Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for ### & ### to be released from the grips of a bi-polar, narcissist who has manipulated them to be quiet about the isolated environment he has inflicted. He has rejected and renounced any involvement with God and refuses to repent for his abuses. Please help us Jesus.

We hear the heaviness of your heart and we join with you in crying out to our Lord for deliverance after these decades of abuse, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that captives are set free.

The isolation, manipulation, and control you describe grieves the heart of God, for His design for relationships and for family is love that protects, honors, and cherishes, not oppression that silences and wounds. The Word tells us, Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them. Colossians 3:19 and Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it. Ephesians 5:25. What you have described is the opposite of Christlike love, it is harshness and domination, and we rebuke that pattern of abuse and the demand for silence about it. God does not call His children to suffer in hidden isolation, but to walk in light and truth and community. We also hear that this man has rejected and renounced God and refuses to repent, and we must speak plainly that this is a most dangerous and hard-hearted place to be, for unless we confess our sins He cannot forgive us, as it is written, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. To refuse repentance is to remain under judgment, and we pray that the Lord would bring deep conviction upon him, that he would yet turn from his sin before it is too late.

We are praying for the two precious ones you mentioned who have been held in the grip of this manipulation and isolated environment. We pray that the Lord Himself would be their refuge and their deliverer, for we know that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 and The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17. We pray that God would break the power of fear and control that has kept them quiet, and give them courage and a clear path to speak the truth safely and to seek godly help. We pray that He would surround them with wise, biblically grounded counsel, faithful pastors, counselors, and trusted believers who will not minimize the abuse but will walk with them toward safety and healing, and where there is danger or illegality, we encourage involving appropriate authorities for protection, for the Lord establishes and guards His people from the evil one. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3.

We also lift up you who are interceding, that you would be strengthened and not grow weary, remembering the promise, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 and I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91:2.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up these two dear ones who have endured decades of abuse and isolation. Lord, You see what has been done in secret, You hear every cry that has been silenced, and we ask You to rend the veil of manipulation and set them free. Break the chains of fear and control, open a door of escape and safety, and place around them a hedge of protection and a community of godly support who will speak truth and love. Heal their broken hearts, restore what has been stolen, and give them voices to speak without shame, for You desire truth in our innermost being. We ask You to work in the heart of the one who has inflicted this harm and who has turned his back on You, Lord, bring him to the end of himself, convict him of his sin, and grant him repentance if it is still possible, that he might confess and turn from his wicked way. But if he continues to refuse You, we ask for Your righteous justice and Your restraining hand to keep these precious ones safe from further harm. Let Your perfect love cast out fear and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We trust You as our deliverer and our healer, and we ask all this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand with these loved ones, to help them stay connected to a Bible believing church family, to seek wise Christian counseling for trauma, and to develop a clear safety plan with trusted help. God does not intend for His children to remain in darkness and silence, but to be brought into light, safety, and restoration, and we will continue to contend with you in prayer until that deliverance is fully realized.

We have been holding your request with care and want to pause first for safety. If you or your loved ones are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. For free, confidential support, you can find a helpline in your country (about 130 countries) at findahelpline.com You are not alone; trained people are ready to help right now.

Carrying concern for two people you love who have lived under control and isolation for so many years is a heavy burden. We hear how much you want them to be free to speak and to be safe, and how painful it is to watch someone harden his heart toward God and refuse to acknowledge harm. It makes sense that you are crying out to Jesus for help after so long.

We encourage you not to carry this alone. It can help to talk privately with one safe, trusted person outside that isolated environment, like a pastor, counselor, or a local advocate who understands domestic violence and safety planning, and let them help you think through how best to support the two you love without increasing risk for anyone. If there are ongoing safety concerns, a professional can help assess options alongside prayer, not instead of it.

Father, we lift these two loved ones to You and ask for Your protection over them and for wisdom and courage for the one who is interceding for them. Surround this family with safe, steady support, bring light into isolation, and guard their dignity and well being. Lead each next step according to Your will and bring healing where there has been long hurt. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you for standing for justice in this terrible situation. God bless and keep you.

Your burden has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we join you in crying to Him who is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom.

We pray for those who have suffered under decades of cruelty and manipulation, that the God who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds would draw near to them in this isolated place. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least word from Christ has healing virtue in it. May He spread those healing leaves over wounded hearts, calm the bosom that has long been agitated with grief, and give joy to the troubled countenance. May He keep back their souls from the Pit and their lives from perishing, and deliver them from the power of darkness, for deliverance from the power of sin and from the hand of the oppressor is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin.

We know that affliction may come distinctly from the hand of man, through malice and unkindness, and yet not spring out of the dust without the Lord's knowledge. He sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace, and He will not suffer His own to be tried beyond what He will sanctify for their good. We ask Him to break the silence that fear has imposed, to open a door of utterance and of escape, and to bring into the light what has been hidden in darkness. We pray for wise and godly help to surround them, for protection, for counsel, for the peace that comes from being screened from inward fear and outward harm, and for courage to walk in the way of truth and safety.

We pray also for the one who has done this evil and who now renounces God and refuses to repent. No one would have thought of a way of deliverance for such a sinner if God had not thought of it, and He has found a ransom in the blood of His own Son. We do not ask God to bless sin or to prosper hardness of heart, but we ask Him to do what only His outstretched arm can do, to convict of sin, to break the stony heart, to bring to that washing which David sought when he cried, Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. If it please Him, may He bring this man to see his need of Christ, that he might yet find mercy, for with God all things are possible and He is able to save from the lowest pit.

We entreat the Lord to show that salvation is of grace alone. If deliverance comes, no flesh shall glory in His presence, but the delivered shall live to declare the works of the Lord and say, The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death. May those who have been so sorely pressed soon be able to say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will preserve them from all evil and preserve their souls, that He will heal and pardon through Jesus Christ our only hope, and that He will in His own time and way bring full deliverance, that they may go forth in peace and serve Him in newness of life.
