Deliverance from Demonic Oppression

Thruirsarhold

Disciple of Prayer
I have been demonically oppressed all my life I now realized. I had sin which I could not repent of because I could not accept it as sin. I lost my job and am now unemployed with no real hope of finding employment as a ###. God has given me several dreams of working again but it seems impossible. I was cleansed of demons which I did not even realize I had probably all my life. I was told not to take medication for sleep but I disobeyed out of weakness. Now I am addicted. The demons have returned in deadly force. My every night of sleep is a nightmare with vile images, hopeless messages. One morning I awoke to the word cursed. Then I had two dreams in the same night that I was beyond redemption. I asked God to show me he was my good father. My dad had a dream that very night that he was shopping with me for new clothes at ### for my birthday. I ask for prayers that God will free me from these demonic presences, that he will clothe me with righteousness like a good father and that I will be freed from this sleeping pill addiction.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer and standing with you in spiritual warfare. The battle you describe is real, and we do not take it lightly. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every lying spirit that whispers you are beyond redemption, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). The dreams of hopelessness are not from God, who gives dreams of hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). The word "cursed" you awoke to is a lie, Christ became a curse for you so that you might receive the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14).

Your father’s dream of shopping for new clothes is a beautiful picture of your Heavenly Father’s love. In Zechariah 3:4, the Lord says, “Take the filthy garments off of him,” and to Joshua, “See, I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” This is what God is doing for you, removing the old and clothing you in righteousness. The enemy wants you to believe you are too far gone, but God is saying, “You are my beloved child, and I am dressing you in my glory.”

We must address the sin that gave the enemy a foothold in your life. Unrepentant sin opens doors to demonic oppression, but true repentance brings freedom. If there is any area where you have justified sin or refused to surrender it to God, now is the time to lay it down. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), but we must walk in the light as He is in the light. The addiction to sleeping pills is a stronghold, but we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You are not weak, you are a warrior in Christ, and He will break every chain.

We also want to gently remind you that deliverance is not a one-time event but a lifestyle of walking in holiness and dependence on the Holy Spirit. The demons may have returned because of disobedience, but they have no legal right to stay. You have been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus, and you belong to Him (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We command every demonic spirit oppressing you to leave now in the name of Jesus. The Lord rebuke you, Satan, and all your forces (Jude 1:9). We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your sleep, your dreams, and your body. Every assignment of the enemy against you is canceled in Jesus’ name.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, standing in the gap and declaring Your victory over his life. Lord, You are the God who delivers, the God who heals, and the God who restores. We ask that You would break every chain of demonic oppression and addiction. Send Your angels to encamp around him and protect him from the enemy’s attacks. Father, we ask that You would clothe him in Your righteousness, just as You promised. Remove every filthy garment of shame, guilt, and condemnation, and dress him in the robes of Your salvation.

Lord, we pray for his sleep. Let Your peace guard his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Replace every nightmare with dreams from You, dreams of hope, purpose, and restoration. We declare that he will sleep in peace and wake up refreshed, knowing that You are his Good Father. Break the power of addiction over his life. Strengthen him to resist the enemy’s temptations and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may have the power to overcome every struggle.

Father, we ask that You would open doors of employment for him. You are the God who provides, and we trust that You have a plan for his life. Let him see the dreams You have given him as promises of what is to come. Restore his hope and renew his strength. Remind him daily that he is not cursed but blessed in Christ Jesus.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. We declare that our brother is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that demons tremble at, the name that brings salvation and deliverance. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. You are not defined by your past, your struggles, or the enemy’s lies. You are a child of the Most High God, and He is fighting for you. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Renounce any sin that has given the enemy access to your life, and fill your mind with God’s Word. The psalmist says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). Let Scripture be your guide and your weapon against the enemy’s attacks.

If you have not already, consider fasting as a way to break the strongholds in your life. Jesus said that some demons only come out by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). Seek the Lord with all your heart, and He will be found by you (Jeremiah 29:13). You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, and do not lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming.

I pray that this person stops getting tormented by demonic forces and is freed from sin and is filled with peace and joy in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. If you haven't surrendered to Jesus yet and claimed his gift of forgiveness I highly urge you to. Now, for the sleep medication. If you think God (I'm just guessing) told you to not have it then that was probably a demonic spirit. Read the parable of the drowning man.

We can only imagine how exhausting and frightening it must be to face such oppressive nightmares night after night, while also carrying the weight of unemployment and the grip of a sleeping pill dependency. It takes real courage to name these things and reach out for prayer.

In the middle of all this, we noticed the dream your ### had, shopping with you for new clothes, for your birthday. That seems like a tender glimpse of the good Father you’ve been asking to see. You asked God to show you He is your good Father, and that very night your earthly ### dreamed of clothing you. We see that as a quiet reassurance that God is not distant, and He has not abandoned you. The clothing speaks of dignity, a fresh start, righteousness that is a gift, not something you achieve by getting everything right.

When we battle addiction, especially to something we once thought we needed just to survive the night, it’s easy to feel like a failure for taking the medicine at all. But addiction is complex, it’s not just a spiritual weakness, and it’s not simply a matter of trying harder. Your body may now depend on the substance, and coming off it suddenly can be dangerous. We’d gently encourage you to speak with a doctor or a clinic that understands medication dependency. They can help you step down safely, and that’s not a lack of faith, it’s wise stewardship of the body God gave you.

We’re praying with you, not just for deliverance from the spiritual darkness, but for steady, day-by-day freedom. God can use safe medical support, the prayers of others, and your own small steps of trust to bring you through.

Father, we lift up this one who feels trapped and condemned. Quiet the voices that speak hopelessness and lies. In Jesus’ name, we ask you to break every chain of demonic oppression and silence the nightmares. Free him from the power of addiction, and give him wisdom and courage to seek the help he needs. Clothe him with your righteousness, and let him truly know you as the good Father who runs to welcome his child home. Amen.

The storm in which you find yourself is not a sign that God has abandoned you, but rather that the enemy rages because he sees a soul seeking the light. These terrors of the night, these whispers of being cursed and past hope, are the fiery darts of that old serpent who was a liar from the beginning and the father of it. He sets himself to blacken your thoughts of the Father, to make you believe that the God who gave His Son to bleed and die for sinners has now shut up His bowels of mercy. But what saith the Scripture? “I have found a ransom.” Mark that word: found, not hoped for, not possibly provided if you mend yourself, but a full, perfect, and sufficient ransom already laid down. The pit deserved is the pit delivered, for Christ went down into the depths for you. He cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” that you might never know what it is to be truly forsaken. To dream you are beyond redemption is to make God a liar, to call the cross a failure, and to trample on the precious blood that speaks better things than that of Abel. Turn your gaze from the darkness within and behold the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. He is not a weak Saviour who saves only to a point and then drops His redeemed when the current runs strong. He saves to the uttermost, and that means from the sleeping pill, from the nightmare, from the returning legion, and from the very root of the sin you could not name. Your deliverance will not come by a white-knuckled grip on your own resolves; it will come as you cease from the vain effort to beat back the sea and instead fly to the Rock that is higher than you.

You speak of being told not to take medication, and in your frailty you disobeyed, and now find yourself in a double chain. This is the very reason Christ came, not for the whole, but for the sick. Your weakness is the stage upon which the power of God will display itself. Do you think He who knew your frame, who remembers that you are dust, will cast you out because you stumbled in a dark hour? The father did not cast out the prodigal when he returned covered in the filth of the far country; he fell on his neck and kissed him. Your earthly father’s dream of clothing you with new garments at the store is a mercy I bid you lay hold of with both hands. It is your heavenly Father saying, “I will clothe you with the garments of salvation, I will cover you with the robe of righteousness.” Righteousness is not a thing you muster; it is a gift woven on the loom of Calvary. When the justice of God looks upon you, it does not seek perfection in your own heart; it is satisfied with the perfection of Christ. That very righteousness which once you feared is now engaged to save you, for Jesus bore its thunder in your place. What, then, would you do? Will you stay in the prison when the door stands open? The way out is not to fight the demons in your own strength, that is to give them the advantage, but to hide yourself in the cleft of the rock, to plead the merits of Jesus, and to rest in the word of a God who cannot lie. He has said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” These dreams of working again, of being clothed, are tokens that He has not done with you. They are the spurs of hope to make you cling to the promise that He who began a good work will complete it. But do not look at the promise as if its fulfillment depended on the absence of the enemy; the enemy is already a vanquished foe. Christ has led captivity captive, and though the conflict seems terrible, the victory is as sure as the throne of God.

Your addiction, your nightmares, your very sense of uncleanness, these are the chariots of Egypt that the Lord shall overthrow. He does not bring His people out of bondage by half-measures. “Not a hoof shall be left behind.” He will deliver you, soul and body, from the house of bondage, and you shall go forth with silver and gold of spiritual experience, as one who can say, “The Lord brought me forth.” Only let your will bow to His will, not by a slavish dread, but by seeing that His will is your greatest good. The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is your Father, if indeed you have fled to Jesus, and He is a better Father than any earthly father can conceive. Did your own father’s dream stir your heart? Then how much more shall the love of God, who spared not His own Son, overwhelm you with assurance! He is faithful to His Son’s purchase, and the honor of His name is at stake in your salvation. He will not permit the evil one to pluck a jewel from His crown. Cast yourself, then, upon this gracious God, not in a prayer said once and the battle over, but in an abiding reliance that says, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” Go to your bed tonight not depending on the pill, which, mark you, is a crutch that will not hold, but committing yourself into the hands of Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps. If the dark visions swarm, set your mind on the wounds of Christ, on His resurrection triumph, and on the truth that you are hidden with Christ in God. They cannot touch the soul that clings to the horn of the altar. And as for the affliction of lost work, remember that man does not live by bread alone, and that your Shepherd will lead you into green pastures. He who gave you dreams of employment will fulfill them in due season; until then, His grace shall be sufficient. The desert path is often the direct road to Canaan. Let the fear be gone, for the ransom is found, the Redeemer lives, and the Father is your Father. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The terrors that come upon you in the night and the word "cursed" that echoed in your waking ear are the hissing of the serpent, who seeks to drown you in despair. Do not believe his lies. There is no sin so great that the Blood of Christ cannot wash it away, and no soul that comes to Him in true repentance is ever turned aside. When you dream that you are beyond redemption, that is the enemy's last weapon against a conscience that has finally admitted its sickness. God allowed you to see the hidden demons and the sin you could not accept, precisely so that you might flee to the Physician. That your father dreamed of buying you new clothes at a store called "Second Chance" is no accident: the Father of mercies is showing you that He intends to strip off your filthy rags and clothe you with the righteousness that comes by faith.

But you must understand what this clothing is. You ask to be clothed with righteousness, yet you still cling to the hope that you might stand before God by your own efforts. Hear what Paul says: he was blameless according to the Law, yet he called himself the chief of sinners when he compared that legal righteousness to the glorious righteousness God gives in Christ. The Gentiles who never chased after righteousness attained it because they seized it by faith, while Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, stumbled over the stumbling stone. True righteousness is not a garment you weave from your own struggles, but the robe Christ puts on you in baptism, the new self created in holiness of truth. This is the righteousness of which Melchizedek was the shadow: King of Righteousness and King of Peace. He alone can make you righteous and give you the peace you crave.

Your disobedience in taking the ### did indeed open a door. Willful sin is a self-chosen madness that makes the mouth and eyes into sewers and invites the demons to return with seven others worse than themselves. But do not despair even here. Despair is a deeper pit than the sin itself. You sinned out of weakness, not out of contempt for God. Now the ### has become a chain you cannot break; that is all the more reason to cry out to the One who breaks every chain. Repent with tears, confess your weakness to those in the church who can pray over you and help you, and then resist the craving with a firm will, even if your body screams for the ###. God does not command impossibilities; He will supply the strength if you will supply the decision.

The nightmares and vile images are not a sign that you are damned, but that the demons are enraged because they are losing their prey. They attack you in sleep because when you are awake you are beginning to turn toward God. Do not fear them. The righteous judgment of God which Paul calls a "token" will bring you deliverance and them punishment. As you endure this trial, your patient faith is proof that God counts you worthy of His kingdom. When the demons whisper that you are cursed, answer them with the truth: "Christ redeemed me from the curse by becoming a curse for me."

Yet do not seek only deliverance from torment. Seek the fruits of righteousness that make your calling sure. You mourn your unemployment, and this is natural, but consider that God may be using this time of stillness to wean you from the world and teach you to depend on Him alone. Was it not in the wilderness that Israel learned to live on manna? He who gave you dreams of working again is not mocking you; He will fulfill His promise in His time. But first He wants to increase in you the spiritual harvest that comes from almsgiving and mercy. Even now, though your purse is thin, you can give of your time, your prayer, your kindness. "He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor; his righteousness abides forever." This is the true treasure that no demon can touch.

Finally, grow up from milk to solid food. You have been a babe long enough, tossed about by every wind, unskilled in the word of righteousness that enables a perfect life. The perfect life is not one without falls, but one that clings to Christ in every fall, that repents immediately and rises again, that trusts not in its own grip on God but in God's grip on it. The dream of new clothing is God's promise: He will dress you for the wedding feast. Run to confession, run to the Eucharist, run to the prayers of the faithful, and do not delay. The King of Peace is waiting to speak peace to your storm. Stand fast, and you will see the demons flee, the ### broken, and the righteousness of Christ shining in your heart like the dawn.
