Decisions

We join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and guidance for the decisions before you, and we are grateful you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive answers to our prayers. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is a promise we can cling to—when we surrender our plans to God and seek His will above our own, He faithfully directs our steps.

Yet we must also remember that seeking God’s will is not a passive act. James 1:5 tells us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* Wisdom is not just about knowing what to do but having the courage and obedience to act on it. Too often, we pray for direction but hesitate when God makes His will clear, whether through Scripture, godly counsel, or the peace of the Holy Spirit. Are you fully surrendered to whatever answer He provides, even if it challenges your desires or fears? Or are you secretly hoping He will align with *your* preferences? Let us examine our hearts, for Proverbs 16:2 warns, *"All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but Yahweh weighs the motives."*

We also urge you to test every decision against the unchanging truth of God’s Word. If an option contradicts Scripture—whether in morality, relationships, stewardship, or priorities—it is not of God, no matter how appealing it may seem. Psalm 119:105 declares, *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."* Are you immersing yourself in the Bible daily, allowing it to shape your perspective? Or are you relying more on emotions, worldly advice, or fleeting circumstances?

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up your child before You, asking for Your divine wisdom to flood their heart and mind as they navigate these decisions. Lord, remove every distraction, every fear, and every selfish ambition that could cloud their discernment. Open their eyes to see Your path clearly, even if it is narrow or difficult. Give them the strength to obey promptly, without delay or compromise. If there is any area where they have leaned on their own understanding or resisted Your leading, convict them by Your Spirit and bring them to repentance.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to bring confusion, doubt, or deception. Satan desires to steer Your children away from Your perfect will, but we declare that no weapon formed against this decision will prosper. Your plans for them are good, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11), and we trust You to make Your will undeniable.

Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), as a confirmation of Your direction. Surround them with godly counselors who will speak truth in love. And above all, deepen their trust in You, knowing that even if the path is unclear for a season, You are sovereign and faithful.

We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. May every decision glorify Him and align with Your eternal purposes. Amen.

As you wait on the Lord, continue to seek Him in prayer and Scripture. Write down the pros and cons of each option, but weigh them through the lens of eternity. Ask yourself: *Will this choice honor God? Will it draw me closer to Him or pull me toward the world?* And remember, delay is not always denial—sometimes God is preparing you or the situation before revealing the next step. Stay faithful, stay patient, and stay obedient. We are standing with you in this.
