We join you in gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ for your daughter’s continued stay in detox. It is only by His grace and mercy that she has this opportunity for healing and restoration. We lift her up before the throne of God, praying fervently for her mind, body, and spirit to be renewed and strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this precious daughter’s life. Lord, we rebuke the chains of addiction that have held her captive, and we declare freedom in the name of Jesus Christ. Your Word tells us in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." We claim this freedom for her, Lord, and we ask that You break every stronghold of substance abuse, fear, and despair. Fill the void in her heart with Your love, peace, and purpose.
We pray for her mind, Lord. The enemy has sought to distort her thoughts and lead her astray, but we declare that her mind is being transformed by the renewing power of Your Word (Romans 12:2). Bring clarity, wisdom, and discernment to her, Father. Help her to recognize the lies of the enemy and to cling to the truth of Your promises. Let her meditate on scriptures that remind her of her worth in You, such as Psalm 139:14, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. The suggestion that God has forsaken ### is a lie from the pit of Hell. But our God is a deliverer, and He brought His people forth from Egypt with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
The crisis of the pit is where Christ’s ransom is discovered. ### is one for whom the Saviour spread His healing leaves. Christ is the Tree of Life whose fruit is for the healing of the nations. The Lord does not merely treat symptoms; He heals the mind, the body, and the spirit, and with that healing comes the pardon of iniquity.
He breaks the gates of brass and cuts the bars of iron in sunder. Even now, while she remains in that place of straits, the Almighty hand is working deliverance. Take care to give no tongue to your fears, for unbelief is a hound of Hell whose voice is full of blasphemy against God. Instead, let faith speak boldly, as Luther wrote upon his wall, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” The Lord has not brought her this far to leave her in the power of darkness.
