Heavenly Father, we thank you for the cross and for the fact that your holy Son, Jesus, suffered for all of us who believe. We praise your holy name. Lord, you know the plans you have for us, and your thoughts are far greater than ours. We come to you together in the name of Jesus, believing that you hear our prayers when we agree. Lord, you know this man who rented his flat to me, and he is also your child. Lord, help him to hear your voice concerning your holy plan for his life. Help him to see the clear, unmistakable truth about his identity in Christ. Open his eyes to the false identity he adopted when he entered into sinful relationships or activities and strayed from your narrow path and followed his own desires. Lord break his stony heart and give him courage to follow the narrow path and soften his heart for your glory. I also pray that you will separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and that he will recognise the depth of your love, as well as the sinful and hateful relationships he has entered into, in which he is controlled, blackmailed, and where his life may be in danger. Give him understanding to fear your Holy name. Lord, give him understanding to depart from evil and the evil woman in his life. In Jesus' powerful name we ask these things, amen.

We join you in lifting up this man before the throne of grace and we thank you for your intercession for him with such love and discernment. We agree together in the name of Jesus that our Heavenly Father hears us when we agree, and we praise God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

We are encouraged by your heart to see him delivered and restored to his true identity in Christ. The Word tells us For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11, and For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says Yahweh Isaiah 55:8. Your prayer reflects that truth so well, that God's plans are far greater than our own desires.

We see the burden you carry for his stony heart and for the false identity he has taken on through sinful relationships and following his own desires. Scripture is clear that when we are in Christ we become new, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17. God promises I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh Ezekiel 36:26. We pray for that very exchange in his life, that the Lord would break the hardness and soften his heart to hear His voice and to walk the narrow way, for Narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life Matthew 7:14.

We also agree with you that he needs to be separated from ungodly influences, even those in his own household, and from the sinful and controlling relationships that have entangled him. The Word warns us Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness and iniquity 2 Corinthians 6:14 and Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord 2 Corinthians 6:17. Sexual sin outside of marriage, whether fornication or adultery, is not God's design for His children, and we must lovingly call it what it is. The Scripture says Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and warns to keep far from the immoral woman Remove your way far from her. Do not come near the door of her house Proverbs 5:8. Any relationship where he is controlled, blackmailed, and even in danger is not of God, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self control 2 Timothy 1:7, and the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly John 10:10.

We pray together for his deliverance and protection.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the cross and for Your holy Son Jesus who suffered for all who believe. We lift up this dear man to You, Your child whom You know and love. Lord, open his eyes to see the clear unmistakable truth of who he is in Christ and reveal to him the false identity he has adopted. Break his stony heart and give him a heart of flesh that fears Your holy name, for The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom Proverbs 9:10. Give him courage to depart from evil and to turn from the evil woman and every ungodly influence that has ensnared him. Separate him from those who lead him astray, even in his own household, and set him free from every chain of control, blackmail and fear. We ask that You surround him with Your protection, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. Help him to submit to You and resist the devil so that the enemy will flee from him James 4:7, and remind him that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. Bring him to true repentance, wash him clean, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Lead him back to the narrow path that leads to life, that he may walk in holiness and in the fullness of Your plan for his life, for Your glory. In the powerful and mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede for him and to speak the truth in love if the Lord gives you opportunity, trusting that God is able to deliver and restore completely. We thank God for your faithfulness to stand in the gap for him.

We were moved by the way you prayed for this man, with both honesty and compassion. You see his struggles and his worth at the same time, and you are bringing him to the One who can truly help him.

We hear your burden for him to know who he is in Christ rather than in the identities and relationships that have pulled him away. That kind of clarity often comes slowly, as a person begins to see himself as God sees him, beloved and made for a different path, and then finds courage to make hard choices one step at a time. We will join you in asking for that light and courage for him, and for protection where you are worried for his safety.

It is kind that you stay concerned after your renting relationship has ended. A helpful next step can be to keep your care in the form of prayer and, only as he is open, gently pointing him toward a steady pastor or trusted Christian community where he can be known and supported. You cannot carry his decisions for him, and holding that boundary is itself loving.

Father, we lift this man to You in Jesus' name. Soften his heart where it has grown hard, open his eyes to Your love, and give him wisdom to step away from what harms him and toward what is good. Keep him safe, surround him with godly influences, and lead him into Your narrow path. Give our friend peace as he continues to pray and trust You with the outcome. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in it before the throne of grace, thanking God that His holy Son Jesus suffered upon the cross for all who believe, and that there is a ransom found for sinners who look to Christ alone.

You do well to pray for this man, that he may hear the voice of the Lord and be delivered, not only from danger and from the control of others, but from going down to the pit. There is a repentance which springs only from terror or from trouble, and we are warned that such repentance is superficial and skin deep, it comes up in a night and withers in a night, and a man may turn from sin for a time only to go back to it with greater appetite. Beware of resting in that. True repentance is a work of divine grace in the heart, it breaks the stony heart, it goes to the very root of the man, and it is inseparable from faith. It leads a sinner to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only, to rejoice in Jesus crucified, to love Him and to trust in His one great sacrifice as the propitiation for sin. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ needs itself to be repented of. Pray then that God will be gracious unto him and say, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.

For deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. At first sin catches a man as with a spider's web that seems easily broken, but soon its cords become strong. We are told in the Scripture that He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and this is our comfort, that those who were in darkness and slept in it may be brought into the light of God, to know they are saved and to rejoice in Christ. When Christ was bound, His people were set free. Look therefore not to forms or feelings or resolutions, but to what Christ has done. To look to Christ is to trust Him, to see sin punished upon the great Substitute and put away forever from all who trust Him.

We join you in praying that the Lord will open this man's ears and seal his instruction, that He may withdraw him from his purpose and hide pride from him, that He will give him a new heart and courage to walk in the narrow path. We pray that he will come to know his true identity in Christ, as one created and redeemed by God, and that every false identity adopted while straying after his own desires may be put off. We pray that the Lord will soften his heart to fear His holy name, to depart from evil, and to be separated from ungodly influences, including those in his household who would control or blackmail or endanger him. We do not ask God to bless any relationship that lies outside His holy design, for we hold fast that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual union and living together belong within that covenant alone, and that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. We ask instead that God will show this man the depth of His love in Christ and the exceeding sinfulness of sin, that he may be loosed from every sinful entanglement, especially from the evil alliance you mention, and be brought into purity and liberty as a new creature in Christ.

Like a careful dispenser the Lord deals out trial in weight and measure, not in anger but from covenant love, and He scourges His children that He may not slay them. Continue therefore in prayer, not as one who would bind the hands of Christ by delay or by despair, but as one who casts this soul upon Him who is mighty to save. He who conquered for His people is Almighty to deliver. May the Lord in great grace speak the word of deliverance, and may this man look and live and leap in joyful liberty, trusting only in the blood of Christ, and walking henceforth in the light.

We will remember him with you, that hearing the gospel he may believe, repenting daily and trusting daily, and that you also may be kept in peace as you commit him to Him who hears prayer when His people agree in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank you for bringing this burden to prayer and for your love for this man. We join you in asking the Father to hear us as we agree together in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and who suffered on the cross to deliver us from evil and bring us into sonship with God.

We pray for this man that the Lord would open his eyes to see the truth about who he is in Christ and to see clearly where he has strayed from the narrow path by following his own desires. We ask God to soften his stony heart and give him courage to turn from every sinful relationship and activity, and to receive the forgiveness that is available through repentance. Scripture teaches that repentance has great power to set us free even when we have fallen into the depths of wickedness, and that Christ can be formed in us again when we turn back to God with a humble and honest heart.

We do not ask God to bless what is outside His holy design, for we know that God created marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. Instead we ask God to help this man embrace his true identity as a child of God, to find his hope not in any human relationship but in faith and repentance and a life of continence before the Lord.

We pray that God would separate him from ungodly influences, including those in his household, and from any controlling, deceptive or dangerous entanglements. Where there is blackmail, manipulation or threat to his life, we ask for God's protection, and even more that God would lift him above fear by fixing his mind on the immortality of the soul and on the mercy of Christ, who does not always remove us from danger immediately but gives us strength to stand above it and to despise what threatens the body while caring for the soul.

We ask the Lord to grant him a genuine fear of His holy name, a clear understanding of sin and of the depth of God's love, and a firm resolve to depart from evil. Like Manasseh who after great wickedness was washed clean through repentance and consideration, may this man also come to condemn his own sin, seek God's mercy, and walk in newness of life.

We pray that God would draw him to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, fill him with the Spirit of adoption, and lead him step by step into purity, truth and peace for His glory. We will continue to remember him and you in prayer, trusting that God's thoughts and plans are far greater than ours and that He desires all to come to repentance and to know His grace.
