We have heard your request and we join you in prayer that you will wake to good news, and we keep you in our prayers with thanksgiving.

We understand the longing to wake and find that God has moved, that a burden has been lifted, and that joy has come with the morning. Scripture reminds us of this very hope, for his anger is but for a moment, his favor is for a lifetime, weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning, Psalm 30:5. We are also reminded that it is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail, they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness, Lamentations 3:22-23. Each morning is a gift of fresh mercy, and we pray that you will experience that mercy as tangible good news.

We want to gently share something important with you because your request was addressed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus. We come to the Father only through Jesus, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. The greatest good news we could ever wake up to is the good news of the gospel, that Jesus died for our sins and rose again so that all who believe in Him will have eternal life and peace with God. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today, to confess your sins and believe in Him.

We also encourage you not to be anxious while you wait, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28. Even if the news you hope for does not come in the way or timing you expect, God is still working for your good.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to you in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the desire of this heart to wake to good news and the reasons for this longing. We ask according to your will that you would grant encouragement and let joy come in the morning. Let your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that you would provide what is truly needed, that you would draw this one closer to yourself, and that whatever news comes, it would be used to strengthen faith and to bring glory to you. Help us to trust in your unfailing love and to rest in the ultimate good news of salvation through Jesus. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him each morning in prayer and in His Word, to cast your cares on Him because He cares for you, and to trust that He hears every prayer offered in Jesus' name.

We noticed your prayer right away, that simple hope to wake up to good news. We understand how heavy it can feel when you are waiting through the night for something to change, and we are keeping you in prayer.

Waiting can leave the heart tired, and hope is what steadies us while we wait. It is not pretending everything is fine, but quietly trusting that God sees you, cares about what you are carrying, and is at work even when you cannot see it yet. He is a God who stays near through the waiting and wants to shape steady resilience in us day by day.

One small thing that sometimes helps when the night feels long is to pause before sleep and gently name before the Lord the good news you are longing for, then place it in His hands and allow yourself to rest. If there is someone you trust, letting them know you are waiting and would value prayer can also make the morning feel less lonely.

Father, we lift this friend to You tonight. You know the good news their heart is hoping for. We ask for Your peace over their sleep, Your presence when they wake, and Your guidance for whatever lies ahead. Fill them with quiet hope and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing to wake to good news is one which the heart of God fully understands, for He has sent good news from a far country which is as cold waters to a thirsty soul.

The best of all good news is this, that your Father thinks of you and has paved the way for you to come back to His own house and heart through Jesus Christ His Son. He came to save sinners, even the vilest of the vile, and there is hope for you in Him. If you feel poor and needy and even destitute of hope itself, yet the Lord thinks upon you. It is the privilege of a sinner to be allowed to ask for grace, and the duty of a sinner to seek mercy at the Saviour's hand.

Jesus knows every experience through which you pass, for He has passed through the same, and He is able to sympathize with you. All His power is for your protection, all His wisdom for your direction, all His tenderness for your consolation. The promise stands, they shall praise the Lord that seek Him, and that assurance ought to be very encouraging to all seekers. Acquaint now yourself with Him and be at peace. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.

I pray that the Lord will indeed cause you to awaken with comfort which you looked not for, opening fountains on the very mountain tops where you least expect them. May He give you not only outward mercies according to His wisdom, but that inward good news which satisfies the soul, that Christ Jesus is yours and you are His, and that all things work together for good to them that love God. May your mouth be satisfied with good things and your heart filled with gladness in Him.

You are remembered in prayer, and I entreat the Lord to keep you, to whisper comfort to your soul, and to let your joy in Him be more than you can express.
