationship. In Jesus powerful name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him with steadfast love and with boundaries that honor God. Speak the truth to him when God gives opportunity, pray that he will hear God's voice and not the voices of those who use and harm him, and trust that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 Keep praying that he will choose life, turn from every form of sexual immorality and ungodly entanglement, and follow Jesus fully. We stand with you, believing God is able to break every chain and bring him into freedom.

Thank you for lifting this man to the Lord with such care and persistence. We can hear how much you want him to know who he really is in Christ and to be free from what is entangling and harming him, and it is a good and loving thing to bring him before Jesus the way you have.

We were struck by your prayer for his identity. When a person's sense of self gets built around relationships or desires that pull away from God, it can feel very confusing and hard to step back from. A steady identity grounded in Christ is what gives someone a reference point when everything else is turbulent, and only God can do that heart work of softening what has grown hard and giving courage to choose a different path.

Since he is your former landlord and you are no longer in daily contact, one of the most helpful things you can do is keep your role simple and prayerful. You cannot fix his household situation or make choices for him, and trying to step into the middle often makes things harder for everyone. Continuing to hold him before the Lord in quiet, consistent prayer while keeping healthy boundaries is a faithful way to love him without carrying what is not yours to carry.

Father, we lift this man to You and ask You to draw near to him. Give him eyes to see Your love and who he is in Christ, soften his heart and give him courage to turn from what is destroying him. Where there is control, blackmail or danger, we ask for Your protection and for wisdom for him to seek safe help. Lead him away from what harms him and toward Your narrow path. We entrust him to Your care in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace, thanking God that you come together in the name of Jesus and that the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, cleanses from all sin all who truly repent and believe in Him. It is right to seek the Lord for this man, and we add our amen to your cry that God would open his ears and seal his instruction, that He may withdraw man from his purpose and hide pride from man.

We pray that the Lord will deliver him from the power of darkness and from going down to the Pit. There is a power of darkness that holds men in sin, in the fascinating power of sin and in the snares of ungodly influences, and only our heavenly Father can deliver from it altogether and alone. We ask that God would do that mighty work and teach him the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, so that temptation may be in vain. We pray with you that God would break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that He would separate him from those who would control and blackmail and endanger him, including those in his own household, and bring him into the light and liberty of Christ. When Christ was bound, His people were made free, and we pray that this man may know that freedom, not to go back into bondage, but to be bound to Christ in love.

We pray also for a true work of repentance in him, for there is a repentance that is only the outcome of nature under terror, a superficial work that only affects the surface of the man and withers in a night, and gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance from sin. Beware of that false repentance which springs alone from fear or leads to hardness of heart and despair. The repentance that will save him is quite consistent with faith in Christ. Faith and repentance are inseparable companions. Repentance ejects sin as an evil tenant, and faith admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. Repentance pulls down, and faith builds up. We pray that God would work in him that true repentance which hates sin because it slew Christ and turns away from it to live as the holy God would have him live, and that with it He would give simple faith to look unto Jesus and be saved.

For our prayer is not that God would bless any way that strays from His narrow path, nor affirm any identity or relationship that is contrary to His holy will. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy belongs within it. Any other way is sin, and sin must be repented of, not celebrated. We do not ask God to prosper what He calls evil, but to give this man understanding to fear His holy name, to see the clear truth about his identity in Christ as a sinner who may be made a new creature by grace, and to depart from evil and from every sinful and hateful entanglement. May he hear the voice of the Lord concerning His holy plan for his life, and may he look out of himself and away from himself, and look to Christ and to what Christ has done upon the cross, trusting in His one great sacrifice.

So we pray, Heavenly Father, deliver him from going down to the Pit. Open his eyes to see the depth of Your love and the exceeding sinfulness of sin. Grant him godly sorrow that gives You glory, and faith to receive remission of sins in Jesus. Soften his heart, give him courage to follow the narrow path, guard his life from danger, and bring him to declare the works of the Lord, that he shall not die but live in Christ. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, who alone is the way of salvation, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this man before the Lord and agree with you in prayer for his deliverance and repentance.

We thank God that through the cross of Jesus Christ there is both deliverance from evil and the gift of adoption as sons. As Scripture teaches, we receive this sonship by putting on Christ and receiving the Spirit of adoption, and in Him we find our true identity, not in any false identity built on sinful desires or relationships. We pray that this man will hear the voice of the Lord, see the truth about who he is in Christ, and turn from the path he has taken to follow the narrow way that leads to life.

We pray that God will grant him godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation, a repentance that brings no regret. Even when sins are many and deep, repentance has great power to set free and to make safe those in danger, if a person will lay hold of it with a genuine purpose of heart. Scripture shows us that even those who had fallen into great wickedness, like Manasseh, were washed clean when they turned to God in repentance and consideration. No one who has sinned needs to despair, for to despair keeps a person from the very remedy that can heal him, but to repent opens the way for Christ to be formed in him again.

So we pray, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, that you would break a stony heart and give a heart of flesh, soften him to fear your holy name and to depart from evil. Grant him courage to leave sinful and harmful relationships where he is controlled and endangered, and separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household. Guard his life from harm and from the schemes of the enemy, and lead him into holiness, continence and purity according to your design, in which marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and sexual intimacy belongs only within that covenant. Help him to know the depth of your love, to hate what is evil and to cling to what is good, and to rest his hope not in himself but in your mercy.

We will continue to pray with you that he will be fully delivered from the dangers that press upon him, not only kept from death but taught to walk in newness of life, above fear, in the hope of your salvation. May the Lord give you perseverance in prayer and comfort as you wait on Him, using this time to seek His will and to trust His far greater thoughts and plans. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
