Beloved of All
Hi I’m deep in debt due to unjust job loss. I’m currently looking for work. I was going to file a legal action against the employer but I don’t have solid proof or the money to afford a lawyer. I documented everything but the coworkers and bosses at my former workplace all lied. I don’t have anyone who will come forth and tell the truth. None of the bystanders will do it. I ask in Jesus name for a resolution to this issue. It is causing anxiety and sleepless nights. It’s not credit card debt. I wonder when this will be resolved. I pray to the Lord in Jesus name that HE will guide me to godly, trustworthy, reputable advisors. I’ve searched for some on my own and I pray in Jesus name that he will finally provide the assistance that I need. Sometimes God timing makes me anxious. Sometimes I feel like my prayers are unanswered and that I’m being punished. I’ve done all of the striving and straining that I can do to fix things but it’s a total dead end. One person that I know needed a job and didn’t get one until after she was evicted. She still doesn’t understand. Please pray for her in Jesus name.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep distress, lifting up your burdens to the One who sees all and knows all. Your cry for justice, provision, and peace has reached His ears, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that He will act on your behalf. You have done well to seek resolution in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we find true hope and deliverance. Let us first address the weight of what you are carrying, for the Lord cares deeply about your suffering, and His Word provides both comfort and direction.

The injustice you have faced is grievous, and the betrayal of coworkers and supervisors who lied cuts deeply. It is right to desire justice, for God Himself is just and abhors deceit. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that plots wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* Your former employer’s actions—and the lies of those involved—are an affront to God’s righteousness. Yet, we are also reminded in Romans 12:19, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"* This does not mean we passively accept wrongdoing, but that we trust God to vindicate us in His perfect timing. You have done what you could by documenting the truth, and now we must entrust this into His hands.

As for the debt that has accumulated, we know this is a heavy yoke. The Bible speaks clearly about the oppression of debt and the freedom that comes from trusting in God’s provision. Proverbs 22:7 says, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* This is not God’s desire for His children. We encourage you to seek wisdom in managing what you owe, but more importantly, to cast this anxiety upon the Lord. Philippians 4:6-7 commands us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Your sleepless nights and gnawing worry are signals to surrender this burden anew to Him. He is not unaware of your need, nor is He withholding good from you. Psalm 34:15 assures us, *"Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry."*

You mentioned feeling as though you are being punished or that your prayers are unanswered. Let us gently but firmly rebuke this lie. God does not delight in your suffering, nor does He withhold good things from those who walk uprightly. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:9-11, *"Or who is there among you, who if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"* The delay you experience is not rejection—it is preparation. God is working behind the scenes in ways we cannot see, aligning circumstances, softening hearts, and making a way where there seems to be none. His timing is perfect, even when it feels unbearable to us. Remember Joseph, who was sold into slavery and falsely imprisoned before God exalted him to save many lives (Genesis 50:20). Remember David, anointed as king yet hunted by Saul for years before taking the throne. Their waiting was not in vain, and neither is yours.

We also lift up the friend you mentioned, who faced eviction before receiving employment. It is hard to understand why God allows such trials, but we know that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Sometimes He permits us to reach the end of our own strength so that we might cling more tightly to Him. We pray that she, too, will find comfort in the Lord’s sovereignty and that her faith will be strengthened through this fire.

Now, let us pray together for you:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is weary, anxious, and burdened by the weight of injustice and debt. Lord, You see the lies that were told, the wages that were stolen, and the suffering that has followed. We ask You to rise up as the God of justice and make wrong things right. Expose the truth, Lord, and bring to light what has been hidden in darkness. If there is a way for our brother/sister to be vindicated, open the doors no man can shut. If legal action is not the path, provide divine wisdom and discernment to know the next step. Father, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that has taken hold. Replace it with Your perfect peace, which guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. You have not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Speak to the sleepless nights and calm the racing thoughts. Remind Your child that You are their Provider, their Defender, and their Shepherd.

Lord, we ask for godly, trustworthy advisors to come alongside—men and women of integrity who will offer wise counsel and practical help. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You are able to provide supernaturally. We pray for favor in the job search, for doors to open that no man can close, and for financial breakthrough that can only be attributed to Your hand. Help our brother/sister to steward well what You provide, and give them creativity and diligence in managing their resources.

Father, we also lift up the sense of punishment that has taken root. Uproot this lie, Lord, and replace it with the truth of Your love and faithfulness. You are not a God who punishes His children capriciously—You discipline those You love (Hebrews 12:6), but even in discipline, Your heart is for our good. Restore hope where it has faded. Renew strength where there is weariness. Let Your child feel Your presence tangibly in this season.

We pray for the friend who is struggling to understand Your ways. Comfort her, Lord, and provide for her needs. Open her eyes to see Your hand at work, even in the waiting.

Finally, we declare that this season of lack and injustice will testify to Your goodness. What the enemy meant for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). We trust You, Lord, and we wait expectantly for Your deliverance. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."*

Brother/sister, we urge you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. The waiting is hard, but He is with you in it. Do not lose heart. Keep documenting, keep applying for jobs, keep stewarding what you have—but above all, keep trusting. God is not finished writing your story. We also encourage you to seek out a local church body where you can find support, accountability, and practical help. You were not meant to walk this road alone.

Lastly, we leave you with this promise from Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Cling to this truth. He is with you. He will help you. The breakthrough is coming.

Dear friend, we stand with you in your struggle, just as you stand in Jesus' name.
