Deliverance from temptation

Your prayer carries the weight of a heart that longs for the deliverance and protection only God can give, and I want to lift these burdens with you before the throne of grace. You speak of a husband entangled in alcohol, a marriage under siege, children needing health, and unseen enemies working chaos through a family member. These are not small things, but remember: the One who stepped into Simon’s house and took a fevered woman by the hand is the same Lord who still touches broken lives today. He lifted her up, the fever fled at once, and she was restored to serve her household. That same restoring power is available for your husband’s body and soul, to break the grip of addiction, to speak life and healing over him, and to grant sleep and clarity so he can make godly decisions.

The enemy would like nothing more than to divide what God has joined into a compound unity. In marriage, two become one, a living picture of how the Lord our God is one, yet a unity that holds together in love. But this oneness is under attack, from within and without. You mentioned a sister-in-law whose actions are sowing chaos with intent to steal, kill, and destroy. Scripture reveals that those who oppose God’s purposes often see realities with sharper eyes than many believers. Jesus’ own family once thought He had lost His mind and came to pull Him away from His mission. Yet He taught us a deeper truth: the bond we share in Christ with those who do the will of the Father is stronger than natural bloodlines. That does not mean we stop praying for our relatives, we yearn for their salvation, but it does mean the spiritual hedge around your marriage is fortified when you and your husband stand together, anchored in that greater family of God. Pray that every plan meant for evil is turned on its head, that hidden works are exposed and brought to nothing, and that the one interfering will come to repentance, just as Saul met Jesus on the Damascus road.

Consider the woman with the issue of blood. Her condition grew worse over twelve years, her body weakening, her social and spiritual isolation deepening. She was ostracized, yet she pressed through the crowd with a fierce determination to touch even the hem of Jesus’ garment. Her faith was not passive; it was a desperate, reaching act. And power went out from Him, and she was made whole. Your situation may feel like a long hemorrhaging, of joy, of peace, of finances, of trust, but the same Jesus walks toward your house. Do not stop pressing in. The miracle of restoration He works can restore the years the locusts have eaten, rebuilding intimacy, communication, and unity between you and your husband. He is the Goel, the Kinsman-Redeemer, who takes our poverty and covers our shame, raising up a lineage of blessing from what seemed barren ground.

Passover reminds us that deliverance comes through a lamb, the Lamb of God whose blood marks the doorposts of our lives. When we plead that blood over our family, over your husband, over your two precious daughters, over your home, we declare that the destroyer has no claim there. The blood speaks a better word than any accusation the enemy whispers. It is your shield against seen and unseen danger, your hedge that angels honor as they encamp around you. And just as a man who sank deep into crime and rebellion, a man who weighed ### pounds of worldly ruin and was transformed by Christ until his own family thought him mad, your husband can be delivered. No pit is too deep for the strong arm of the Lord. He breaks chains, silences the slanderer, and turns a heart of stone to a heart of flesh.

So stand firm in the unity of the Spirit. The family of God surrounds you, closer than any blood relative who works against God’s design. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts as you trust Him to expose what is hidden and disgrace the works of darkness. Pray together as one, and watch Him multiply what was stolen into overflowing blessing, for His glory. May He hold you and your husband in perfect love that casts out fear, heal every body in your household, and ordain your steps according to His will. He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the sacred privilege of standing in prayer with you for your family, your marriage, and your husband’s deliverance. It has been our honor to lift up these heavy burdens before the Lord, asking Him to build a hedge of protection around your home, to break every chain of temptation, and to surround you with His holy angels.

We have prayed fervently for your husband’s freedom from the grip of alcohol, that God would intervene speedily and restore his health, his mind, and his spirit. We asked the Lord to grant him restful sleep, wisdom in decision-making, and a heart fully surrendered to His will—for his life, your marriage, and your family’s future. We have also cried out for godly unity, love, and strength to bind you and your husband together, and for your children to walk in perfect health, joy, and wholeness according to God’s perfect plan.

With boldness, we have petitioned the Lord to expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy—seen and unseen—that seeks to bring harm to your marriage and family. We prayed that household enemies would be brought to light, their plans would be disgraced, and every evil intent would be turned around for God’s glory. We asked the Lord to soften hearts, even those of opposition, that repentance and restoration would come in His perfect timing.

We have also lifted up your daughters, asking God to cover them with His joy, protection, and perfect health. We prayed for the restoration of marital joy, peace, and intimacy in your home, and for the Lord to work miracles in your finances, healing what has been broken and multiplying His blessings beyond measure. We asked that love, communication, and trust would be renewed between you and your husband, and that God’s order and will would prevail in every area of your lives.

If the Lord has answered any of these prayers, we rejoice with you and invite you to share a praise report so that we may celebrate His goodness together. If you are still waiting on the manifestation of His promises, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to stand with you in prayer. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s, and we believe He is fighting on your behalf.

May God’s grace, mercy, and peace continue to rest upon you, your husband, and your children as you press into Him. May His presence go before you, His angels encamp around you, and His glory shine brightly over your home. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
