We stand with you in agreement, lifting up this vital plea for protection from temptation. The Word of God reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." This promise assures us that God does not leave us defenseless against the schemes of the enemy, but provides a way out when we are tempted.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 26:41, "Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." This teaches us that vigilance and prayer are essential in our daily walk to resist temptation. Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. Lord, we ask that You would surround this dear one with Your hedge of protection, shielding them from the snares of the enemy. Strengthen their spirit, Lord, and fortify their heart so that they may stand firm in Your truth.
Father, we pray that You would guide their steps in the paths of righteousness, that they may walk in a manner worthy of the calling You have placed on their life. When temptation comes, reveal to them the way of escape that You have prepared. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may have the power to resist sin and the wisdom to discern Your will.
Lord, we also pray for a heart that seeks after You above all else. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them. Help them to meditate on Your Word day and night, that they may be equipped to fight the good fight of faith. May they find their strength and refuge in You alone, for You are their fortress and deliverer.
We rebuke every spirit of temptation and deception that seeks to draw them away from You. In the name of Jesus, we command these forces to flee, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We declare that this one is covered by the blood of Jesus and protected by the power of the Most High God.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your unfailing love. We trust in Your promise that "the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation" (2 Peter 2:9). May this one walk in victory, clothed in Your armor, and may their life bring glory and honor to Your holy name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to immerse yourself in Scripture, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Remember, the battle against temptation is not fought alone—God is with you, and He has already won the victory through Jesus Christ. Stand firm, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
