Daughter having colonoscopy

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my daughter that her test come back normal. She has it done ###. Please pray in Jesus name that she is ok please. She has been through so much!

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter as she undergoes this medical test. Father God, we ask You to watch over her with Your tender care, guiding the hands of the medical professionals and granting them wisdom. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus that the results would come back normal, bringing peace and relief to her and her family. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power.

Lord, we know that You see every struggle and every pain. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We ask that You draw near to her in this time of uncertainty, comforting her with Your presence. She has endured so much, and we pray that You would strengthen her body, mind, and spirit.

We also pray for you, as her parent, that You would grant you peace and patience as you wait for the results. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Father, we rebuke any fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18) and that Your peace will reign in this situation.

We lift this request to You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, believing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this circumstance. Amen.

We join you in praying for your daughter today, for the procedure itself and for the results you’re waiting to hear. The weight of all she’s been through makes this test feel even heavier, and we don’t take that lightly. You are not carrying it alone; we’re lifting her up with you, asking Jesus, who sees her and knows every detail, to bring a clear, normal report.

In the hours of waiting, one steady truth can hold you: God is already present in that exam room, and his care for your daughter runs deeper than any medical finding can reach. You don’t have to manufacture faith or fight off every fearful thought. Simply whisper his name when the worry surges, Jesus, and let that be your anchor.

Could you let someone from your church or a trusted friend know that you’re going through this today, so they can sit with you in spirit or even stop by? Sometimes having another person shoulder a few minutes of the waiting alongside you makes the burden feel more bearable.

Lord Jesus, we thank you that your love for this mother and her daughter never wavers. We ask right now for a smooth procedure and normal, reassuring results. Quiet her heart with your peace, the kind that doesn’t depend on outcomes but rests in your faithful presence. Guard her daughter’s body, guide the medical team, and let them soon exhale with relief and gratitude. We trust them both to you, in your strong name. Amen.

The cry of your heart is in harmony with holy writ: "Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in You: yes, in the shadow of Your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities pass." You have poured out your anxiety for your daughter, and the path of peace is to go on trusting in the living God, for in temporal things, if we learn to trust in God, we shall be happy. We are not to be idle, nor is it for us to be rash, but to trust God, acting in all prudence, and simply and entirely upon Him. See that the whole of this matter comes under the governance of faith in God. Have faith in God about everything, even about that little child that is evidently sickening, trust the child with God.

Bring everything to God by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, and then use the right means; but let your reliance be upon Him who commanded the light to shine out of darkness. He is the living God, supporting all by the power of His almighty arms, and He is your God if you are resting in Jesus Christ. If you consult His will in this, saying, "I might have preferred to avoid this trial, but I will trust the outcome to Him," you will find rest for your soul. Perhaps when you hear the news there may be cause for fresh concern, but if you have nothing in the house but God, nothing to rely upon but God, still joy in God.

Do not make a god out of your feelings or your fears. The way of salvation and the way of daily peace are the same: only trust Him. Rest in Him, and the Lord send you right speedily a calm spirit and a happy issue.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The concern for your daughter’s health presses heavily upon you, and rightly so, for a parent’s heart is bound up with her child. Yet I would remind you that the body is but the servant of the soul, and its condition, whether well or ill, is a thing indifferent in comparison with the health of the inner man. God, in His wisdom, allows us to pass through such trials not to crush us, but to wean us from excessive love of this fleeting life. Do not therefore set your hope entirely on a favorable report, as though your daughter’s wellbeing were determined by the physician’s word. That outcome lies in God’s hand, and whatever He permits, He permits for a good purpose, though it be hidden from you.

Pray, then, with fervor, but pray chiefly that her soul may be kept in peace and that she may cling to Christ whether in health or in affliction. For nothing is so productive of true health as a quiet trust in Him. The body may waste, but the soul that leans upon the Lord will be raised up. Remember that many who seem robust fall through carelessness, while many who are sick become strong in spirit. God often withdraws bodily ease to extinguish our pride and kindle our love for things above. If the test returns without cause for worry, give thanks but do not imagine that her greatest need has been met. If it should bring difficult news, do not despair; God permits even this to train her in patience and to turn her eyes toward the rest that remains for His people. The sword of the Spirit works in these moments, cutting away what hinders and purifying the affections.

Your daughter has endured much, you say. Then she has already learned something of the vanity of worldly comforts. Let her now, and you with her, despise the body’s demands insofar as they would distract from the kingdom. Sufficiency in all things is best; excess and want alike can be turned to spiritual profit by those who love God. Do not look for a painless life here; look for the life to come. When you pray in Jesus’ name, you ask for what accords with His will. His will is always to unite us more closely to Himself. Accept, then, whatever He ordains, and let your love for your daughter be shown not chiefly in anxiety for her flesh, but in guiding her to set her treasure in heaven. In that way, whatever the colonoscopy reveals, she cannot be harmed, for her true health is secure in Christ.

The ache in your words is unmistakable, and I want you to know that your request has been heard. There is a special kind of tenderness in a parent's heart when a child faces something so invasive, especially after she has already endured so much. It’s a place where fear can easily take hold, whispering that this is just one more ordeal in a long line of hardships.

In times like these, I'm often reminded how God draws near to our daughters in their distress. When we read the old stories, we see the deep, protective grief of a family when harm or threat came to a daughter. That fierce love you feel, the longing for her to simply be okay, is a shadow of the Father’s own fierce love for her. He does not stand far off, ignoring her pain or your anxiety. He has promised to be a very present help in trouble.

A medical test can feel a lot like a trial by fire. It’s natural to dread what might be revealed, to wonder what this season will produce. But remember, the ultimate purpose of a test in God’s hands is not to destroy us. Even when our own faith feels weak or our minds race with worst-case scenarios, His grace is patient and sufficient. The outcome of this procedure does not determine His love for her, nor does it define her future. The righteous life is preserved, not because it never faces the fire, but because the One who walks with us through the smoke and the trembling will not let go.

As you wait, I pray you can both find a holy pause from the frantic labor of worry. It is a time to cease from your own efforts to control the outcome and to let her rest, physically and spiritually, in the knowledge that the Great Physician is already present in that procedure room. Whatever the results show, He is already there, ready to guide the hands of the doctors and to hold your daughter steady. Let this be a moment where fear is silenced and you draw close to the Lord, placing her wholly in His care. We stand with you in asking, in Jesus’ name, for a normal result and for a deep, abiding peace to cover her completely.
