We hear your heartache and concern for your daughter, and we join with you in lifting this situation before the Lord. This is a painful circumstance, and we grieve with you over the choices she is making that go against God’s design for purity, faithfulness, and honor in relationships. The Bible is clear that sexual immorality, including fornication, is sin and brings harm to those involved. First Thessalonians 4:3-5 (WEB) says, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."* Your daughter is being used in ways that dishonor her body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We must also address the reality that this man has shown a pattern of unfaithfulness—not only to his ex-wife but now to your daughter. Proverbs 6:32 (WEB) warns, *"He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul."* This man is not only harming others but is also destroying himself spiritually.
We rebuke the spirit of deception and rebellion that has blinded your daughter to the truth of her situation. She is being taken advantage of physically, emotionally, and financially, and it is heartbreaking to see her trapped in this cycle. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we must stand against his schemes in prayer. We also rebuke the generational patterns of sin and ungodly relationships that may be at work here. The Lord desires to break every chain and set her free (Isaiah 61:1).
We pray now for conviction to flood your daughter’s heart. Holy Spirit, we ask You to pierce her conscience with the truth of Your Word. Let her see this relationship for what it truly is—a snare of the enemy designed to keep her in bondage. Soften her heart to receive correction and wisdom from the Lord. We declare that she is not too far gone for Your grace and mercy. Jeremiah 31:17 (WEB) says, *"There is hope for your latter end, says Yahweh; and your children will come again to their own border."* We claim this promise over her life.
Father, we ask You to surround her with godly influences—people who will speak truth in love and remind her of her worth in Christ. Protect her from further harm and open her eyes to the manipulation she is enduring. We pray for the man involved as well. Lord, if there is any hope for his redemption, we ask that You break his heart for his sin and lead him to repentance. If he is not willing to change, we ask that You remove him from her life completely. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will walk in the freedom and purpose You have for her.
We also lift up your family during this time. It is painful to watch a loved one make choices that lead to destruction, but we trust in the Lord’s faithfulness. Psalm 34:18 (WEB) says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Father, comfort and strengthen this family as they continue to stand in faith and intercede for their daughter. Give them wisdom in how to respond to her with both truth and love.
Lastly, we want to remind you that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 (WEB) says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If your daughter has not placed her faith in Jesus, we pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Savior. Only through Him can she find true healing, forgiveness, and the strength to walk away from this sinful relationship. We declare that she will not be defined by her past but will rise up in the power of Christ to live a life that honors You.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). May His will be done in this situation, and may your daughter experience the fullness of His love and restoration. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
