We have heard your request and we join you in prayer that you will wake to good news, and we keep you in our prayers with thanksgiving.
We understand the longing to wake and find that God has moved, that a burden has been lifted, and that joy has come with the morning. Scripture reminds us of this very hope, for his anger is but for a moment, his favor is for a lifetime, weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning, Psalm 30:5. We are also reminded that it is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail, they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness, Lamentations 3:22-23. Each morning is a gift of fresh mercy, and we pray that you will experience that mercy as tangible good news.
We want to gently share something important with you because your request was addressed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus. We come to the Father only through Jesus, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. The greatest good news we could ever wake up to is the good news of the gospel, that Jesus died for our sins and rose again so that all who believe in Him will have eternal life and peace with God. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today, to confess your sins and believe in Him.
We also encourage you not to be anxious while you wait, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28. Even if the news you hope for does not come in the way or timing you expect, God is still working for your good.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to you in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the desire of this heart to wake to good news and the reasons for this longing. We ask according to your will that you would grant encouragement and let joy come in the morning. Let your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that you would provide what is truly needed, that you would draw this one closer to yourself, and that whatever news comes, it would be used to strengthen faith and to bring glory to you. Help us to trust in your unfailing love and to rest in the ultimate good news of salvation through Jesus. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, amen.

Your longing to wake to good news is one which the heart of God fully understands, for He has sent good news from a far country which is as cold waters to a thirsty soul.
The best of all good news is this, that your Father thinks of you and has paved the way for you to come back to His own house and heart through Jesus Christ His Son. He came to save sinners, even the vilest of the vile, and there is hope for you in Him. If you feel poor and needy and even destitute of hope itself, yet the Lord thinks upon you. It is the privilege of a sinner to be allowed to ask for grace, and the duty of a sinner to seek mercy at the Saviour's hand.
Jesus knows every experience through which you pass, for He has passed through the same, and He is able to sympathize with you. All His power is for your protection, all His wisdom for your direction, all His tenderness for your consolation. The promise stands, they shall praise the Lord that seek Him, and that assurance ought to be very encouraging to all seekers. Acquaint now yourself with Him and be at peace. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.
I pray that the Lord will indeed cause you to awaken with comfort which you looked not for, opening fountains on the very mountain tops where you least expect them. Your prayer to wake to good news has been heard and I am joining you in prayer before the Lord.
I pray that God in His mercy will grant you comfort in the night and cause you to rise with a heart strengthened by His goodness, and that whatever news this day brings, you will see His hand working all things before you unto good. May He quiet your anxieties and refresh your soul, for He is the One who feeds us from our youth up and pours out His care upon us as from a fountain, so that we may be freed from fear and rest in His provision.
I want to encourage you also with what Scripture teaches about hope. By hope we are saved, and we wait with patience for what God has promised. Hope which is seen is not hope, and since the good things God has prepared for those who love Him are so great, we cannot receive them fully in this transitory life. He has told us of them beforehand in order to refresh our souls, to strengthen our zeal and to stir up our minds, that we may hold firm unto the end and not be grieved beyond measure at present things. The greater our trials, the greater should be the increase of our good hope, because our consolation in Christ abounds even more.
Therefore let the hope of the good things to come raise you up. Even if the morning does not bring at once what you long to hear, know that time reveals the faithfulness of God, and He who is your Master shares in your sorrows and will not leave what concerns you hidden. Continue in prayer and thanksgiving, not only for one day but for all your life, holding fast the rejoicing of your hope. I ask God to direct your steps, to give you peace as you sleep and joy as you wake, and to let you hear in His own way and time the good news that comes from His love.
May the Lord keep you, strengthen your faith, and fill you with patience and encouragement as you wait on Him.

Scripture teaches that real hope is inseparable from God Himself. Apart from Him there is no lasting hope, but when you have Him hope is enlarged and sustained. One way He does this is through His Word. The Bible says that through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures we might have hope. As you read and trust what God has said, He brings steadiness to your heart while you wait.
My prayer for you is the prayer the apostle Paul prayed, that the God of hope would fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Hope in the Bible is not just wishing. It is both desiring what God has promised and expecting Him to do it. That kind of hope keeps a person going when everything around them is failing.
You have that hope because of Jesus. Peter calls it a living hope because Jesus rose from the dead. Without the resurrection there would be no hope, but because He lives, your hope is alive and sure. Paul also calls it a blessed hope, the promise that Jesus Himself will appear again and the hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised. Those who have this hope are even called prisoners of hope, held secure by it. It purifies us and gives us an eternal perspective when present troubles feel heavy.
There were men on a storm tossed ship who had given up all hope of being saved, and Paul stood up among them and said to be of good cheer, not because the storm was small but because God was with him and His promise still stood. In the same way, even when the news you receive seems incomplete or discouraging, God is still at work for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Sometimes what looks like defeat at first is only part of the message, and the full story reveals His deliverance.
So while you wait for the good news you are hoping to wake up to, keep holding to the greatest good news of all, that God loves you, that He gave His Son for you, and that He has promised eternal life to all who trust in Christ. That hope will bring joy and then peace, even in a world full of turmoil, and it will teach you to wait with patience.
I am praying that God in His mercy will meet your present need and encourage your heart, that He will let you see His hand at work, and that whether the answer comes quickly or after a time of patient waiting, you will experience His joy and peace and abound in hope as you continue to trust Him.
