Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe, and we agree together with you in the name of Jesus that our God hears us when we agree together in prayer as you have asked.

We lift up this man, your former landlord, before the throne of grace. We praise God that you see him as His child and that you intercede for his deliverance with such compassion. We know the Lord has good plans for him, for it is written Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And His thoughts and ways are far above ours as it is written Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We pray that the Lord will open his eyes to his true identity in Christ. The Word says 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. We ask the Father to reveal to him the false identity he adopted when he strayed from the narrow path and followed his own desires. Jesus taught us Matthew 7:13-14 Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life. Few are those who find it. We pray the Lord will give him courage to choose that narrow way.

We ask God to do what only He can do and take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh as He promised Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. We pray that his heart will be softened to hear the voice of the Shepherd and to depart from evil. The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom as it is written Proverbs 9:10 The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Give him understanding to fear Your holy name and to hate evil.

We agree with you in rebuking the sin and the ungodly influences that have entangled him. If he has entered into sexual immorality outside of biblical marriage, we must call it what God calls it, fornication or adultery, and we know we are to flee from it as it is written 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman that honors God, and any relationship outside of that design, including controlling and hateful relationships, is not of God and leads to destruction. We pray he will recognize the depth of God's love which is pure and holy, and see clearly the sinful and hateful relationships where he is controlled and blackmailed and even in danger. We pray for his complete deliverance and protection, for it is written Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles and John 8:36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

We pray that the Lord will separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, for we are warned 1 Corinthians 15:33 Don’t be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals and 2 Corinthians 6:14 Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity. We ask God to remove the evil woman and every evil influence from his life and to place godly people around him who will speak truth in love.

We pray together for his protection where his life may be in danger. We ask the Father to be his refuge and to break every chain of control, manipulation and blackmail. We resist the enemy on his behalf as it is written James 4:7 Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. We pray God will grant him a sound mind and no fear, for 2 Timothy 1:7 For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Father, we thank You that You desire all to come to repentance and that if we confess our sins You are faithful to forgive as it is written 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We ask that You grant this man repentance, open his eyes, soften his heart, deliver him from evil and set his feet firmly on Your narrow path for Your glory. Give him understanding to depart from evil and to walk in the freedom and identity You have for him in Christ.

We thank You for the faith of the one interceding and we pray You will strengthen and encourage them as they continue to stand in the gap. Help them to trust Your timing and Your perfect will. We ask all these things in the powerful and only name by which we are saved and have access to You, Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Thank you for bringing this man before the Lord with such care and persistence. We hear your concern for him, both for his walk with God and for his safety, and we join you in lifting him up.

It is a loving thing to pray that he would know who he is in Christ more clearly than any other identity or attachment that has shaped him. That kind of renewing is often not instant but a gradual work as the Holy Spirit softens the heart, brings clarity, and gives courage to step away from what harms and controls. We can trust Jesus the Deliverer to do that work in His way and timing, even when we cannot see the change yet.

One steady way to help is to keep entrusting him to God in prayer while holding healthy boundaries yourself. Since he is your former landlord, you are not in a position to rescue or confront directly, especially where you sense control or danger. Continuing to pray for his protection, wisdom, and willingness to seek safe, godly counsel if he wants it, leaves the outcome in the Lord's hands without putting yourself at risk.

Father, we thank You for Your love for this man and for the one praying for him. We ask You to draw him close, show him Your love and truth in a way he can understand, and guard him from harm and from influences that would keep him bound. Give him wisdom to fear Your name and courage to choose what is good, and give our friend peace as he continues to pray. Lead both in Your will and keep them in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join with you in it, seeking mercy for this man who is in great peril of soul and body.

We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, for there is no blessing to be found in wandering from His narrow path. His way is holy, and His design for our good is plain, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that the union of the body belongs only within that covenant. To depart from this is to walk in darkness, and we pray not that God would prosper such a path, but that He would deliver from it. As it is written, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

We pray therefore for a repentance that is not of the flesh, not that poor and short lived repentance which comes up in a night and withers in a night, which springs only from terror and affects only the surface of the man. Judgments apart from divine grace may produce a kind of repentance, but it is not of that holy, healthy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. We ask the Lord to give this man that godly repentance which needs not to be repented of, a repentance that leads him to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Faith means trust in Christ, and repentance and faith are inseparable companions. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of.

We beseech the Lord to be gracious unto him and to say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Christ was bound that His people might be free. When Christ was made sin for us, we were made the righteousness of God in Him. When He was bound, His people were loosed. O that this man may look to what Christ has done, to His one great sacrifice, and in looking, live. We pray that the Lord would open his ears and seal his instruction, that He may withdraw him from his purpose and hide pride from him, that He would break the stony heart and give a heart of flesh, that He would give courage to follow the narrow path and a holy fear of His name.

We join you in asking that the Lord would separate him from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from that sinful and hateful entanglement in which he is controlled and blackmailed and in danger. We pray that he may see clearly the false identity he has taken up and the true identity which is found only in Christ, that he may know himself as a new creature in Christ Jesus if he will but trust Him, and that he may depart from evil and from the evil woman who ensnares him. May he be kept from going back into bondage, but may he rejoice in the liberty wherewith Christ makes free.

We will continue to pray that the Lord, like a careful dispenser, will deal with him in covenant love, not pouring out one drop too little or too much, scourging as a Father but not slaying, and bringing him to that joyful liberty which comes from beholding sin punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all those who trust Him. May he be brought to trust the Lord Jesus with a simple faith, though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, and so be safe and be found abiding in Him.

We join you in prayer before our merciful Father, giving thanks with you for the cross and for His holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. The Lord indeed hears when His people agree together in the name of Christ, and we bring this man before Him as you have asked.

We pray that God would grant this man true repentance. Repentance has great force and is able to set free from the burden of sins even one who has come to the very depth of wickedness, if he will lay hold upon it. As it is written, does not he that falls rise again, or he that turns away turn back to God. We ask that Christ may be formed in him again, that he who was crucified with Christ in baptism may remain dead to sin and alive to God. For a man cannot live to God otherwise than by dying to sin, by mortifying fornication, uncleanness and passion, and by letting Christ live and reign within him. We pray that he would cast off every false identity and carnal relationship and rest his hope of salvation not in his own desires or in any human bond, but in faith, in repentance and in continence before God.

We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to the truth about his identity in Christ, that through Christ we receive deliverance from evil and promotion to sonship, that we put on Christ and receive the Spirit of adoption. May God break the stony heart and soften it, give him courage to choose the narrow path, and grant him a holy fear of His name so that he may depart from evil.

We also pray as you asked that God would separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from every controlling, hateful and sinful entanglement that endangers his soul and body. Sin is fearful and brings ruin to the soul, and often the body also is scourged for the healing of the soul, as Christ said to the man He healed, behold you are made whole, sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you. May this man hear that warning with godly sorrow, for godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation without regret, and may he turn from every relationship and activity that is outside God's holy design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, where alone sexual union belongs.

Above all we ask that he would come to know the depth of God's love through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. Let him not despair, for to despair destroys more than to sin, and he who has offended, if he is vigilant, speedily amends what has been done by repentance. May the Lord keep you also in faith and prayer, that you would continue to love what is holy and to intercede with hope, trusting that God desires all to come to repentance and to live a new life in Christ.
