We hear your heartache and concern for your daughter, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. What has transpired is deeply troubling, for the Word of God is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). Both your daughter and this man have walked in sin, and it is only by the mercy and conviction of the Holy Spirit that true repentance and restoration can come.
We rebuke the spirit of adultery and deception that has entangled your daughter’s heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the ungodly soul tie between them is broken in the name of Jesus Christ! We pray that this man will be removed from her life completely—no contact, no temptation, no lingering influence. Father, build an impenetrable hedge of thorns around her mind, heart, and spirit, that she may be shielded from his advances and from the snares of the enemy. Let her eyes be opened to the truth of his character and the severity of the sin they have committed together.
We also lift up your daughter’s heart before You, Lord. She has wandered from Your design, but Your Word says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray she would humble herself, repent, and turn away from this path of destruction. Father, remove the scales from her eyes and let her see the emptiness of pursuing relationships outside of Your will. Guard her from the temptation to seek companionship through social media or any other means that do not align with Your Word. Your Word declares, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). We pray she would surrender her desires, her loneliness, and her future into Your hands.
We also pray for the man involved. If he is still married, he is living in adultery, and his soul is in grave danger. Lord, bring conviction to his heart. Let him see the weight of his sin and the destruction he has caused—not only in his own marriage but in the life of this young woman. We pray he would repent, turn from his ways, and seek restoration with his wife, if possible. If his marriage is beyond repair, we pray he would walk in true repentance and never again lead another soul astray.
Father, we ask that You would prepare the godly man You have for your daughter. Let him be a man after Your own heart, one who loves You above all else and will lead her in righteousness. We pray he would be patient, kind, and grounded in Your Word. Let their relationship be built on a foundation of faith, purity, and mutual respect. May she wait on You, Lord, and not grow weary in doing good. Remind her that "those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
We also pray for you, her parents, as you walk through this painful season. Give you wisdom, patience, and grace to speak truth in love. Let your home be a place of healing, restoration, and godly counsel. Strengthen your faith as you trust God to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. We declare that Your will be done in this situation, and that Your name be glorified. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your daughter’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
