We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in fervent prayer. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We recognize that the struggles and misfortunes you are facing may indeed have spiritual roots, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved except the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are cleansed from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, repent of any sins, and invite Him into your heart. This is the first and most crucial step in breaking any chains of darkness that may be affecting your family.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine protection and intervention. Lord, we rebuke every evil spirit, every principality, and every power of darkness that is seeking to bring harm, misfortune, or bad luck to this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You send Your holy angels to encamp around this family, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We plead the blood of Jesus over each member of this family, covering them from head to toe. We break every curse, every spell, and every generational bondage that has been passed down through the bloodline. In the name of Jesus, we command every evil spirit to flee and never return.

Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around this family, that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We ask that You fill their home with Your presence, Your peace, and Your love. Let Your light shine so brightly in their lives that all darkness is dispelled.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this family, that they may recognize any areas in their lives that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Help them to walk in righteousness, to flee from sin, and to live lives that are pleasing to You. Father, we ask that You bring healing and restoration to every broken relationship within this family. Let Your love bind them together in perfect unity.

We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no evil shall touch them. We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we trust in Your unfailing love and protection. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, to put on the full armor of God daily, and to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from you (James 4:7). Surround yourselves with fellow believers who can pray with you and support you in your spiritual journey. Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and do not grow weary or lose heart. The victory is already won through Christ our Lord.

We hear the weight in your words, the concern for your family and the longing for safety and relief from whatever feels oppressive. It's not superstitious to sense that something is wrong and to cry out to God about it. The spiritual realm is real, and the enemy does seek to bring harm and fear. But we can rest in this: Jesus has already defeated every evil power through the cross, and He gives us His authority to stand firm.

One thing that may help is to invite a few mature believers you trust to come and pray with you right in your home. Not as a dramatic ritual, but simply to agree together in Jesus’ name that no darkness has any place there. You don’t need to confront anything yourself, Christ is your shield. As you gather, you might read scripture aloud, sing a few worship songs, and prayerfully dedicate each room to the Lord. Afterward, keep filling your home and your own mind with things that honor Him. Even small steps, playing worship music while you cook, placing a verse on the fridge, can shift the atmosphere and remind your family of God’s constant presence.

We also want to encourage you not to fixate on the exact nature of the trouble. Sometimes the enemy gains a foothold through unforgiveness, long-held fears, or forgotten dabbling in things that open doors. If anything like that comes to mind, bring it quietly to the Lord in confession and receive His cleansing. But don’t dwell there; lift your eyes to the One who has already won your freedom.

Let’s pray:

Father, we bring this family before You now. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command any evil influence to leave and to stay away permanently. Cover them with Your protection, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Send Your angels to guard each member, and let Your peace flood their home. Where there has been fear, replace it with a deep awareness of Your love. Give them wisdom to walk in Your ways and fill every room with Your light. We thank You that You are their refuge and their deliverer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Such language as “bad luck” must be examined in the light of Scripture. There is no wheel of fortune spinning out dark patterns over a household; there is only the throne of the Almighty, from which nothing falls by accident. All your ills lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. If trouble visits your family, it is not a lurking curse that defies His will, but rather the Lord’s own work, for He has said, “The Lord has chastened me sorely.” That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a father’s hand, and this is a gladsome fact which makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. Be glad, then, that since the Lord chastens you, He has not yielded you up to your enemy’s power.

Your cry is for safety and deliverance, and you do well to direct it to the Throne of Grace. Yet know this: deliverance from the power of sin and the oppression of darkness is solely the work of God. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. If ever a soul is set free from the snares that entangle a family, whether despondency, discord, or the haunting shadow of old sins, it must be eternally true that the Lord Himself brought you forth. Look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone. What evil can stand when He says, “Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom”? That ransom is Christ Jesus; His precious blood breaks every bond and silences every accusation.

Do not give way to the thought that some vague, hereditary mischief holds supremacy. The Evil One may shoot his arrows, but greater is He that is in you. Overcome evil with good. If any member of your family yet walks in darkness, remember that the method of returning good for evil is God-like. It has sometime happened that evil men are conquered and converted by seeing the patient Christian, by God’s grace, return blessing for cursing.

When you pray, let it be with Jacob’s holy resolve. Be definite and clear. Cry, “O God, deliver me, I pray Thee, from this very trouble that breaks our peace.” Use the argument of the Covenant, for you come to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who keeps His promises. Your self-conceit would tear the chariot wheels from your prayer, but humble faith gives it wings. Trust that the unutterable groanings of your heart are heard.

Go now, and declare the works of the Lord. Live, and live in such prayerful dependence that every foe flees, not because you are strong, but because the Lord your Deliverer fights for you.

You speak of evil on your family, of bad luck. But what is this evil? The Apostle calls this present world evil not because the days themselves are wicked, but because the deeds done in them are. The true evil is sin, the love of many waxing cold, covenant-breaking, being without natural affection. Do not look for some shadowy curse to be lifted off; the only evil that can truly harm you is the one that separates you from God. Christ gave Himself for our sins precisely that He might deliver us out of this present evil world, out of its principles and wickedness. If you and your family are in Him, you have already been delivered from the ultimate evil.

See how God orders things. Joseph’s mistress sought his ruin, yet through that very plot God placed him in safety. His brothers sold him into slavery, yet that act freed him from daily envy and brought him to Egypt for a mighty deliverance. What you call bad luck may be the very thing by which God benefits you, turning dishonor into security, and using the schemes of the wicked for the salvation of the righteous. Our safety does not consist in escaping every difficult circumstance, but in enduring them with a pure conscience. For our glorying is this: the testimony of our conscience, that we suffer not for evil-doing but for what is well-pleasing to God. If your conscience is clean, you need not fear; he who sees the light of this world is in safety, and much more he who clings to Christ.

Therefore, instead of praying primarily for an external evil to be removed as if by magic, pray that every evil work, every sin, be driven from your household. The Lord delivered Paul from the lion’s mouth, and Paul trusted He would deliver him from every evil work, which is the greater deliverance. The devil rules only over those who give themselves up to him; he has nothing in Christ, and if you have put on Christ, his hold is broken. I will pray for your safety, yes, but let it be the safety of a steadfast soul that glorifies God in affliction. The body may be in peril, but the soul kept from sin is secure. Do good to all, show kindness even to the unthankful, and let the love that has grown cold be rekindled by the Spirit of adoption you have received. That is freedom, not from trouble, but from the world’s true darkness.

Your request for prayer reaches deep into a reality Scripture never shies away from: evil is real, it seeks to destroy families, and it often feels like a weight stacked upon a household. But the first step toward true safety and lasting relief is not simply asking for something to be removed from you; it is learning to hate what God hates. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, and that hatred is the very beginning of wisdom. It means refusing to tolerate or flirt with anything that tears down what God loves. So as I pray with you, I also ask you to examine: Is there a place in your own life or home where evil has been allowed room, perhaps unconfessed sin, bitterness, or a compromise that grieves the Spirit? God does not let His children get away with evil indefinitely; He disciplines those He loves. That is mercy, not misfortune.

What you call “bad luck” is often the fruit of living in a fallen world, but sometimes it is the merciful hand of God exposing what must be turned away from. He calls us to depart from evil, and the promise attached is health to our body and marrow to our bones. Do not think of this as some magic charm or curse placed upon your family. The Scriptures warn against an eye that looks toward evil and superstitious fears of a hex. No weapon formed against you shall prosper; that is your heritage as one who trusts in the Lord. Your safety is not in a ritual of removal but in a Person. When evil tidings come, the righteous are not shaken because their confidence rests in the God who is in control, even when evil seems to be winning.

Remember the story of Joseph. His brothers intended evil against him, but God meant it for good, to preserve a whole family through famine. What others meant for destruction, God wove into redemption. That same sovereign hand is over your household right now. The deepest prayer, then, is not simply “take it away” but “turn every heart in this family from its own evil way, and use what was meant for harm for our ultimate good and Your glory.”

I am praying for a shield around you and every member of your family. I pray that any hidden works of darkness would be exposed and replaced with a hunger for righteousness. I pray that you would know the peace that passes understanding even in the middle of uncertain news. And I pray that if any in your bloodline are far from God, the ties that now feel strained would one day be bound up in the stronger, deeper bonds of God’s own household, where Christ is the center.

Keep your tongue from speaking deceit and evil, turn away from what is wrong, and pursue peace. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to your cry. But His face is against those who do evil. Let that be a comfort, not a terror: you are safe under His gaze, not because you are perfect, but because you have fled to Jesus Christ. Stand fast in that.
