We hear your heartfelt cry for your daughter, and we join you in lifting her up before the throne of grace. It is clear that you love her deeply and desire God’s healing and transformation in her life. Let us come together in prayer and biblical encouragement, trusting in the Lord’s power to restore and renew.

First, we want to affirm that your prayer is rooted in a desire for your daughter to experience God’s peace, healing, and protection. The Word of God tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We believe that as you continue to pray for her, God’s peace will indeed guard her heart and mind.

We also recognize your concern about her anger, attitude, and the potential for bitterness to take root. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." It is our prayer that your daughter will surrender these struggles to the Lord and allow Him to soften her heart. Bitterness and anger can be heavy burdens, but Christ offers freedom and healing to those who turn to Him.

You also asked the Lord to protect her from those who may speak ill of her or wish her harm. Psalm 34:19 reminds us, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." We stand with you in praying that God will be her shield and defender, guiding her through every trial and protecting her from the schemes of the enemy. The blood of Jesus is her covering, and the Holy Spirit is her Comforter and Guide.

However, we must gently address the way in which you closed your prayer. While we understand your heart was focused on Jesus, it is important to remember that prayer must always be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Salvation and access to God come only through faith in Jesus Christ. If your daughter does not yet know Him as her Lord and Savior, we encourage you to pray for her salvation as well, that she may experience the fullness of His love and grace.

Let us now lift your daughter up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion and concern for this precious young woman. Lord, we ask that You would break through any walls of anger, bitterness, or hurt that she may be carrying. Soften her heart, Father, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Heal the brokenness in her mind, body, and spirit, and let her know that she is deeply loved by You.

Lord, we pray against the spirit of bitterness and resentment. Replace it with Your kindness, humility, and love. Help her to release any grudges or negative emotions that are weighing her down, and fill her with Your joy and patience. May she reflect Your character in all she does, showing respect, sweetness, and cheerfulness to those around her.

Father, we ask for Your protection over her life. Shield her from the words and actions of those who may seek to harm her, and let her walk in the victory that is found only in You. Cover her with the blood of Jesus and surround her with Your angels. Guide her steps, Lord, and let her find her strength and identity in You alone.

We also pray for her salvation, Father. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, draw her to Yourself. Let her experience the depth of Your love and the freedom that comes from surrendering her life to Jesus Christ. May she come to know the power of Your name and the hope that is found in You.

Lord, we trust You to work in her life in ways that only You can. Give her the courage to let go of the past and embrace the future You have for her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and let her walk in the fullness of Your purpose. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

To you, dear parent, we want to encourage you to continue praying for your daughter with faith and persistence. Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Your prayers are powerful and effective, and God hears the cries of your heart. Keep speaking life over her, even when you don’t see immediate change. Trust that God is at work, even in ways you cannot yet see.

We also encourage you to model the love and character of Christ in your own life. Your daughter is watching you, and your example can speak volumes. Show her what it looks like to walk in humility, kindness, and forgiveness. Pray with her, read the Word with her, and invite her into a relationship with Jesus if she hasn’t already made that decision.

Lastly, if there are specific struggles or situations in her life that are contributing to her anger or bitterness, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support. Sometimes, professional Christian counseling or mentorship can be a valuable tool in helping her navigate these challenges. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

May the Lord bless you and your daughter abundantly as you seek Him together. We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.

It is clear how deeply you love your daughter and how much you long for her to experience peace and freedom from the anger and attitude that are weighing on her. That kind of persistent, prayerful love is a powerful force in her life, even when she may not see it yet.

As we have walked alongside many parents, we have noticed that anger in young people often signals something underneath, unspoken hurt, frustration that feels too big to name, or fear about rejection or the future. The anger sometimes becomes a shield to protect a tender place inside. While we join you in praying for her heart to soften, it may also help to gently let her know she does not have to explain everything all at once. A simple “I’m here if you want to talk, no pressure” can, over time, create a crack where light gets in. You might also ask the Lord to show you one small way you can connect with her this week that has nothing to do with the behavior you are concerned about, just a shared laugh, a favorite snack, a quiet drive. Those ordinary moments often do more than we realize.

We are praying with you, trusting that God sees the whole picture, the wounds, the insecurities, the gifts your daughter carries that are currently buried under the anger. Father, we lift this precious daughter to You. Quiet the storm inside her. Tend to whatever brokenness she carries in her mind and body, and give her the courage to let others in. Surround her with steady love and protection, and guide her mother to know when to speak and when to simply be present. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

The cry of your heart for your daughter has ascended to the throne of grace, and He who hears the groanings of His children will not turn a deaf ear. You have laid her before the Lord, as one brings a sick one to the Great Physician, and there is no better place for her than at the feet of Jesus.

Anger and bitterness are like a fever burning in the soul, and only Christ can cool that raging heat. You see the agitation and the harshness, but remember that our Lord once touched a woman with a great fever, and she arose and ministered unto Him. The healing point was contact with His hand. Oh, that glorious truth, that Jesus Christ took our nature upon Himself! There is healing in His incarnation, in His touch, in the mere fringe of His garment. The leaves of that Tree of Life, which is Christ, are for the healing of the nations, even the least thing about Him cures the deepest wounds. He can purge the proudest heart, still the most unquiet spirit, and make the soul gentle, loving, patient, and full of joy.

What is more, the Great Physician links pardon with healing. When He forgives sin, the soul’s fever breaks. The man with the palsy heard, “Your sins are forgiven you,” and then he rose and walked. Your daughter needs both forgiveness and restoration, and they flow together from the same wounded side. Therefore, cease not to bring her, in faith, before the Lord. Let your importunate prayers lay her daily beneath the eyes of Christ. He does not always heal in the moment of our asking; there are seasons of special visitation, days of refreshing. Wait upon Him as Sarah did, in holy patience, without fear, for the promise is sure.

Stand firm in the confidence that the Lord can change the life-blood of her nature. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. He will guard her from the malice of others, for His blood shields what His love embraces. The Lord will accomplish what concerns you and her. Let your faith cling to the name of Jesus, and watch for the hour when He will lift her up by the hand, restored, and ready to minister unto Him in a life of humble, cheerful service.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We must understand what true peace is. Many ask for peace simply as an absence of conflict, a calm where the roaring of the world ceases, but the peace of God is something else entirely. It is not a peace that comes from getting what we want or from others ceasing to trouble us. For if your daughter’s peace depends on the actions of men, it will quickly come to dissolution, as I have often said. Human peace comes from taking revenge or suffering no dreadful ill, but that is not the peace of Christ.

What then is the peace we should pray for her to have in her heart? It is the peace that acts as an umpire over our inner thoughts. When two thoughts are fighting within her, one bidding her to be angry and hold grudges against those who talk about her, and the other bidding her to endure and be patient, let the peace of God stand forward to decide the contest. This peace persuades her that God Himself is Peace, and He made peace with us by His own will, not receiving anything from us. When she feels anger rising as an unjust umpire, let her allow this divine peace to give the prize to the thought that bids her be humble and loving, and to put the thought of spite to shame. You pray for her to be joyful and kind, but this fruit is born only when peace rules in her heart, for peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy.

Do not think that a prayer for her to “drop the attitude” is a small thing. The ways of revengeful men are unto death, as the Scripture says. To remember injuries and nurse bitterness is not the fruit of a short-lived anger, but the mark of a soul that practises itself in evil. You rightly ask God to heal whatever is broken in her mind or body, and do you see how great a contribution you yourself can make? Consider the woman of Canaan whose daughter was grievously vexed. To her, Christ did not simply say, “Let thy daughter be made whole.” Instead He said, “Great is thy faith, be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” The power of her faith contributed not a little to the healing. Your prayer is mingled with your own struggle for her, and your faith must stand firm, not in anger, for wrath ruins all.

If you should speak to her about her attitude, remember to imitate the holy apostles. Even when Stephen was suffering evil at their hands, his face was like an angel’s, and he spoke without wrath or harshness, in grief and sorrow for his persecutors. For boldness of speech is a success, but anger is always a failure. No matter how just your words, if you speak with wrath you ruin all. And let her learn this too: if she has the boldness of one bearing the Cross, she can stop the mouths of those who trouble her without passion. A person at peace with God, who does not let contentiousness act as umpire, renders herself stronger than any external attack.

Pray then, but know that for those who would be healed by God, a heart clear of wrath is the haven into which the soul must first sail. Covering her with prayers for the protection of Christ’s blood is good, but teach her also that the peace of God, which surpasses all human understanding, must rule in her own heart. Let her not trust in a peace that comes from men, but in that fixed and steadfast peace which Christ Himself left, saying, “My peace I give unto you.” This is the peace that makes us children of God, and this is the healing you seek. Be it unto her according to your faith.
